Elin, that is Prince Caspian from the second Lion, Witch, Wardrobe movie.
Thank you , Heidi! That was my guess, but I was not certain.
Good morning.
I certainly haven't missed getting up at o'dark thirty.
My mom is coming to visit today. She has a neighbor whose mother lives one county down from ours. The neighbor is coming to visit her mother and asked my mom if she wanted to ride down with her. So I think she will be here until Monday.

(I have to be cryptic here because the DIS will *** it all out otherwise)
The privately maintained Polynesian site that Steve has done for the past 10 years is shutting down.
I know I will miss seeing the TIKI shots from that MAN.
I got a hold of Dana and we made plans to go to the concert. I am sure the tickets are in the nosebleed section but I am on
How can you pass up a free concert?!?!

's I sure hope your mom keeps her promise.
's and
Last night I endured 4 hours of camp training for Girl Scouts. I can't say I learned anything, the trainer was all over the place and instead of informing us she took us for a stroll down her memory lane. It would have been great but she was most interested in hearing herself talk. And I still have to survive a weekend camping trip next weekend. At least, I won't be alone, 2 of the other parents were there with me as well.
It's been a bit hectic around here. Lucy managed to "drink" some nail polish remover on Tuesday, not by best mommy moment by far!! Thank god, she is fine. Poison control said the worse thing to happen would be an upset tummy. She managed to escape with no harm.
Our dishwasher died Tuesday night, so Eric replaced that yesterday. All by himself and while watching the 3 girls plus Em's friend.
Molly is still not feeling 100%. She is pretty crabby and nasty, so it's been a joy dealing with her. And Lucy is coughing more and more and also very clingy and whiny. Emma has been able to escape all the sickies but I think she is feeling a bit neglected as her attitude is less than desirable.
And yesterday, on my way to training, I got an email from our GS council with an offer for free tickets to the New Kids on the Block concert. Tonight!!! So I quickly chatted with my 2 parents last night and we canceled our meeting for tonight. Being in charge has it advantages!I got a hold of Dana and we made plans to go to the concert. I am sure the tickets are in the nosebleed section but I am on
How can you pass up a free concert?!?!
for the concert, have a wonderful time!

I hope your trip is just awesome, Jen!![]()

Glynis nice pictures, Timothy is getting so big!
I have to ask, what is wrong with giving children cough syrup? Heck I remember the doctor always prescribing cough syrup for my sister and I when we were kids.
I feel like I have been shot in the eye with a poison dart.

On top of the coughing spells - which now both girls have in earnest - that have me concerned because it looks just like Elise's illness that led to pneumonia and are requiring daily breathing treatments, they both have the GI thing going around, too. At first it was not at all worrisome. Kids get gastro - diarrhea, vomiting. I know it's not the last I'll see it this badly!
) and see what she'll do with them, but she hates cold stuff so I'm not sure it will go over well.

My whopping 18 Photopass pictures. I hope the link works. It should as I had loaded them using Firefox and checked the link in IE.

Colby and Hunter were both up several times during the night and both had fevers as of 3:30 AM. When is this going to end? Chris is still feeling under the weather so he will be staying home with them. I feel better at the moment so I'm heading to work. We'll see how it goes. Nick is still sleeping, but he said last night that he needs to go to school as he doesn't want to get behind.
for everyone.for the concert, have a wonderful time!
How scary about Lucy drinking the nail polish, glad she is ok![]()
Sorry about the dishwasher, glad to hear Eric got the new one installed quickly!
Hope all the sickies leave soon![]()
Robyn - Yay for a concert!
I hope the girls are feeling better soon! Wow, out of the house 3 nights in a row this week. You are going to owe Eric big time.![]()
I have another whopping stye smack on top of the one that wasn't completely healed from the first "crop".I feel like I have been shot in the eye with a poison dart.
Princess has a play date today with a little friend whose caregiver speaks no English. It was suggested that we just drop her off, but there is NO WAY I would leave her with someone she can't understand! So we'll be in for an interesting morning. I'm sure the girls will have fun.![]()
He's not very happy and actually accused me of buying the tickets
But he'll get over it!! This is his camping weekend, after all. And I'm only ditching the girls Saturday night
for the girls and you. I know it's not easy and exhausting. You all certainly deserve a break. Just hang in there.
'sTMI alert!
Some of you know from facebook already, but we could still use some prayers this way, tooOn top of the coughing spells - which now both girls have in earnest - that have me concerned because it looks just like Elise's illness that led to pneumonia and are requiring daily breathing treatments, they both have the GI thing going around, too. Now, however, Avery isn't drinking either. She has, with no exaggeration, about 10 diarrhea diapers each day, many with "water loss stool" which is even worse. She empties her stomach 1-2 times each day (we're talking more vomit than I usually produce). All this, while taking in about 7-10 ounces of liquid for the last 3 days. We've done every liquid allowed (water, juice, pedialyte, formula, whole milk, mixtures of things) in every form we can think of (sippy cups, regular cups, syringes, bottles of course), and the best day we've had in a while is 11 ounces. She should probably be having 40 or more with all of her symptoms, more now that she's coughing, too.
We're going to try popsicles today (lucky 9-month old!) and see what she'll do with them, but she hates cold stuff so I'm not sure it will go over well.
She has been acting "well" for the most part, but is now starting to get lethargic which concerns me. My usual standard measure for dehydration (wet diapers) is almost impossible to keep track of because of the water loss stool (that looks the same, but is most certainly differentiated by smell!).
I feel so helpless, and am starting to get very concerned that she'll need replacement fluids. I don't want that for obvious reasons, but mostly because - as I felt when we were trying to keep Elise home from the hospital - I don't want to be away from whichever one is home!
This is getting old. We haven't been "well" since January, but I expect that from winter. It's the last 2 bouts (pneumonia and now this) that have our doctor calling US every day to make sure the girls don't need admitted that have me more stressed out
The lot of DDA kiddos needs a long break.
