DDA Chapter 18

I wouldn't send any money in....I would, when you pick her up, give her time to pick out an outfit, if you want. *We've attended parties and seen plenty in action...the ones that are the worst are when some of the kids have their own money. It' a pain for the cashiers trying to get the parents checked out for the party total.

I am sorry Alyssa still isn't 100%

Amy - Princess's party allowed each child to spend a max of $25. Either a cheaper animal and an outfit, or an expensive animal with no accessories. BUT I think the host can chooses the price point, so if they chose $10 for their max then all she will get is a naked bear.

I like this idea. She will want an outfit for her bear, but it will be better for everyone if you do the paying.

Thanks for your input! I've actually arranged other transportation for Alyssa, so I will work this out with the other mom. :)

How many kids were at Princess' party, Elizabeth? I'm still working with Alyssa on narrowing down her guest list for her Webkinz party. It's still two months away, but I'm anxious to plan and shop! :teeth:

Boo, I almost hate you.

(We HONESTLY considered canceling our WDW trip for this concert. Instead, we (meaning I) spent about $500 to get tickets in Cleveland (and will have to spend more to get/stay there) as a surprise for Kyle. It's worth it, but the money (and travel) makes me want to vomit.)

I know you edited this...

Let it be known, Jennifer originally typed, "I hate you!"

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

And, since you hate me or almost hate me, I will share with you that this was a surprise Christmas present from Kevin's mom and we have floor seats. We've been joking about selling them on Ebay. :teeth:

I was worried you caught that. It sounded a bit harsh ;)

You could get a lot for them, but then you couldn't go at all. We tried to go about 5 years ago when they toured and knew it would sell out. We found out the minute they scheduled Cincinnati that it was during our trip, and about died. Kyle is still quasi-depressed about it

Our seats are probably almost as good, though a bit farther back I'm sure since we bought them later in the day than I had planned since I couldn't pull the trigger having to make a weekend of it. We're off a corner a bit, but it's always been a 360-degree stage so we should still have a great view.

I'm pretty sure I'm going to win Best Wife Ever award, maybe that will be some consolation when it's all said and done ;)

I knew you didn't mean it, and your impulsive typing made me giggle out loud. And that's a good thing, because my children are driving me a little bit crazy today. :)

I'm sure it will be a fantastic concert and it will be great to actually have a night out, but it's been fun to joke about pretending to go (his mom is babysitting) and blowing the money on something else. We're easily amused. :rotfl:

By the way, I am amazed with how mobile the girls are!!! I love the new pictures on your blog.

I'm sure you could come up with some good stuff! :)

As for the girls.... it's something. You've been there and I knew to expect it in my head, but boy does it throw a kink in a lot of things! :rotfl:

Amy - I think there were about 14 kids at her party. I lost track. :scared:
10 from school, 2 from play group, 2 from the neighborhood. Plus Princess.

Oh Robyn.....:rolleyes1

I know!!! They will be in Baltimore on the 19th. I would love to go, but my girlfriends won't even consider it. Stupid girls. :sad2: And then there's the whole fact that Jon is gay so really there is no need for me to go. My dreams of him and I running off together have been shattered. :rotfl2:

I guess it would be a very long tour schedule if concerts were only on weekends. :confused3

The Billy Joel/Elton John concert we're going to next month is on a Tuesday night.

Ok, I will say it. I hate you!!! ;) Eric and I had tickets to that I think it was in '98 or '99 and I had to work out of town. So he got to go and I didn't.

I am sorry Alyssa still isn't 100%

This is good advice and what most of Emma's friend's moms did when Emma had her party there.

Thanks for your input! I've actually arranged other transportation for Alyssa, so I will work this out with the other mom. :)

A Webkinz party sounds like a fun theme!! Mo wants Fancy Nancy. Which cracks me up since it going to be at Pump It Up.

Tom- :cool1: :cool1: So glad you all had a fabulous start to your trip!!

Bernadette- Love the trip report and pictures!!

Glynis- Ouch, I hope you can figure out what is wrong with your elbow.

Deb- I am sorry you are still feeling blech. Congrats to Hunter!!!:cheer2:

Theresa- Congrats to Abi!!!:cheer2:

Jennifer- Are the girls any better? :grouphug:

Deb-Congrats to Nick!!:cool1: :cool1: :cool1: Abi recieves her high honor award tomorrow (I am going to surprise her....she set a goal and achieved it quicker than she anticipated:cool1:) I signed her "progress" reports....such a waste of paper....and she has a 100.5% in one class and it's probably higher now....such a goober. :upsidedow

Marci-I hope Andrew's mouth feels better quickly:grouphug:

I am so sorry so many feel so icky still. Please don't pass it this way.

Congrats to Abi. So what is the big surprise?

Me being at the ceremony....for right now:rotfl2: She has never asked us to go because she figures we couldn't make it. My friend is going so I am making it there without telling her. Tomorrow night is quick supper night so maybe we will have pizza :scratchin

Morning, everyone. It's a beautiful, sunny day here. All in my house seem to be doing well, right now (knock on wood), so I'll take that! I have done something to my right elbow, and it is extremely painful. I noticed it about 4 days ago, but thought I might have strained it carrying the baby's car seat around a lot last week. However, it's gotten much worse, and the pain is radiating down my right arm. I can't pick things up without a lot of pain. I think I'll go to the doctor tomorrow and have him x-ray it to see what's up. As it is, I'll be missing bowling. There's no way I could even lift the ball, let alone roll it down the lane!

Bernadette - I'm loving the trip report and pictures. Keep 'em coming.

Tom - Hooray for pixie dust! Sounds like the beginning to a wonderful trip! Can't wait to hear and see more!

Deb - I'm so sorry you're still feeling icky. I'll continue to send pixie dust your way.

I'm off to ice my arm, and try to finish my library book so I can return it this afternoon.

Sorry Chanon, we don't have TGM :upsidedow

Elizabeth,
Are you looking at the possible 7 for 4 deal for early August. If they offer it on Monday I may move my trip up a week. I want to stay 2 weeks so I guess I'd have to make 2 reservations & hope they can keep us in the same room. Not sure if I would keep AS Suites, maybe switch to BC. I have to do some number crunching...I have a AAA rate room only right now.

No. We're on DVC points the whole time.
Good luck! pixiedust:

No Disney plans, sorry! I really like his .doc daily planner and I have a six day saved on my computer and I'm in the need of a 7 day for our March trip.

No TGM here, but DH told me yesterday that he is ready for a "getaway" in March, when will you be there?

Somebody on "Codes & Rates" got a PIN for free dining. Aug. 16-Oct. 1, free DDP or pay to upgrade to DxDDP.

Glynis - I hope your arm feels better soon! Kind of sounds like "nursemaid's elbow" that the kids get when someone pulls them by the arm.

Jennifer, if you have a Kmart near you they have a ton of Disney for infant girls, here are two outfits I picked up for Aubrey.

I want a PIN! I went to a Dis meet this weekend and it seemed like everyone there had received one except me.
