I gave her a benedryl before bed, which is the only time I would let her have that. Does the claritin make you drowsy? My allegra doen't seem to be doing much.

Princess takes Zyrtec. She does have to take it every day though, or her symptoms really come back.

wow--i see a resemblance as well!

That's pretty funny! :rotfl:

Congratulations on your milestone Terry.

While I'm thinking about it, I got the time off approved for August and October!

I'll be crashing your trip on the 2nd and 3rd Elin!

Yay for a milestone, Terry!!

Debbie, I am so pleased that we will get to see you and Richie again this year!

I think I managed to eliminate the pop-ups. The really aggravating thing was that the pop-up blocker, the anti-virus, and the spyware scan all failed to stop them! :headache:

DS got his extra credit projects done. His science report is pretty good. His poster is rather sparse and lacking flair, but it does have the required info and at this point ANY extra points are better than none. :sad2: There are 42 school days left. It sounds like FOREVER.

I fell asleep on the couch about 9 PM. About 10:30 I woke up, made DS got to bed (he was asleep in the chair), and I went to bed.

Arabella kept jumping up in the bed with her toys. DH encourages that, so she is VERY annoying. I finally gave up. I can't sleep with the cat pawing and pouncing all over the bed. Besides, it is hot in the bedroom so I wasn't all that comfortable.
That doesn't sound fun.

We are going through something now, and could use all your prayers for Angie. Hopefully it is nothing, and life will just go on.
:hug:Prayers for Angie. Hope everything is OK.

It was an absolutely gorgeous day here in Virginia. When I picked Kristin up from work she could tell I was very stressed out over my computer so suggested we make an afternoon of it. Here is what we did!

That looks good!

Bernadette- Hope you were able to get some sewing done.
Thank you! I got a few things done-I'll post photos soon.

Today was the first firefighter funeral that I went to. I was not sure what to expect, but it was a surreal experience. There was a 2 hour long mass in which the firefighters (including my dad) walked in together and sat together. It was absolutely heartbreaking when they closed the casket- Manny had 5 children. The FF’s brother in law did the eulogy and a firefighter did another speech. The bagpipes were played and the firefighter’s prayer was read, which was very hard for me to hear and I do not think there was a dry eye in the house. After the firefighters left the church, we followed them out. They put the casket on the back of a firetruck and had his helmet carried out. Hundreds and hundreds of fire fighters from other districts lined the streets and saluted the truck as it went by. The families of firefighters and firefighters were on buses that they chartered for today. As we followed the truck, there were firetrucks behind us as far as the eye could see. Someone later told me the procession was at least 2 miles long. They even had the ladders of two trucks up, creating an arch for the procession to go through. What amazed me was the support from the residents of the town. So many came out of their homes and businesses and just stood, some with their hands on their hearts, some crying, as we drove by. One man even ran out of his house, lowered his flag, and went back in. As we passed firehouses, the members were outside, standing at attention and saluting. Very touching. At the cemetery, the FFs were lined up at attention while bagpipes played amazing grace and taps—again ,not a dry eye was seen. It was so hard looking around and seeing “my firefighters” fighting back the tears..i just wanted to run up and hug them all, especially my dad.
When that was done,I could finally see my dad and just hug him---This entire situation has made me appreciate him even more and it was really hard for me that he had to work and couldn’t be with us for the viewing/funeral.
We had the luncheon at a firehouse and just sat with firefighters all day..after wards, we went out for a bit with some of the guys. I think it was like therapy for me to be with them. After I got home, I couldn’t stop crying…But its over and I appreciate your thoughts through all of this.
:sad1::hug:

Molly lost her first tooth!!!!!!!!!
:woohoo:Congrats to Molly! Emma hasn't lost any. I don't think Lizzy lost any in Kindergarten but Joe did.

Scoot over, Elin. I need to get in the "computer problem" boat. :headache:

DS was supposed to be doing research on global warming yesterday. BUT he got bored with that. So off he went to a Google search of game sites. He claims he didn't download anything, BUT my computer is now infected with pop-up ads that are not stopped by the pop-up blocker, the virus scan or the spyware program.

I found the file and uninstalled it. I ran a virus scan, and I am sweeping for spyware now.
I Googled the name of the thing and the number one result is how to try to get rid of it. The article on removing said "What you have now is a mess." Perfect.

I was already on the brink of strangling DS for his progress reports. Now this! :furious: He went to the grocery store with DH so I can sit here and attempt to fix the computer in peace. I am not happy with him.
:headache:

I was offered the promotion on Friday. We are still in negotiations. Since it will require me getting an apartment and paying my own travel expenses, there is a minimum that I need to cover those costs and not end up taking a loss. I know that my boss wants me enough to pay it but it has to be approved by other areas. I hesitated posting anything here because it isn't public info so hopefully I don't have a stalker from work that will read this and share with others. :lmao:

For those on Facebook, don't congratulate me or anything over there! I have work friends there that would see it.
:woohoo:Congratulations! Goodluck working out all the details!

We're having car troubles here, Friday we went to start the car and it was totally dead, so yesterday DH put in a new battery, I went to get groceries this morning and it squealed horribly all the way there, so it's now at the shop getting new belts.
Sorry to hear about the car troubles. Loved your photos! Looks like a fun day! Congrats on Aug & Oct!!!!

Congratulations, Molly!!! Did I tell you all that Terra lost her first two teeth in the past month. The funny part is that we have yet to actually see these teeth after they came out! The first time, it was there when she woke up and gone with in two hours. She just happened to realize it. Then last week she came in and said that her wiggly tooth wasn't as wiggly anymore. I thought that as odd as it was really loose. A few minutes later she says "wait, I think it's gone". The next tooth over is a little loose and that's what she was feeling. Once again, the lost tooth is just lost. She's getting a little frustrated not to have anything for the tooth fairy, but I just don't know what keeps happening to them. Swallowing, I guess? :confused3
:woohoo:Congrats to Terra!

so we had a yard sale yesterday to try to sale some of Virginia's and Ryan's clothes they had outgrown, Also to sale some of Virginia's things that she is to big for. like her walker, etc. I got a bit of a sunburn on my arms. But we made $67 for our WDW fund.
:banana:That is great!

Please explain to me why I was so excited for spring to get here. All it does is bring pollen and grass that needs to get mowed. I was out mowing yesterday and I think I gave myself a sinus infection with all the pollen blowing around.
Hope you can find some relief soon!

I fixed it myself! I did a system restore!!!!!
That is great!!!! I used to be somewhat tech savy (like 20 years ago.....). Everything seems so complicated now.

And with that!!!!

Congratulations!

Gary just told me it is snowing, yay  I do hope this is the last of it!
:scared1: Stay warm!

I think I managed to eliminate the pop-ups. The really aggravating thing was that the pop-up blocker, the anti-virus, and the spyware scan all failed to stop them! :headache:

Glad you got it fixed! Only 42 days?

And with that!!!!

:cool1::thumbsup2:woohoo::yay::dance3::banana:
Congrats

Glynis. I am sure you will get everything done by Easter!

:wizard:for Alan to feel better!

Not at all. It is a non-drowsy formula and you get it from the pharmacist. Kristin and I are very pleased with how we feel. It is for people 6 years and older... And only one a day!
they make a childrens claritin that is for ages 2-6 I give this to Olivia every now and then since she was 2
Congratulations on your milestone Terry.

While I'm thinking about it, I got the time off approved for August and October!

I'll be crashing your trip on the 2nd and 3rd Elin!

congrats on your future trips

Next May if you want to go to wdw around the end of the month Theresa and I would love to meet you;)

My latest projects. I actually did most of this last weekend.

I made Dorinda's DH Ralph a Walt & Mickey shirt. She's driving Joe & I to the airport in May at 6:30am on a Saturday so I couldn't say no when she asked for one for Ralph. He loves Walt!

I made Joe PJ's for AKL. I copied the giraffe off the pants to make the pattern for the T.

I finished up this shirt for Joe to wear on the Sunrise Safari yesterday. I haven't sewn on the buttons yet. I'm not sure I like those-I stole them off an old pair of DH's pants.

So I do my taxes this weekend so that is good.

I made Emma a smock for getting her hair cut. She's always pulling at the one the salon has so I made her one with a polar fleece neck band. I'm not sure she'll like that any better.

I also made her a tote for a stuffed Tramp I bought her on my trip with Lizzy. Disney sold totes for a "Tote a Tail" line they had but one was glittery pink and the other was denim lined in pink. Not exactly myEmma friendly.:rotfl: She loves the one I made her out of dog fabric. She hasn't put it down since I made it.

I got a lot done on another button down shirt for Joe. I need to do the collar and sleeves.

I still hope to make another button down with pink flamingo fabric for Halley to wear on the safari. Make Terry & I Mickey Head T's to match the kids safari shirts. Make myself a button down shirt and if I like it make another one to match the one I was making Joe today. Maybe make me a Walt & Mickey T with balloons for my birthday. Make Lizzy a dress for her American Girl Doll. Make Dorinda something she wants-little bags to put your shoes in when you travel.

So....all that sounds like a lot but it still sounds doable to me. I was told I have to get into the office earlier. I've been doing well at that so now I need to work on actually leaving on time. If I get home at a reasonable hour I can do a few things at night.

We get updates from Norwegian Cruise Line since our last cruise. They have a new ship coming out in 2010 and they will start booking next month sometime. Once my kids saw the ship photos they decided that we MUST book a cruise on that ship next year. I guess that we'll have to look into it when the bookings start.

Check out the aqua park. It looks like an amazing ship for families.

The Spa rooms are fantastic. :cool1:

Great job on the sewing Bernadette :thumbsup2

Good Morning.

Somehow I managed to get up an hour earlier than I had too :confused3 I swear the clock said 5:55, but after I showered and walked into the kitchen the clocks were all saying 5:02 :rotfl: My alarm self sets the time so I wonder if it went wonky on me. I haven't gone back in the bedroom to look. I totally considered taking and hour nap, but though I might feel worse when I had to get up again. I guess I'll take a nap after work today as I am dog tired now.

Bernadette the sewing projects look great :thumbsup2

Jen good luck getting everything done this week. It sounds like you're going to be a busy girl. :wizard:

Tia- Congrats to Terra on the 2 lost teeth! I'm sorry she has lost them again, though.

Good morning....its a rainy morning with lots of thunder! One of those days that is great to stay in bed and watch movies :)
off to work i go ! Have a great one

Great job on the sewing Bernadette :thumbsup2

Everything looks great! :thumbsup2

That's unfortunate. I wonder if the bus was one of the purple & white Disney buses or some other bus?

Must be the day for clock issues. Actually mine started yesterday. My clock missed the memo baout the change in daylight savings schedules. So I have to switch it to another time zone. Yesterday it was an hour fast because it decided to spring forward. I forgot about it until midnight when I went to bed. I couldn't see to fix it, so I spent an hour hitting "snooze" this morning. Stupid daylight savings time.

It's cold here again. It would be ever so lovely if it would warm up and stay that way.

Good morning, DDA!!!

Elin - Congrats on fixing your computer!

Elizabeth - I'm glad your computer is doing better as well. We have a similar problem after my cousins come to visit each time. Something Rachel and the two of them are doing online causes those popups, etc and it takes several virus scans to rid the problem completely.

Jen - Good luck getting the report cards done so that you can really enjoy th break.

Terry - Glad you got to spend time with your son.

Tammi - I hope you and Alyssa are both feeling better.

Debbie - Love your pictures! Looks like a fun day.

Deb - Sorry the boys didn't have their best games, but I hope they ended up scoring well over all in the end.

Bernadette - Love the new creations. I agree about the buttons though. Too bright, I think.

Thanks all for Terra's congrats. She was okay about not having her tooth the first time (actually, I think she was a little excited) because there is a Charlie and Lola episode where Lola misplaces her tooth by bedtime. Lola tries to dream happy things and grins really big so that the tooth fairy can see the missing tooth. That first night Terra pasted a big smile on her face. As she started to fall asleep her mouth would relax and she'd jolt awake to make the smile big again. It was so funny to watch! Even funnier was that the day after her 2nd tooth we substituted at PreK and they made tooth pillows. There was enough stuff for her to make it too and she was really excited. She showed my mom and said "Now if only I could find my tooth next time!"

Happy Opening Day!! With any luck, it might not be snowing at game time. Crazy weather!

I've got to go get the baby fed so that we'll be ready for dance this morning. After that, I've got to finish getting ready for our Girl Scout meeting today. Otherwise, it's game time. The Sox are actually broadcasting here today so I definitely can't miss that. Those chances are few and far between. I think Erin's going to the Cardinals game, but I can't say I'm too jealous of that. No way am I watching a baseball game in 35 degree weather. I'm happy enough at home.

Happy Monday everyone!

That is great!!!! I used to be somewhat tech savy (like 20 years ago.....). Everything seems so complicated now.

Kristin and I were just discussing this very thing yesterday! She said she remembered when people would come to us to ask for recommendations! :rotfl2:

I was worried about my sister, but she did well and likes to see the show each time she is there.

I hate spiders, am deathly afraid of them. I will never go to see Its tough to be a Bug again.
