Welcome back!

Yep. I made the mistake of reading about the surgery online. I may be too scared to go through with it. Guess we'll see. :scared:
:hug::wizard:Hope things went OK.

Looks like the AC man will get another junk of my Disney fund, we now have to replace the inside unit :headache:
:hug:That stinks!

My best friend's (Jan) daughter just got married. It was beautiful. My other best friend, DeDe, came down with Chuck & I. DeDe said she brought lots of kleenex and I thought she was silly since they aren't her girls. Well, I started crying when the music started playing before the ceremony. It didn't help that Jan was crying and I so badly wanted to tell her it would be ok. We have 2 hours to kill in Green Bay waiting for the reception. I had to do something for work so set up my laptop. Thought I'd stop by here and say hi before shutting down.

Have a great time at the reception!

Hi everyone :wave2:

Was having so much trouble loading the DIS that I was only checking in with the exchange board, as I had done a few and need to keep them updated.

Now for the bad news (yeah, yeah I know, gone all this time and I come back with bad news).
My mom's one sister went into the hospital as they found an aneurysm in her stomach, can't do anything for her as they also found she has lung cancer (no she never smoked) they have given her a year.

Hope everyone is well and no bad news too. pixiedust: and :grouphug: all around.

So sorry!

Ann Marie sounds like the moving in is going well. :)

Heidi-I hope your DIS/internet issues are fixed quickly as I miss your type face around here (though the DIS is still wonky for me also). I am so sorry to hear your bad news...a stomach anuerysm sounds icky anyway and then lung cancer on top of it sounds horrid. The older gentleman at work that was off his rocker battled lung cancer for about 3 years, went in for an experimental treatment that went horribly wrong and passed away at the beginning of June. I hope that they are able to keep her comfortable:hug::hug:

Debbie-I am sorry your A/C went out....ours did too, last summer....but we are surviving without it...I don't think I could where you live.

I have had a very interesting last couple of days. I got a call yesterday that I had won a prize pack to Cheyenne Frontier Days :cool1::cool1: and when could I pick them up? (I picked them up this afternoon, it has 4 rodeo tickets, 4 museum entrance tickets, 4 meals, 4 park and ride tickets, 4 cap coupons....not shabby...but was hoping for the $500 shopping spree for there)

Abi & I then went to the cooking class that I have been enjoying every other Thursday...it was mexican so I didn't really learn any recipes, other than a strange, but tasty, cherry salsa.

I came home to a message on Facebook that a friend I lost track of (do you know how many families live in FL with the last name Sturgeon?? thousands:scared1:) had joined facebook just to find me. :lovestruc Her oldest is exactly 11 months older than Cassidy and was her first best friend. Andy(which is why we named or Pal Mickey, Andy) is now in the Army serving in Afghanistan right now but is stationed out of Ft. Carson which is just about an hour and a half away from us. :cool1:

This morning the girls and I went to have our hair cut.....our friends that did it have a worm farm....they are now probably happily munching on about 6 lbs of hair....my hair hasn't been this short since I was a little kid, I think.

I promise pictures later.

Tomorrow, after hitting the Plato's Closet grab bag sale we will head to the new movie theater that is having $2 movie, popcorn and pop previews tomorrow to benefit a local charity. :goodvibes

Debbie - I am sorry about the A/C. :guilty:

Heidi - Glad you popped in. I am sorry about your mom's sister.

So I had the thing on my bottom lid done. Good thing I left the top lid - I don't think I could have stood to have the top done. The numbing needles were bad, the lid retractor was bad. The actual extraction was fine. Of course now my eyelid is swollen, discolored, and really sore. Just like it was 3 weeks ago when the stye was really bad!!! :rotfl2: One more week of eye drops, another MONTH of oral antibiotics. Sigh. She said she isn't sure how much better it will look in 3 weeks, but she said we definitely shouldn't mess with it again before we leave for WDW. If I am not happy with the results I can come back in after the trip. I think regardless of the outcome I will NOT repeat this procedure.

I am still having issues with the DIS (sigh) :(
And that is such a pain, because I am the sick person who must go back and read everything and I stopped on page 191  but I am all caught up now.

Elizabeth - that sounds horrible! I hope it heals quickly and nicely. :wizard:

Thanks everyone. I go and have all the yearly exams to just keep an eye on everything, since it seems like my family is dropping like flies from cancer. (Of mom's siblings that have died all has been from cancer)
