Tom so good to see you, was just getting ready to ask where you were.

Janet good thoughts for Gary, hope you get the results quickly this time. :wizard: :wizard:

Jen, I am so sorry.

Tammi, :wizard:

Elizabeth, I hope that your ds is better soon!

Anne Marie, Yay! for the house closing.

Stephanie, enjoy your new home.

Tia, wow you are a very busy lady.

Janet, still thinking and praying for Gary.

I am off to work again. I just checked in to see if there was any news from anyone. I hope you all have good afternoons and I will see you tonight after rehearsal. :goodvibes

Thanks everyone!!!

Hooray!!!! Congratulations! That's a huge hurdle toward the move.

How's Katie doing, these days?
Better thanks!! I have chosen my battles & she has been more receptive to talking about the move. I took all 3 to get paint chips so they can pick out what color they want their rooms to be.

I am taking half a mental day today!! I am paying my aunt to come over at nap time and sit with the kids while I get out of here for a few hours. I need need some time to myself to do something for me. I am feeling a bit overwhelmed and stressed so I am hoping this helps. Nothing major, just need some "face time" with myself. Too many things pulling me in all sorts of directions which isn't going to end anytime soon.

Enjoy your day, DDA!

Sounds like a good idea! Have fun!

youve got it Tammi

GOod morning all..I signed online and got on facebok this morning and there is a message that our firefighter has passed away--Im waiting for "official" word, but I believe this may be the case. Even thought I was expecting it, I just cannot stop crying right now..i just want my dad home and i cant even call and tell him because its so early there (well 6, but hes trying to sleep in )
Plus my brother is gone and my mom is sleeping, so of course, i come here

I am so sorry, Jen. I know how hard iy must be for you all. :grouphug:

Tia, you wear me out! :)

The funny part is that I don't feel that busy or rushed most of the time. Every once in awhile, though, it catches up to me and I just have to rest. Or, as Robyn said she's doing today, take a break from it all and have some alone, quiet time.

Anne Marie - Congrats on the closing today! I'm glad that Katie is doing better. Terra was picking out her paint chips the other day for her giraffe room for whenever we move. She also told me she was picking out the chips for her next room after this house and when we move to California....apparently the child has plans. LOL!

I'm glad that things with Katie have settled a bit. Good idea, getting them involved in their new rooms. That's got to give them a feeling of some control.

Tia - I have a very strict "No more than 4" rule. With the exception of taking 6 boys to Great Wolf, I refuse to have more than 4 kids at a time. Of course DH was at Great Wolf to help. If I am the only adult then there are no more than 4 kids - ever - of any combination.

I made an interesting discovery today. A 15 oz. microwaveable soup cup is TWO servings. Right. Whatever. :sad2:

Terra's funny! Are you still house hunting?

Yes, I told her she could get a new bedroom set too (she has a babyish white one) so that is helping too. I know once she sees her new large closet that may be the happiest day of her life.

Enjoy your "me" time Robyn, hope you are able to relax a little

Thank you all for the good thoughts :goodvibes Gary had blood work done at the hospital then was given that yummy stuff to drink  When they did the scan he was injected with dye as well. Hopefully we will here something tomorrow!

Thanks everyoen for your kind words.
We just found out that the viewing will be Friday night and the funeral will be Saturday morning-He is going to have a full firefighter service as he died in the line of duty.
I am thinking about taking Friday off of work as I have a "family" day that I was planning on having to use for the funeral-So i think ill take Friday off and be available in case I am needed to help with anything and if not, ill just take a mental health day.

I talked to my principal today and she told me to take what I needed and offered to get me a sub today..So i think Friday will be it...

Thanks so much

Jen :grouphug:

It's good to hear that some of you are scheduling in some "me" time. I think we all crave that though it can be so hard to find the time.

I have read everything, but I feel pulled in a dozen different directions. We no longer have a computer at work as some people couldn't pull themselves away long enough to "work". Apparently the powers that be are finally figuring out that things are not running smoothly so "it is about to hit the fan". I've already been told that I have nothing to worry about and I don't even have to attend the inservice (which they are so conveniently holding from 7 - 9 PM on Sunday and again from 8 - 10 PM on Monday) Since I only agreed to morning and I work a second job evenings as well as taking care of my family they feel it will be okay to watch a video of the inservice later :cool1: I have tossed around going to one of them, but 1) if I can be available one night they will most certainly expect more and 2) I don't think I can bite my tongue over everything. If I'm not there I can't say anything that would get me in trouble :rolleyes1 Hunter is still complaining of tummy aches and he absolutely HATES school (I suspect that may be causing the tummy aches, but he insists that isn't the case). So in order for him to do his homework I need to sit with him and redirect him constantly. That has really cut into my laundry/housework/computer time and last night it cut into my bed time. This too shall pass, but I must be vigilant. On the bright side I am nearly functioning at 100%, Colby is right up there with me and Hunter just has the tummy ache. Chris is complaining less, but that could be because I told him he needs to see a doctor :confused3 The boys bowl in the state bowling tournament this weekend so we have a hotel booked for Saturday night, hopefully all will be well and we will have a nice getaway.

Deb,
glad to hear you all are starting to get better. Good luck to the boys this weekend.

I just read that Guiding Light has been cancelled. The last episode will be aired on September 18. That is one of the soaps that I used to have time to watch.
