Deb I am glad Hunter finally talked with you. Riley has times where he gets very quiet & I know something is wrong. It takes him a while but he will finally open up & talk to me about it.

Bernadette sorry Dell left a sour taste for you, hope you find the perfect laptop soon!

Robyn you have done so well with your weight loss, don't be sad

Bernadette- Good luck with the laptop. I think the thing with Dell is they always have so many specials going on and it is a matter of navigating those specials to figure out the best deal and what is still working.
Thanks! It was bad enough that Dell has like a million offers out there and then there are sites with coupons codes but this catalog came in the mail today and said for home delivery 4/8 to 4/10 and now they won't honor it? It wasn't so low that it was a typo. The "substitute" for $100 more has a larger hard drive. It just feels like a scam and now I'm angry with them and wondering if it was good idea at all.

Bernadette- Good luck with the laptop decision

Emma and I just got home from WW's(this is the 1st week since Jan. that I posted a gain. It was only .6lbs but it was not a loss, I am sad :( but I will blame it on the fact that my foot is very swollen!! ) and martial arts, and dinner with her best friend and a few other errands.

I am headed to bed...exhausted and feeling a tad sick, which I do not have time for!
Thanks! 1/2 a pound isn't bad. Hope you're not getting sick!:wizard:

Thanks! The macs are just so pricey! I might consider a Sony. I might just give up. I might try calling Dell.

Good morning. :)

It's Friday! For me, not the rest of you. Well, maybe some. ;)

Today is NOT Friday for me. I actually work both jobs today. And I have waitress shifts both weekend days this week. That means I will work 11 straight days before finally having a day off :scared: Oh well, it's certainly helping us catch up on bills :thumbsup2

I have a Sony Viao. I love it. :teeth: Bought it at Best Buy.

Good morning, DDA!

I'm sorry that I haven't been around much, but there is a bunch of meet planning and drama going on in synchro that is exhausting me. I've done and redone my design so many times and spent so many hours writing the meet announcement that I can't stand to be on the computer for anything else. There is a bunch of other stuff going on, too, but trust me, no one wants me to go over all that. I have been reading some and thinking of all of you. :goodvibes

Schools are off today, tomorrow, and all next week here. Today we are just kind of relaxing and getting ready to go to my parents' house for Easter. Next week my first baby turns 18. :scared1: Sometimes I wish that journey had been a little slower and less hectic, but I wouldn't change it for the world.

Deb, Bernadette, and Tammi, your boys sound a lot like my boys. Yes, there are a few rough years in there, but I can tell you that it is a blessing to have such mature, thoughtful, young men. Tell them not to count out every boy who is acting like an idiot right now. Sometimes those boys do mature into great friends (and some they'll want to always avoid). They should stay strong and stick to their principles. They will find a group to fit with. In the meantime, just keep loving them like you do and encourage them to try new things that they enjoy and where they can meet like-minded people.

Robyn, the tattoo is beautiful!

Becky, I hope that you can find some more "me time" and start to feel better.

Tammi, you have been in my thoughts and prayers. I hope you have a good resolution soon.

Vicki, Congratulations! :woohoo:

Tammi lots of :hug::hug: for you.

Tom love the dress!

Becky hope you are not coming down with anything :wizard: Sounds like you need to plan another trip :)

Ditto!

Deb, I'm glad Hunter is now sharing his feelings. It's hard being that age, but I'm very glad that he is wise enough not to be a follower. Perhaps if you heap mounds of praise on him for his good decision-making, that will make him feel better. Nicholas does not have many boy friends. He much prefers to hang with the girls, for the same reasons as Hunter, I assume. He really doesn't like rough-housing (unless it's with a grown-up) and all the other antics that boys do. I think he feels that girls are much calmer and just more pleasant to be around. He's got another thing coming when the hormone years hit!!! :rotfl: Also, remind him of the "grass isn't always greener" theory. I'd hate for him to switch and find that out too late. Good luck with everything. :wizard:

I have to warn you, it gets worse.
DS's grades have dropped like a rock. It's so bad that now he is failing science and may not be allowed to go to the band competition next week. Policy prohibits participation in UIL events if a student is failing any core courses. We upped his Focalin, we bought new glasses, his grades should be coming UP. I am now thinking it isn't an academic issue, but there is some other problem we aren't aware of. DH and I both asked and asked and asked him and all we get is "I don't know."
He gets angry and defensive, and he lies. Last night he finally said the annoying kid (the one we took to Great Wolf who drove me up the wall) has been really nasty to him lately. The kid CONSTANTLY says "You should stop talking. Nobody likes you, and you aren't funny." The kid shoved him aside in the hall and said "Move! There are IMPORTANT people coming through." I hate this kid. Hate him. He is unsupervised all the time, has a complete flake of a single mom, and is relentlessly looking for attention. Obviously he has decided the way to elevate his social status is to bully DS.
DS has started eating lunch in the science classroom, which was my first red flag. Now I find out the bully comes to the science room as well, and that ISN'T HIS SCIENCE TEACHER. He is purposely seeking out DS because they only have one class together. Now DS did say yesterday he was trying to finish up some assignments for her, and she mad the annoying kid leave. I feel like she will ban the kid from her room if she knows the whole story. I sent her an e-mail about his grades yesterday, and I told DS to go TELL HER what is going on. So we'll see. I told DS we will get the Asst. Principal involved if we need to, but this is "girly" bullying. All verbal, and no threats. The kid is just a jerk, and I have a feeling if we report it as bullying the administrators will do one of these  and tell me to get on with it.

I haven't seen that yet. I watched Milk a few days ago and really enjoyed it. Sean Penn did an amazing job.

I would like to see "Milk".

Good morning,

I was looking at this laptop. (Acer Aspire) Anyone heard anything about this one?

Uncle1 got one for Christmas from Uncle2. If you don't have huge expectations I think it's fine. He says it "aspires" to be a real laptop. :rotfl2:

My laptop is a 15" Toshiba. It only has like 2 GB memory, but we use it exclusively for pics when we travel, and we transfer all of the pics off when we get home. At home we only use it for internet browsing.

I have a Sony Viao. I love it. :teeth: Bought it at Best Buy.
Me too. Me TOO. ME TOO! :rotfl2:
Thanks! I called the outlet and I think I'm going to run over there at lunch and get one.:thumbsup2 I have a $100 coupon for the outlet thanks to my AAA card.

I don't know anything about Acer but the price and specs look great!

:hug:That is so heartbreaking. Doesn't this kid annoy the other kids too?

Joe gets "no one likes you" crap too from a couple of kids (1 boy/1 girl-the new renter next door who we found out will be gone for the summer but back in the fall:headache:).

I don't know. I think he has chosen DS partly because he is jealous. As far as I can tell, this kid has no dad. The mom seems to have 100% custody of him. I feel bad that we encouraged DS to be nice to this kid in the first place. He is new to the district, and he didn't know anybody. Now he is comfortable enough to be an *** to DS to try to get the popular kids to notice him. The thing is, a lot of the popular kids are kids DS knows from elementary. They don't hang out with DS, but they aren't malicious, either. They are perfectly fine with saying hello to him or whatever, so I can't see this kid's antics getting him very far with that group.

Ugh. Sorry the renters are coming back. That sucks. :sad2:

Deb-I am so glad Hunter opened up to you. It's so hard to see our babies hurting. Becky is right there are so very few people who fit the "mold" so lots of kids feel what Hunter does right now. Both Cassidy and Abi have gone through this and continue to every once in awhile. Teacher troubles are (sometimes) easier to handle than peer.

Elizabeth-I hope that you can get to the bottom of DS's troubles.

Tammi-If those are being offered next year, I know what one thing Abi will want to do for a meal. :rotfl:

Good luck all looking at laptop purchases.

I have a closer to fully stocked kitchen again!! I found a crockpot on clearance at Target :cool1:

http://www.hamiltonbeach.com/stay-or-go-slow-cookers-deluxe-stay-or-go-6-qt-slow-cooker.html

and Williams & Sonoma has the best customer service and return policy.:thumbsup2

my multi-chopper developed a huge crack in it's base...so I was just looking to see how much a replacement would cost (because it's been almost a year since I bought it, it broke before Christmas...I just kept forgetting about it). They replaced the whole thing no questions asked, no receipt needed!!

Tom love the dress and Leighanna is so darn cute. :)

I fear you are going to have problems when the boys come calling. ;)
