oo i cant believe i did not tell you guys! A friend of mine and i just booked a 9 night caribbean cruise for the summer--we got a really good deal and no airfare as its out of baltimore!

Wonderful, how exciting!

Speaking of craigslist... I have decided I need to just get rid of my 1996 Mazda 626. It will not pass emission inspection in our county without a good amount of $$ spent. It owes me absolutely nothing and is sitting unused in our driveway. I just have to come up with an "ad' that will get it off our hands quickly for a fair but low price. That is one of the things on today's "To-Do" list.

Hope you find a buyer quickly!

Hope you find a buyer quickly!

ditto :)
My class is "back to school" today--we had to go to school today to make up for a snow day we had in early March. Im, obviously, not there so they have a sub, so I am sure they are giving that sub a run for her money! Im hoping they are semi good today! Though I wish I wasnt off for a funeral, it is nicen ot having to go back on a Friday!

Good morning!

Mom's appointment is at 9:30 this morning and the doctor still thinks it is nothing. But with having the Cat Scan she won't need another Mamo in 6 months, she can wait the full year.
Hope all goes well.

I'm so glad you all seem to be settling in. How about you? Have you met any nice neighbors?
Yes thanks. They are having a "dip" party for us tonight. Everyone has been very welcoming.I really don't want to leave.

No BAD news, but not great news either. Now I have to come up with another proposal, and hope he's got a heart and accepts it.
Oh Tammi I hope he accepts your next proposal. I have my fingers crossed for you.

You mean you finally got a microwave? ;) :rolleyes1 :rotfl:
:rotfl: Not yet! The applainces come today..I meant I had fun looking at it & loving all the cabinet space.;) I have only boiled water for coffee so far!:lmao:

Theresa  There is one nasty storm heading your way. Denver is expected to get 20 inches of snow :scared: I hope that the reports are wrong

Elin please warn your daughter to be careful in Boston, that goes for your family too Bernadette. There is a Craig's List murderer on the loose. It's all over the news, 3 victims in a couple of days :wizard:

yup.....we were supposed to get a ton of snow overnight....all rain...it is now snowing. Abi has a sleepover tonight for a friends birthday...they were supposed to go over to the park to hang out/skateboard (the family lives across from it) I don't think that's happening.

They keep revising the storm totals....my guess is we'll get a total of maybe a foot.....but 10 miles south/west of us will get probably 3 ft. The only thing that's ticking me off....it's messing with the tv signal in the living room so I don't have my usual stuff to listen to while looking for work/working on the computer.

Let's see if I can catch up through the migraine fog:

Deb-hope you all had fun at Six Flags!!

Debbie-have a good day off

Elin-hope you are able to come up with an appealing car ad!!

Congrats on the new tickers Jen and Chanon!!

Tammi-I am sorry you are going through this crap still, if you want we can hire somebody to rough him up:3dglasses:rotfl:

I have an odd favor to ask of any of our DISigners on here...

The National Federation of Music Clubs is having it's 87th annual National Music Week Celebration the first week of May. We always have our yonger students color a poster to be hung at the local library alongside all the compositions from our older students. NFMC has always sent us a poster to use, but this year it is AWFUL! It shows a mandolin and a keyboard and a maraca and then says: Music... Poetry of the Heart" (that is the theme this year). There is nothing in that poster that represents the theme! http://www.nfmc-music.org/Documents/Arts Division/AR-12-8.pdf

I was going to try to come up with something but am not finding any suitable clipart so far. Anyone in the mood to take a stab at it? Or point me in the direction of good free clipart I can use? The kids have to be able to color the poster, by the way.

Sorry you have a migraine, Theresa. I hope your weather is not as bad as it appears it will be

Anne Marie - I am glad you have found a new home!!

Here's something I threw together, your theme brought this to mind, maybe you could center this with instruments around it?

Debbie... that is great! I wonder if I sent you a different music staff if you would use it instead? Do JPEGs work?

the newscasters are all salivating over this one (2 hours of lunchtime news:confused3). I just hope it doesn't end up that the schools cancel proms and then, like last non storm, they all overestimate the storm and the proms could have been held.

My migraine was so bad that I had to lay down.....it's still around but I had to eat something.

Debbie-that design is absolutely beautiful.:goodvibes

Well, I watched one person ahead of me waiting for her interview and was glad I went with the outfit I did....I was more dressed up than her but not so much that I stood out.

I did well enough to get a second interview on the spot....I will know by next Thursday if I am employed by Target.

My mom was told last night that her position will be rethought out as a ministerial position (she was the office manager at a church also). How they think that a minister is going to do her job on top of the other "stuff" they envision he/she will do, I am not sure. Mom and Mark just did a lot of renovations on their house so they need her to work at least part time.
:wizard::wizard::wizard:Hope this works out for you!!! :wizard:Good luck to your Mom too.

Checking in....

Today is our anniversary....we just got back form our traditional dinner out. We always go back to the French restaurant (Chez Collette) that we had our wedding reception at. They were very kind to us...they made us a custom dessert that I didn't expect. We had a good time...polished off a great bottle of wine. I am exhausted now!!! :rotfl:

Hope everyone is hanging in there....I think we are all due for some good health & prosperity!!!
Happy belated Anniversary!

Mom's appointment is at 9:30 this morning and the doctor still thinks it is nothing. But with having the Cat Scan she won't need another Mamo in 6 months, she can wait the full year.
:wizard:Hope things went well this morning!

Well, now. I had to google this to see what the situation was. Last night I made a sale from craigslist so this piqued my concern. But since I'm neither a masseuse nor a prostitute, and I don't make my sales in a hotel room, my concerns are less. Whew.
That's what I was thinking only I didn't know how to spell masseuse.;)

You mean you finally got a microwave? ;) :rolleyes1 :rotfl:

I like both your tickers!

Stay safe!

Hope you're feeling better too!

Turns out it was an MRI not a Cat Scan, but she is too big to fit in the machine so they will just have to do a regular Mamo.
