DDA Chapter 18

This has been a whirlwind night. We went to the Mountain and I had promised Colby that he could go to the top of the Mountain twice. Chris and I decided the experience would be way more productive then his lesson so I pulled him from lessons and off to the top we went. The first run was not good. He fell alot, but he didn't get discouraged. He got to the bottom and wanted to get right back on the lift. Up we went again only this time he totally got it. He did an amazing job going down and went from falling 50 times to less than 10. We got to the bottom and SIL told him that she thought he was Hunter coming down. Man that made his day. He needed a potty break so DB asked me to take Logan up once. So off we went for his first trip to the top. He was just as nervous as Colby was on Sunday. He did a great job of staying upright though I'm not sure I'd call it snowboarding. He counted and he only fell 11 times so he counted it as a huge success. He now has that under his belt and this was his last time out this year. So all in all Snowboarding was a success this year and Chris and I decided that we need to get the boys to a Mountain at least one more time this year. Colby just getting it tonight needs to be reinforced if we have any hope in him retaining it until next year.

At home Colby had an unfortunate incident with the back of chair which resulted in him injuring 2 of his teeth. The teeth don't seem to be loose, but they are baby teeth so he will be losing them soon anyway. he does have a bit of injury to the gums above, but hopefully he won't have pain tomorrow. I numbed the area and we got him to sleep.

Chris and I are both hobbling through the house as all this exercise is causing some sore legs. My inner thighs are killing me. Of course all the snowplowing that I did on the mountain tonight added to it. Chris says that if the exercise doesn't make us look better it is likely to kill us My intent is to swim before work in the morning, but if I'm too sore I will probably hold off a day.

Hope he doesn't have any pain tomorrow. Joe chipped a tooth when he was about 1 1/2. I was afraid it would turn black but it never did.

Hope you aren't too sore in the morning.

Deb - Glad the snowboarding went well!
DS banged his teeth about 3 times when he was little, but they healed each time. The first time he tripped over the edge of the rug at work (knocked the tooth crooked in the socket), then he fell at school, then he tripped at my mom's house. This all happened in the months right around his 3rd birthday. His teeth stayed in there until he was 5 1/2.

I'm baking cookies tonight for all the Valentine's parties on Friday. Two jobs tomorrow so I won't have time to bake. I'm also watching American Idol. They've already eliminated one of my early favorites and they're about to eliminate another in a head to head (I like both of them )


Thanks for your support today. It helped alot. Somehow making myself accountable to all of you is keeping me on track.

I went to pick up Virginia out of the tub this morning and some how hurt my back. Ibuprofen has not touched the pain. I called into work for tomorrow and will go see the chriopractor at 0945

Woke to cold rain.

We had a quick bite in the room and headed for the busses to MGM. We waited a long time-about 20 minutes so we missed rope drop. I decided it would be better to ride Toy Story Mania standby rather than wait in line for the fast pass. We only waited about 10 minutes.

When we got out there was no line at the fast pass machines and we got a return time of 12:10. Buzz & Woody were already out even though it was only about 9:30 so we went to see them. I love the photo ops in the queue to see them.

We went over to the Animation courtyard but the gift shop wasn't open yet. We saw Pluto right at the door and then we got in line for the little show which we had never seen before. Lizzy really liked it. THen we saw Sorcerer Mickey. They had lots of characters in the building because of the rain so we saw Donald, Stitch, Minnie, Chip & Dale. AND Bolt. OMG....he is just the cutest character ever! Now I've got to see the movie.

Lizzy was getting hungry-she can't eat too much first thing in the morning so we went to ABC commissary but they weren't really serving breakfast because it was 10:30-they did have cinnamon rolls which was what she said she wanted before we went in but then decided on chicken nuggets. We also got hot chocolate as it was pretty raw out in the rain. Then we went to see Mike & Sully and then Lightning McQueen and Mator.

We went back to the Animation building to see the Incredibles and saw that Rhino was out with Bolt so we went to see him too.

While we were seeing Rhino Frozone came out so we saw him too. We went to ride Toy Story Mania and got another fast pass on our way for 5:10. We saw the Green Army Man when we got off the ride. Went to ride the Great Movie Ride. My kids really like this because their first ride on it was through the back door with Elizabeth.

We went to the 1pm show of Indiana Jones.

Went to the Muppets 3D

Deb-sounds like snowboarding was a grand time. Cassidy was about 6 when the girls were in a resting time and all I heard was chatter, so I went back in to their room and said "Cassidy stop talking over the side of your bed" I am walking down the hall and I hear "But I'm not talking over....." PLUNK, PLUNK. Cassidy had gone over the side of the top of her bunk bed into their play kitchen and the floor. Man, was her mouth a mess so she can empathize with Colby.

They suprised me, the welder and the roughneck both made it through. There was only one that they eliminated that shouldn't have been.

I made sugar cookies today, just because. They tasted yummy!!! and my girls appreciated it.

Oh that reminds me, I bought two rolls of Pillsbury sugar cookies at the store yesterday. They were on sale for .99 cents! Maybe I will bake those tomorrow for the boys(no making from scratch for me lol).

Oh, I didn't make them from scratch either Right after Christmas a pack of 4 sugar cookie mixes for $2.50. Just add butter and an egg and you get two dozen cookies.
