DDA Chapter 20

Good morning, DDA.

Happy Birthday to Matthew!

I am relatively certain that at some point to day my head will pop off due to the stress of dealing with my child. I talked to the computer teacher this morning. She sent home a progress report and a failure notice, but DS made them evaporate. He is good at that. He had 2 missing assignments, he gave her one today and he will complete the other and give it to her tomorrow. He also can re-take 2 tests and if he aces them he can have a max score of 80 as opposed to a 70 and a 57. :sad2: WHY can he not seem to think to do these things on his own? This is crunch time - anything not done by Friday won't count. He MIGHT, just MIGHT be able to squeak by with a barely passing grade IF he really gives 110% over the next 2 days.

The band director has NO ESTIMATE of when they will be back from the competition. I can send DH down there to try to get DS, BUT I have no clue how DH would FIND DS once he got there. I also have no clue what we would do if the bus left when DH was on his way down there. :confused3 DS would be ON the bus. The other issue is that DS's backpack is locked in the band room, and he HAS to have it because he has stuff in there that HAS to be done tonight. I am SICK about him missing his theater performance. I called the theater and told them I just don't know what to expect.

The neuropsychologist from the children's hospital e-mailed me back - he is going to try to call me today or tomorrow. He said if I don't hear from him that I am welcome to call and see if I can catch him between appointments. So that's a good thing.

Thanks for the birthday wish for Matthew.

   and lots and lots of pixiedust: that he can dig his way out of this mess.

I guess I need to end my P3 for now and get a few more things done.

:wizard: for everyone...I hope something can help sweep away all the funks and stress.

Happy Birthday Matthew!! Enjoy your first day of being an "adult"

Let's see if I can catch up from the little posting party :goodvibes

I need to do our taxes today....yes I procrastinated a little but we also didn't get one tax form until last week. Because of some of the stuff that is going on around here I wasn't in any hurry to do them either. If we owe state I will have to file an extension.

Robyn-please take a few minutes to breathe. It will all get done, unless you get sick.

Tammi-the pics were adorable:goodvibes

Elizabeth-I hope DS can pull it through. Cassidy seems to be doing okay...the teachers are letting her go this weekend so she must have done some butt kissing. :rotfl2:

So I have a question for you all....I am a big believer in you are given situations that will teach you....

What exactly am I learning from the last year??

Tammi, those are great pictures! Alyssa's dress is beautiful, and Nicholas looks so grown up. The corsages bring back good memories for me. I don't think anyone has had an Easter corsage since my grandmother died, but we bought her one every year.
Thanks! My dad bought them for us. :goodvibes They aren't nearly as popular as they once were. The only people who wear them anymore are old ladies. But Alyssa was thrilled with it. I, on the other hand, felt weird about it.

Great photos Tammi, looks like the kids had a great Easter! You all looked very nice dressed up :goodvibes

Did I miss Alyssa's birthday?
Thanks.

No, her birthday is the 30th, but because my parents won't be here for it, they got her a cake and we celebrated there. It was an ice cream cake! Let me tell you, my kids were so excited to have ice cream!

I don't exactly believe that, so I don't have an answer. My belief is what doesn't kill you just makes you stronger. I must be Hercules by now.

I don't really believe that, either. And this thing with DS is definitely going to kill me. It might even kill me today. So there you have it.

Thanks for Matthew's birthday wish!

You are learning that life just sucks sometimes, but that you can hold on until it gets better. It will get better!

You definitely don't look like an old lady! Easter Sunday dress has become pretty casual around these parts, but it was fun back when it was so special.

 You are a very strong woman, Tammi.

Thanks for the Happy Birthday to Matthew!

Anyone else having crazy weather? first we have rain, then snow, sleet, hail and all the while the sun is trying to shine.

I do that one too...you and I both must be Herculian. :goodvibes

Beth glad to see you around today. Now if Jennifer (tink), Lindsay, Tom, Chanon and Kristine would post more then once every few weeks.
