He looks very handsome. His glasses are very similar to Hunter's

Wow, that turned out great

I need to get this off my chest. I can't vent it in front of the kids, and dh doesn't seem to understand. Since I don't want to start a fight with him, you are my "lucky" audience.
My in-laws aren't coming to Matthew's graduation, because it will be long and boring (and FIL doesn't really like crowds). We aren't having a party, but I was planning to taking the grandparents (my parents are coming) and any other family* that wants to come out to dinner. I guess the group will be a little smaller. Am I right to feel a little hurt by this or am I overreacting as dh seems to think? We weren't invited to his nephew's graduation last year, so I don't know if anyone (including the graduate) even went to that. I know that his family isn't the type for ceremony and celebration, but to really not want to attend your grandson's graduation!? They only live about 75-90 minutes from here, so it's not a hardship to make the trip, and they are young grandparents in good health.
* Dh's sister, her boyfriend, and their kids (16 and 18) were going to be invited, too, but I didn't really expect that they would come. They live near my MIL and FIL. I will extend the invitation to my brother and his family as well, but they are far away, so I don't expect them to come either.
I'll get over it, and Matthew doesn't seem to really care one way or another. Maybe I am making too big a deal over it.
Beth - you've gotten some great advice, and yes, I agree. I would be furious.
Elizabeth - I'm glad you got an appt. with the NP.
Anne Marie - beautiful kitchen! When is the housewarming party?![]()
I'm home from job #1 of the day. I'm pretty sure that I mentally checked out around 10:30 this morning. Of course I'm in a much better mood than I was yesterday or even this morning. I finally decided I would watch the area in front of me and be oblivious to everything else. No one drowned so I guess it worked. At one point we tried to count heads and we had over 250 people with a whopping 4 guards. Now tell me would you feel safe? I left work on time even with all the begging to get me to stay late. They made the bed, they can lie in it. They've know exactly how busy this week would be ever since they saw it for February vacation. Anyhoo, I'm resting my aching knees (concrete for 8 hours times 2 days is h e double hockey sticks on my knees) We will leave here around 4 to return dvds and get a couple of new ones then I'm off to work.
Deb,,,,I remember when Howie was 16 and he was lifeguarding at the resort where I was selling or trying to sell timeshares. I eventually sold a program where they could "try" the program. Anyhoooo, they had an outside pool and I remember one day they had over 350 in the pool. The limit was supposed to be half with the staff they had on hand. The next day someone did almost drown but Howie was not on duty. He finally left and got a job at another pool where it was a lot slower. It was very stressful and I was glad he left there.
Keep to your guns, get out if you are not happy. Stay only if you can have a hand in things.
How's that for an explination?![]()

Hi, DDA!
Long time, no "talk." Things have been busy here with family, house cleaning, taxes, etc. - throw in some fun days with migraines (today being one of them), and I don't know where the time has gone.
I'm having a difficult time sleeping these days, so I enjoyed catching up on DDA chatter tonight while waiting for sleepiness to set in. I can't recall everything I read, but a bigfor all. It seems like for the most part, everyone is finally well and beginning to enjoy spring - I'm glad to hear it!
Have a restful night, DDA!
Thanks for all the nice comments on Nicholas' glasses.
Jennifer -for a Disney trip!
Hi Lindsay! Nice to see you. I hope you are enjoying your pregnancy somewhat.
This morning I have a meeting with the x. If you feel like throwing somemy way, I sure would appreciate it.
