Here is my little man.....

He looks very handsome. His glasses are very similar to Hunter's

Wow, that turned out great :thumbsup2

I need to get this off my chest. I can't vent it in front of the kids, and dh doesn't seem to understand. Since I don't want to start a fight with him, you are my "lucky" audience.

My in-laws aren't coming to Matthew's graduation, because it will be long and boring (and FIL doesn't really like crowds). We aren't having a party, but I was planning to taking the grandparents (my parents are coming) and any other family* that wants to come out to dinner. I guess the group will be a little smaller. Am I right to feel a little hurt by this or am I overreacting as dh seems to think? We weren't invited to his nephew's graduation last year, so I don't know if anyone (including the graduate) even went to that. I know that his family isn't the type for ceremony and celebration, but to really not want to attend your grandson's graduation!? They only live about 75-90 minutes from here, so it's not a hardship to make the trip, and they are young grandparents in good health.

* Dh's sister, her boyfriend, and their kids (16 and 18) were going to be invited, too, but I didn't really expect that they would come. They live near my MIL and FIL. I will extend the invitation to my brother and his family as well, but they are far away, so I don't expect them to come either.

I'll get over it, and Matthew doesn't seem to really care one way or another. Maybe I am making too big a deal over it.

Beth,,,Whether it is long or boring, it is a grandchild. FIL can sit in the back if he does not like crowds.

Some graduations limit the number of tickets given out and if it had rained, we would have had to choose who got inside when our kids graduated !!!!

Matthew will say it does not bother, but he is being kind for your sake. Any (well most) child wants their grandparents there

Beth - you've gotten some great advice, and yes, I agree. I would be furious.

Elizabeth - I'm glad you got an appt. with the NP.

Anne Marie - beautiful kitchen! When is the housewarming party? ;)

I sure would love to come!!! :lmao::cool1:

I'm home from job #1 of the day. I'm pretty sure that I mentally checked out around 10:30 this morning. Of course I'm in a much better mood than I was yesterday or even this morning. I finally decided I would watch the area in front of me and be oblivious to everything else. No one drowned so I guess it worked. At one point we tried to count heads and we had over 250 people with a whopping 4 guards. Now tell me would you feel safe? I left work on time even with all the begging to get me to stay late. They made the bed, they can lie in it. They've know exactly how busy this week would be ever since they saw it for February vacation. Anyhoo, I'm resting my aching knees (concrete for 8 hours times 2 days is h e double hockey sticks on my knees) We will leave here around 4 to return dvds and get a couple of new ones then I'm off to work.

Deb,,,,I remember when Howie was 16 and he was lifeguarding at the resort where I was selling or trying to sell timeshares. I eventually sold a program where they could "try" the program. Anyhoooo, they had an outside pool and I remember one day they had over 350 in the pool. The limit was supposed to be half with the staff they had on hand. The next day someone did almost drown but Howie was not on duty. He finally left and got a job at another pool where it was a lot slower. It was very stressful and I was glad he left there.

Keep to your guns, get out if you are not happy. Stay only if you can have a hand in things.

Thank you for the advice. These super busy days are really only during school breaks. While I am stressed this week, it is not usually this bad. I've actually met a lot of very nice people that come in daily to swim and I think some just come to chat because they are lonely. I also like the lifeguards that are on my regular shift, we work very well together and have very similar values and expectations. One of them spoke up today (instead of me ) and he apparently PO'd one of the managers. What he said was entirely true and needed to be said (I said it yesterday myself). This summer I will be done work each day before it will get busy. I can do this, but I will not jeopardize my values or risk anyones life.

How's that for an explination? :teeth:

It all sounds WONDERFUL! Both locations for eating are delightful and the F&W Festival at DL is supposed to be different from the one at WDW. I can't wait to hear all about it all! :teeth:

Tammi, Nicholas looks very handsome with his glasses :goodvibes

Cute tattoo Robyn!

Chanon I know you are excited about the sonogram tomorrow!

I think we are going to WDW July 12 thru July 20. Their is even a pop fridge swap available for those dates.:woohoo:

Hi, DDA!

Long time, no "talk." Things have been busy here with family, house cleaning, taxes, etc. - throw in some fun days with migraines (today being one of them), and I don't know where the time has gone.

I'm having a difficult time sleeping these days, so I enjoyed catching up on DDA chatter tonight while waiting for sleepiness to set in. I can't recall everything I read, but a big :wizard::yay::hug: for all. It seems like for the most part, everyone is finally well and beginning to enjoy spring - I'm glad to hear it!

Have a restful night, DDA!

Thanks for all the nice comments on Nicholas' glasses.

Jennifer - :woohoo: for a Disney trip!

Hi Lindsay! Nice to see you. I hope you are enjoying your pregnancy somewhat.

This morning I have a meeting with the x. If you feel like throwing some :wizard: my way, I sure would appreciate it.

It's so good to hear from you. How is your pregnancy going? We've been thinking of you

I'll send pixie dust your way and I'd love to send daggers you x's way. Hey, does anyone know voodoo magic ;)

It's cold and rainy here. I'm hoping that today is quick and painless, but I doubt it. I've got to admit that I'm feeling my age this morning. Being on my feet from 7 AM - 10 PM yesterday was really hard on my legs, must be all the concrete in sandals. Anyway my calves are tied in knots this morning. I took some advil so hopefully that will help.

Thanks for all the compliments on my tattoo. I am so glad it's over (well, at least until I decide to go back) I am very happy with the way it turned out even though it wasn't quite what I envisioned (something MUCH smaller)

Things are just about the same here...crazy, busy. I did find out a few days ago that Joe will be coming in for a visit in 2 weeks. Very excited!!! We are planning a brunch for the Saturday morning he is here. Thank god, he choose a weekend that didn't have a thing on the calendar! No one knows that he is coming. He wants to surprise his mom. I am going to have her come watch the kids while I pick him up at the airport. Then I'll bring him back here, should be great!

This weekend is Mo's party...I am woefully unprepared. Since it's at one of those bounce places there isn't a lot I need to do but I haven't given it much thought. I am ordering pizza for the kids but refuse to pay $15 for a cheese pizza for the parents. I can bring in veggie & fruit trays along with chips and such. I just need to figure out favors for the boys, the girls are all getting a new pair of Littlest Pet Shop socks. I hope to get the cupcakes and her cake baked and in the freezer today. I already have Em's friend's cake baked and frozen.

Tonight is WW's and Em's jui jitsu. Tomorrow is GS's and Friday is an event for GS's. I hope to make a ton of progress Friday after I get home from Lu's eye dr appointment. I do not want to be up all night Friday.

Have a great day!!
