Hello, DDA!
I've mostly been reading fluff lately, so that's where my recommendations are.
If you like light mysteries, try the Aunt Dimity series by Nancy T. Atherton. I definitely recommend reading those in order.
I like Diane Mott Davidson, too, and Joanna Fluke also write mysteries that include recipes.
If you like a little teen angst, Laura has discovered Sarah Dessen. I have read some of her books, too, and they are good young adult fiction.
I read Confessions of a Shopaholic recently and enjoyed it, though my stomach was at times in knots for the main character (due to her economic decisions). It's supposed to be light and funny; I'm just a bit weird. I haven't read the rest yet, but I will look them up.
Have you already read the Meg Cabot books: Size 12 is Not Fat, Size 14 is Not Fat Either, and Big Boned? I re-read those three recently and really enjoyed them (again).
I enjoy Tamar Myers mysteries, too. Again, you'll probably want to start at the beginning of the series.
I'm trying to think of what I have read lately that's not mystery or young adult...I'm sure there must have been something.
