DDA Chapter 17

Mother Nature is being very cruel to us. It is 64 here now, which is a great thing. However, we are supposed to get a snowstorm on Tuesday, with a high only of 31.

I am on my way to Lansing for the week. Probably won't be back on until at least tomorrow night. Have a great Super Bowl Sunday everyone!

Safe travels, Vicki!

Hey! That sounds like our weather! ;)

Happy Sunday, everyone. Sounds like you are all gearing up for the game. We are not big football watchers here (unless our university team is playing), so I don't think we'll be watching the superbowl. I know blasphemy! Anyway, I've got dinner in the crock pot, Brown Sugar Chicken. It's from the crockpot blog. I hope it's good.

After dinner, we're going to watch Finding Nemo while we eat our dessert. I have a sugar free angel food cake. I'm splitting it in half, spreading one half with lemon curd, then putting the top half back on. I'll thin some seedless blackberry jam with some water, mix half of that with Sugar Free Cool Whip, and spread that over the top and sides of the cake. Last, I'll drizzle the whole thing with the rest of the blackberry jam. Yum! I'm craving sweet, can ya tell?

Timothy still has a nasty cold, but I'm happy to say it hasn't gotten any worse. I can feel myself getting the same cold. My throat is scratchy and a little sore, and my nose is running. Oh well. I'll survive!

Both sound yummy. Enjoy the movie.

We also don't get into the Super Bowl (or any football....unless it's LHS playing) as a game but we enjoy the day for watching commercials, eating silly food and rooting for the underdog.

I'm glad his dunlop is done gone! And I know he can do it! :thumbsup2 His dinner sounds great. WTG, Deb!

His dinner does sound great....I gottas ask though what's a dunlop??

We are making chili with ground turkey and some "Jenny Craig" brownies with Neufchatel Cheese instead of Cream Cheese.

That sounds yummy. Congrats on your weight loss.:goodvibes We are having a variety of veggies, homemade guac (OH MY...the best I have ever made) chips, dips and chicken on the grill. Healthier than usual...but could be better.

It's when your belly don lopped over your pants... :rotfl:

Your meal sounds good too!

Glynis - I hope you and Timothy feel better soon. Your dinner and dessert sound delicious! Enjoy your family night. :goodvibes

I cannot stand this Broadway showtune version of the National Anthem!

Daniel is arguing :mic: that he wants to stay up & watch the whole Superbowl. He gets up ay 6am so I said no...Of those of you who have kids his age or so (he's 9) how long are you letting them stay up? Should I let him stay up????:confused3

So even though i raelly dont care who wins--- i really think the Steelers are going to win--but im pulling for cardinals...Just because if the steelers win, they will have 6 rings--cowboys have 5!

What is his usual bedtime??? That is one good thing about being in the Mountain time zone....the game is done by bedtime. I would say "Let's see what time it is at the end of the first half. We will make a decision then"
