Hey guys i know i havent updated you on the firefighter in awhile, but his family could use your prayers. Its almost been 2 months since the fire (feb 9). He was moved to a long term care place on March 12-still in a coma, no meaningful brain activity, etc. I just saw a message from one of the firefighters that his condition has taken a turn for the worse. There were no details posted, but I know his family (both real and firefighter) could use your prayers...
im sorry to be asking you guys about this topic again..My dad is out of town until tomorrow and i guess when i hear firefighter news, i just wish he was home, stupid i know!

Not stupid, at all! Of course I'll continue to pray for him. Thanks for the update! We sometimes forget the sacrifice that the firefighters make for all of us.

Congrats to Stephanie on the new house. I hope she has a great time getting settled.

Thanks for digging around for the information, Elin! I've been wondering about those sites, but didn't want to mess around with them.

Looks like we are on the road to good health, here. All the kids feel good, albeit with sniffles and coughs, but no more fevers! Everyone is going back to school tomorrow, which means that I get to do my Easter shopping! I did manage to get all the t-shirts sorted and washed so I can begin the iron on process.

My sister and I decided to do the swirl Mickey head shirts for all the grandkids, and then we'll take a picture of them somewhere in the park for my Dad for Christmas. Each kid is choosing their favorite color, and that's the color of paint we'll use for their shirt. I hope it turns out cute! I'll post pictures of the shirts as soon as they are done. We are also doing a matching shirt for everyone to wear on the first day. They were designed by Kellybell on the Disign thread, and I love them! I'll post pics of them, as well. I'm getting really excited about the trip! I know that it will be bittersweet, without mom, but we are just going to make the best time we can! We'll take a pic of the kids around mom and dad's brick, and eat her favorite snacks and ride her favorite rides.

Sorry I did not post an update last night, Thank you Chanon :goodvibes

We did hear from the Dr. & Gary will be going in for a contrast ct scan, they will call today to let us know when the appointment is. He has a cyst on his left kidney which they say is nothing to worry about & he has a mass on his right kidney. The right kidney is their concern & what they will be looking at more.

This isn't what we were wanting to hear. The mass may turn out to be nothing(hoping & praying), but we are both worried now. We are still at the not knowing stage & it is killing me. I don't think Gary slept at all last night :guilty:

So please keep those good thoughts coming his way.
:goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibesTons of good thoughts coming your way!!:love::love::love::love:

Deb, did you by asny chance burn any treated wood last month? Were any of the building materials for the furnace made in China? Or fiberglass filters? The reason I ask is I am sooooo sick right now. My sinuses are completley blocked, I can barely breathe and I feel like crap. I've been working in my former home's basement and it has stirred up all kinds of dust and crap and my sinuses are rebelling!!!:sick:

I know your entire family has been sick for a month. I'm trying to think outside the box and figure out if it is something in your enviorment that is causing your problem. Then I remembered that this is the first year for your new furnace and my mind went on a tear!!!:idea::idea::idea:

Hope you can figure out what in the world is causing your sinusitus. Mine is putting me down hard! I came home last night from a wonderful :rolleyes1:rolleyes1 day of packing and dragging and around old dusty boxes and stripped at the door, jumped in the shower and washed my hair for 30 minutes. BUt I knew then that I had inhaled too much dust. My ears started aching and it has been downhill ever since... Then I thought of you and your family. I had to post...:cloud9:

Thanks to all who have asked about me. I'm fine except for my sinuses, which are in really bad shape.

The move was a good move. I love my new home. We are settling in.

I didn't read anything in the thread. Terry told me about Gary:grouphug::grouphug: so I found Janet's post to quote.

So please don't feel as if I'm ignoring the rest of your posts...

Hang in there and I hope everyone who is sick gets better soon!:hippie:

Congratulations on your new home. I can't wait to hear about it, though the closets sound big enough for me to live in! I've been meaning to tell you as well, that I'm jealous of your and Terry's ticker. That is a cruise I'd LOVE to take!

Well, I survived my day. That's a feat with these kids. The 3 different ones are Kristi's best friend's kids and they are just crazy. The baby is hard to settle down as he wakes up every time his pacifier falls out. (Can I tell you I hate the Soothies pacifiers?) Plus, mom needs to bump him up an ounce or two at each feeding as he just isn't lasting as long as she'd like between bottles. (That part's not really her fault as dad hadn't told her he was still hungry after the bottle was gone - he's usually home with them.) The almost 4yo continually asks for food. If anyone gets anything to eat or even enters the kitchen, she's asking for something. Then the 2yo is just a red-headed tornado. She is into and on top of everything! Everything goes into her mouth; she climbed the railings, baby gate and onto the table; she walks over every toy/game/person/thing in her path; spills everything; etc. We spent alot of time in timeout today though that doesn't seem to phase her a bit. When their dad goes back to work I may have her several days a week and we will sooooo be working on those things if that's the case. She's even worse at home. One day it was an entire container of Ovaltine all over the kitchen, another it was a bottle of laundry detergent knocked off of the table and all over the floors and yet another it was Halloween "blood" on the carpet and hall walls. Alot of people think Chase is a handful, but she's got nothing on this girl (their a month apart). Whew!

It was actually a pretty good day though, apart from the one point when both babies woke up at the same time and were both wanting their bottles now, but then several of you know about that, eh?

Tomorrow we're getting all of the kids pictures taken together. Other than that, just having a quiet day. Hopefully I'll have a chance to catch up here a little more.

And now I'm in serious need of some sleep. Night all!

Stephanie - congrats on the new house!

I hope everyone starts to feel better today.

I can't get into it right now, but if you all could send some good thought/prayers/pixie dust my way, I certainly would appreciate it!

Ooohhh, I have dust mite allergies so I understand how working in the basement or even clearing a room and really reak havoc on the sinuses  Thank you for thinking of us. The furnace is outside so there are absolutely no fumes inside, we actually still get the heat from the baseboards just as before, the difference being that the heat warms the water in the baseboards rather than oil. We have not burned anything treated, just trees that we cut down ourselves. There are so many people around us with the same illness now, we know that it started as viral. There were 5 of us in the lifeguard room yesterday and 4 of us were just started on antibiotics all for sinus stuff. The kids school has had many kids with it too. We all seem to be better now though. Fingers crossed.
