Bernadette your pictures are so colorful & bright! I really miss AKL lodge now, I just love staying there. Look forward to seeing more.

I am asking for prayers for my family. my Grandma is in iCU she started having bleeding from her rectum on friday. Last night she got 4 units of blood and 6 units of plasma. They are doing a scope down her throat and a colonoscopy today to try to find out where the bleeding is coming from. They will try to fix it if they can find it. She has a pacemaker that is doing almost all the work for her heart. she is a diabeitc whos sugars are never under control. I am asking God for his will to be done and to take her if its time. so prayers for us if it does happen soon. I am tired of seeing her suffer.

Sending prayers Jennifer

That's the way mom's here are. We call it the Barbie syndrome. They have to be glammed up with their diamonds, etc. Makes me feel like "plain Jane!"

My niece has done this several times. Most recently, last week. She really chopped her hair! She's 5 and her parents have told her repeatedly that they will shave her head if it happens again. She didn't believe them, but this last time, the clippers came out and the hair came off! She now has a buzz cut just like her big brothers!

:rotfl::eek:I'm proud of them sticking to their guns. I really do need a picture though :)

:wizard::hug:

Today is errand day here. I have to do the grocery shopping, and make a run to the library. I hope it goes quickly, as I really need a nap. Poor baby is still trying to cut that first tooth, he also has a cold, so his nose is plugged up and really icky. It was so bad last night, that I had to wake him up every half hour to suck it out with the aspirator! Poor little guy! He's pretty miserable. So, neither of us have slept well the last couple of nights.

I'll try to check in later.

:wizard::wizard:I hope that you can both get some rest soon.

So if anybody ever is in a funk I will send Cassidy's boyfriend over:goodvibes...the girls and I often are teasing that I am the best mom in the world (I better be in their world:lmao:)...last night it was because I was making Cassidy's favorite meal, made the cupcakes (which are still on the counter:rotfl2:) and some other silly little things...and Josh piped up from the floor that I was the best mom. :lovestruc For all the crap that I have going on right now for him to say that made my heart soar. :cloud9:

What a nice boy

It was! They were pretty clean, according to my hygienist, and I have no cavities. I asked why I didn't get my picture taken for the door along with all the rest of the kidlets that belong to the No Cavities Club. They thought I was kidding...

Stupid dentist. You should have your picture on the wall too.

So I was thinking of doing a scavenger hunt for Olivia and Ryan after Olivia's Birthday party guest leave. We are doing a Tinkerbell party. So I was thinking of saying it looks like Peter Pan and the Lost boys have hidden one of your presents. Have clues to things around the yard and either have little presents hid their with the next clue, or just do the clues and have everything in one box individually wrapped. I was thinking of wrapping her autograph cards and a small clip board seperate, then a fan that lights up that I got at Target and some light up toys that I got at walgreens. those are the things that will either go in the box or be wrapped with the clues. I think the main box will have a letter from Mickey and some confetti and maybe ballons in it sayin who all is going to WDW. Was thinking of making some plane tickets and park tickets and luggage tags in the big box as well.

That sounds like a great idea. I know that my kids love scavenger hunts.

So that mom from ballet? I swear, I really do hope they have a good time at WDW.

Today she says they are staying at POFQ (or maybe POR). That was the only resort with a room. Well, yeah, when you call 18 freaking days beforehand! :scared1: No ADRs except that lunch at LTT. But they will order room service for breakfast. Um, NO, you won't, because mods do not HAVE room service. But they will be on the monorail. Um, NO, you WON'T! So she says she thought I said it was on the monorail. NO. I said GF is on the monorail because she said it looks nice. She said her DH won't pay the prices at GF. Well then, NO monorail!

I have to wonder what else she thinks that she hasn't said out loud. She seems to have a LOT of wrong ideas, and that will not make for a good trip.

I should already be in bed. It was a whirlwind afternoon. It was pouring, but Lacrosse happens in the rain  Hunter had a game at 4 PM in a nearby town so we had to leave as soon as the boys got off the bus. It poured, thankfully we had rain suits so we stayed dry, cold but dry. The refs didn't show up so Chris had to ref the first half of the game and the opposing coach refed the second half. We lost :sad2: That game got over around 5:40 and we rushed to get Nick to his game at our home field. He needed to be dressed for warm ups and at the field by 6. We made it. Dinner was subs that I had made and brought. Nick ate during Hunter's game and the rest of us ate while he was warming up. Nick's game started 15 minutes late as we had to wait for the refs. That game ended around 8:15 so we got home to start baths and homework around 8:45 PM. I now have everyone in bed and I need to get there too. Nick's team won their first game :cool1: The final score was 9 - 3.

Nick had a letter in the mail tonight. The teachers have selected him to be an usher for the 8th grade graduation. He will also get to attend the graduation dance. It is a big honor, but Nick isn't too sure about it. He isn't really into the dance thing and the graduation sounds more like work than fun. Hopefully when he tells his friends they will make him think it is a good thing.

Jennifer - Prayers for your grandmother

Glynis - Glad to hear Timothy had a better morning, as little as she is Aubrey is acting like she's starting to cut a tooth

Elizabeth - I'm sorry to say that even though I got a good start I have fallen behind on the packing, I don't know how I'm going to get all the things done that I need too before next Friday, but somehow it will happen.

Kelli - Have a wonderful trip and tell Mickey I'll be right behind ya!

Kristine - Have a wonderful trip also, I hate that we'll just miss you and Kelli

Deb - Congrats to the boys

Hello all.

Glynis - I hope Timothy has a better night tonight.

Jennifer - I love your scavenger hunt ideas. Hope you can find the hat soon.

Elizabeth - I hope the dance Mom has a better trip than it's looking like.

Deb - Congrats to Nick's team.

Well, the gods were on my side and we had a good MOPS morning today. My one usual crier and always hanger-on was wonderful today! He had a big grin on his face most of the day, asked me to hold him just twice all day and never once shed a tear. Woohoo!!! Too bad we only have one more week. I hope it means he's turned a corner overall and will do better in all similar situations. He was truly a joy to be around today as opposed to the work involved in the past.

Even better, we managed to get the playroom 85% complete. All little stuff is sorted, organized and put away. I've got some big stuff to finish up with, games to reassemble and one last basket of stuff to sort. Terra was a very big help and it all looks great. Even better, the smallest stuff is up and out of the reach of the little girls and the play kitchen has bins now so it shouldn't get back to the recent disaster state. Woohoo!!!

I do have the baby tomorrow after all, but I'm feeling better about that after a good day today. The washer is also at least limping along so I don't have to get to Kristi's to do laundry. I do think I'm going to make myself a birthday cake, though, cause gosh darn it I want one! ;) Think I can argue that if I make it myself, I don't have to share?

And with that, I think I'm going to try and get us towards bed. I'm exhausted and would love a decent night's sleep. Night all!

SO they found a couple of Polyps in Grandmas colon but not the source of the bleeding. She was doing okay when I left work. They will have her swallow some pills in the morning that will put dye in her small intestines as they could not see that area with the colonoscopy today. Thanks for all the prayers and hugs

Deb how many clues do you give the for their treasure hunt, how easy or hard do you make it?

I like to do about 5 clues. I make the difficulty variable based on the age of the child. I try to draw pictures of an object and hide a clue in that object. Like the refigerator, a bathtub, chair etc. If were outside I try to use easily identifiable places. The older boys read now so written clues work for them, but since I'm not a good artist the drawn pictures are probably more difficult :lmao:
