I thought of you all when I read this...

11 PEOPLE ON A ROPE

Eleven people were hanging on a rope under a helicopter; 10 men and 1 woman. The rope was not strong enough to carry them all, so they decided that one had to leave, because otherwise they were all going to fall.

They weren't able to choose that person, until the woman gave a very touching speech. She said that she would voluntarily let go of the rope, because, as a woman, she was used to giving up everything for her husband and kids or for men in general, and was used to always making sacrifices with little in return.

As soon as she finished her speech, all the men started clapping ......

:teeth:

Good one :thumbsup2 :rotfl:

Cute jokes Becky lol

Tammi looks like the kids had a good time!

Becky did you decide which resort you will be staying at?

Well I thought I was staying at Pop. Had entered everything on the site entered CC information and submitted. I had then left right away for work. I never got a confirmation number, email or anything, so I called them and my reservation did not exist. So I can no longer do the 4/3 deal at any of the values. Unless something opens up. They did not offer that to me on the phone, I guess cause I had no record existing. :confused3

So I will probably end up at POR or CSR. As it is cheaper to stay there with that deal then to just stay at a Value, even without a ticket. As I could still stay at a value but not do the 4/3 special. But I might stay off site. With all the wackiness going on in my life I hadn't realized I had not gotten anything until recently. I am just not sure what I want to do now.

If I knew that my free Universal ticket was definitely arriving before I go I might just stay offsite. I still may stay off site even if I do not get it. Although I am really going through a life is short have fun, splurge mindset. But at the same time do not want to spend the money. So I may stay at one of the Mods. If so I will prolly stay at CSR. I have stayed at POR, as I was supposed to stay at CSR a bunch of years ago but ended up at Poly instead.

I plan on deciding by Sunday.

I am also probably giving Elizabeth a panic attack;) :lmao:

I hope you get it all figured out, maybe one of the values will open up :wizard:

Thank you for all the birthday wishes!!!! :goodvibes:goodvibes I appreciate ALL of them!!!

It has been an interesting day....remember I told you guys about Bill's obsession with the WDW soaps & shampoos....well, Bill uses the shampoo every day.

Christopher decided to use the shampoo and proceeded to drop the plastic cap down the bath tub drain. At the time, I didn't think this was a big deal....boy was I wrong!! Soon no water would go down the drain....I called my sewer guy....who is never phased by anything I say...and he says "ooooo, that's not good"

He came over within 30 minutes.....half hour into the job I hear, "Kristine, I need to talk to you for a minute"

"We need to saw a hole in your wall" :scared1::scared1:

Can you guess the Billster's reaction??? If you think weather makes him crazy...this about put him over the edge!!!

An hour and one hole later...the cap was removed!!!

I am so glad we're saving all this money on this free shampoo :rolleyes:

I may have to send him to soap stealers anonymous!!!!!!!!

There is never a dull moment at your house, is there, Kristine?!?!

I have another interview set up for Monday afternoon. This is for a blind ad that I sent in to so I have no clue what type of company this would be. Other than they have sent somebody from St. Louis to do the hiring. :rotfl:

Good luck with both the interview and that it's a place you'd want to be! :wizard:

So it is official! I have a new ticker in my signature! I am going to Florida March 19-23-I was able to take 2 personal days (I havent used any!) and I am leaving Thursday night and coming home Monday afternoon--I am SO excited!

Wooho!!! :cheer2:

Anne Marie- :wizard: that your bid is accepted!

Tammi- I hope you all had a fabulous time tonight.

My brain is mush and I can't remember much of what I read. :confused3 I've been on the run all day and just out of sorts.

Emma got her report card today, straight A's!! I am so thrilled for her, she was sweating bullets as she opened it in the van. She had decided after her 1st marking period report card that she was going to get straight A's up until 5th grade. I asked her why only 5th grade and she replied because that's when I'll be done with this school. I guess once she hits middle school, she'll become a slacker!:rotfl:

's and :wizard: all around.

Have a great night!!

Congrats to Emma!

Straight A's :cool1: :cool1:

What a fun night. First, Bob only worked a half day, and my kids had an early dismissal at 1:30. So he picked them up and hung out with them until I got home. I guess they were running around the back yard playing tag and he fell trying to keep up with Nicholas. The first thing he said to me when I got home was "what does a cracked rib feel like?" He left tonight to go to Snowshoe, WV with a buddy to ski for the weekend. I wonder how that is going to go.

So we took the kids to YCA and got them settled in. I think there were about 9 kids altogether. We watched through the window for awhile, then went next door to a coffee shop to chat and wait for our dinner. After about an hour we went back over and they were just finishing the meals. Then they still had to set the tables. When they were ready for us, they came out and escorted us to our table. They poured our drinks and served us our meal. Dinner included Basil Shrimp Fettucine, Bruschetta and Mini Cream Puffs with Strawberry Mousse. Everything was yummy and they really enjoyed it. Alyssa was a bit put off because she didn't get to do everything. With 9 kids they took turns with the cutting, adding, stirring, etc. I guess I should have prepared her for that ahead of time. But she wants to have her bday party there!

Dinner looked wonderful. Your little chefs did a great job. :wizard: That Bob isn't hurt too bad and that he doesn't hurt himself this weekend :wizard:

:wave2:

My night got turned a bit upsidedown. My boss called at 4:45 PM and asked me to hostess tonight as he needed to wash dishes due to 2 people calling in. Of course we had plans, but I agreed and in I went as we open at 5. I got there around 5:15 and made it clear that I was leaving by 8:30 at the latest. Chris and the boys were meeting me at the pool then. Work was crazy busy. Many people were celebrating Valentine's Day early. I managed the room well and the longest wait was 45 minutes, not too bad considering. I left there around 8:15 as things had slowed sufficiently and the second desk person had arrived so they were okay. I met Chris and the boys and we swam. Colby and Hunter took a little test so that they could use the competition pool. They each had to swim 100 yards in the 9 foot deep section. No problem for either of them. Now they can go out there and swim or dive off the diving blocks. I watched them a bit then swam my laps. I swam about 1/2 mile which was pretty good after working both jobs. Hunter swam over a mile while he was there. He had done half a mile before I got there. He is totally into it. Nick and Chris worked out and Chris swam a bit, but Nick opted to just watch :confused3 . The evening lifeguard was a sweatheart and while conversing with Chris found out that I would be working there soon. She had contact info for a lifeguarding course that is happening next weekend (I still don't know why I didn't get that info from the woman that hired me, but I'll deal with her next week). I've already emailed the coordinator in hopes of getting one of the 10 slots in the course. Registration started 1 1/2 weeks ago so I may very well be out of luck :sad2: We'll see. The lifeguard tonight was happy to hear that I wanted to open the pools as she is the closer and there is no opener now. That is good news for me. I will certainly follow up.

If I said that Red Robin was quieter than at home, does that tell you how noisy ten 12-13yos can be? Ai yi yi. Just the 20 mintues I was home was enough to give me a headache. We're back from dinner though and the girls have all gone and it is blessedly quiet. Now to just kick the headache.

Tomorrow, we may take Phil out to see some of the houses that I've liked. Actually, Terra too since most of those she hasn't seen yet either. There have been a lot of new things popping on the market in the last week so I'm a little hesitant to act too quickly, but at the same time there have also been more sales in the last couple of weeks. Who knows what the best route is? :confused3

Deb - Sounds like a pretty good night all around.

I am up early in hopes to get out of work a little earlier. We picked up Garretts tux last night & today I just need to pick up the flowers.

Winter had to remind us that it is still here as it snowed some last night. Hopefully there will be no more today. I feel bad for the girls tonight, they are going to freeze in their dresses/gowns.

I will be taking pictures & posting them for you all later. This is a very exciting day for us all!

No plans for Gary & myself tonight, I think we are staying home with Riley.

Elizabeth I was thinking when DS is old enough, he would probably like the Lunch with an Imagineer that WDW offers.

We did that in 2006 before they got so strict on kids attending. He was very well-behaved, but I don't think he LOVED just sitting and listening. He likes the tours because you move around the parks while you listen. :)

Robyn, Lucy does not seem to be very happy :rotfl:

Congratulations to Emma :cheer2:

Lucy's getting away! :rotfl2:
Yay for Emma!! :yay:

Sounds like a great night, Tammi. :goodvibes

I sure hope that Bob is OK!

Tammi - Cute pics!! I am glad the kids had a good time! I hope Bob isn't too sore. :wizard:

I hope you get it all figured out, maybe one of the values will open up :wizard:

Becky, I am sorry your Pop ressie got messed up. I hope you are able to work something out that you will enjoy and that won't be too expensive! :wizard:

I am supposed to babysit tomorrow afternoon (not for Princess), but I am just not up to it. I need to call this morning and cancel. Which I HATE to do, but since Monday is NOT a holiday for me and Princess is out of school I think it is best for me to cancel tomorrow.

Happy Valentine's Day, DDA!!

Robyn, Lucy does not seem to be very happy :rotfl:

Congratulations to Emma :cheer2:

I was going to say the very same things!! :rotfl:

Way to go, Emma!!!

Thanks!! I am pretty proud of her. She'll be excited to see all the congrats.

I sent out our Valentine card to everyone on Jen's google doc. There you'll see the lovely progression of Lucy's meltdown. She is not the cute little complacent girl she was just 2 months ago! She has developed quite the temper.

Tammi- Looks like everyone had a great time. I wish the closest one to us wasn't over an hour away. Hope Bob can enjoy his weekend.

Becky- I hope you go on your trip and have a fabulous time, no matter where you stay. Love the jokes!

Kristine- I so want to live in your house, never a dull moment!

Janet- Can't wait til we get to see pics of Garrett and his girl!

Debbie- Just a few more days!!
