DDA Chapter 17

Don't know if I want to color or do my new latch hook? decisions, decisions. :scratchin :confused3

Is it time to go to Disneyworld yet???:hyper:

I wish!!!

I did make a reservation the other day though. Probably won't keep it, but we'll see. I had a 40% room only pin code good for dates throughout the year. I've made a reservation for Dec for now. Terra would like to go for her birthday next year so I'll keep an eye out for early 2010 codes and deals as the year goes on. If something comes up, we'll move to Feb. If nothing ever does, we'll see if we can do Dec and try for her birthday week another year.

Alan did a series of commercials for the mattress company, and because the economy is so bad right now, they agreed to pay us half of what they owe us in cash, and then the rest is the new bed, pillows, a set of sheets and a bed frame! I'm ok with that, since we really needed a new bed! I can't wait to try it out. I think Timothy and I are headed in for a nap this afternoon!

sounds like a case of PERFECT bartering!!

Then I could spend time with the kids, well at least Hunter and Colby. Of course I love to play board games so that may intrest the older kids.
I'm sure that none of us would pass up cleaning help :wave2:

The flakiness around here never ends, but we haven't had new snow yet today. :rotfl: The trip to Albany yesterday was so much easier than last Sunday.

We haven't had snow yet this year! According to one of our local weathermen we are down almost 8 inches from a normal year. Come ON, Mother Nature!

We're down on precipitation this year, too, though we've had enough snow for me. We are way below average temps right now. Brrrrr!

And then DS and I can have a big bowl of plain vanilla ice cream, yum. BTW tell him I now have just plain vanilla if he would like to visit. Plus there is plenty of snow for him to play in, with more to come.

He would SO take you up on that! I only bought the little single-serve ice cream yesterday. Last night he was mad that there wasn't any ice cream for his dessert.
He would probably like snow.

Not too far off for me either. :cheer2:

Yay! :cheer2: Lots of DDA trips are approaching!

Would you care to finish the latch hook I started when DS was a baby? I was going to have it finished by his first birthday. Now his 13th birthday is on Friday and it still isn't finished! :rotfl2:

Hello DDA

I thought by sleeping Friday off and on that evening for six hours and then going to bed, I was feeling better on Saturday. I really took it easy that evening for the party and we came home and I went to bed. Well, Sunday I woke up feeling bad again. I kept burping and wondered when it would really hit me. I was up three times during the night. I went back to bed this morning, got sick at ten and just got up a little while ago. Now I am trying to eat crackers and drink hot tea.

I was supposed to have supper for Stevie and his girlfriend before they leave tonight for Florida, but Hal is going to get a pizza instead.

We are supposed to get snow starting either late tonight or tomorrow. I hope their drive down will be free of any type of bad weather.

It seems that a lot of us still need a few more doses of pixiedust: pixiedust: and :grouphug: :grouphug:

Those going on trips, have the best time ever.

I loving having a countdown ticker on my phone, it keeps me sane.

Last night on Extreme Home Makeover the family went on a Disney cruise. They got married on Castaway Cay and had their reception in Palo. I am so, so very ready to go back. That cruise was the very best.

Have a good rest of the day DDA

Time for teaching! See you all tonight. Enjoy yourselves. :goodvibes

Would you come out here and do my tubs???

Actually, we spent the weekend doing a whole bunch of deep cleaning. Alan and I got a new bed, and since it was going to be delivered today, we took the weekend to deep clean our bedroom. Ick! I don't think I've really deep cleaned in there since we moved in. I've done surface cleaning, but not scrubbing baseboards, windows and walls. Definitely that is something that should be done more than once every 6 years!

the good news is that our new bed is in and is gorgeous! Alan did a series of commercials for the mattress company, and because the economy is so bad right now, they agreed to pay us half of what they owe us in cash, and then the rest is the new bed, pillows, a set of sheets and a bed frame! That is the kind of bartering I like!!!

We think so! We really needed a new bed, so I'm happy with it. The rest of the money will go to paying down the credit card debt. Our plan is to have all our credit card debt paid off by summer. It looked like that might not happen, but we just found out that Alan's biggest freelance client has not cut their budget for Alan, so he'll be getting the same amount as he always has. Woohoo! That makes me so happy. Once we get the credit card debt out of our hair, the only debt we'll have is for our house. Somehow, it feels so freeing to be so close to no debt!

:cheer2: Yay! The books are done (other than the cover which won't take long)! :cheer2:

This really shouldn't have taken me so long to knock out...

I really hope that you feel better soon!

Deb if the cat has phlegm, then it sounds like he may have gotten your sickies.

I didn't have any phlegm? :confused3 I had congestion, but it never manifested into anything.

Then I could spend time with the kids, well at least Hunter and Colby. Of course I love to play board games so that may intrest the older kids.

How are you at Guitar Hero or Rock Band? They are looking for a singer ;)

I think you and I might have the same bug. I felt much better Saturday until the evening when I got terrible gas. Sunday Morning I felt fabulous for a couple of hours then the weakness and spaghetti legs kicked in. I had no appetite. This morning had me feeling weak with various aches and pains. After a long rest I feel great again. I'm hoping to get a bunch of housework done now. My bedding is in the washer and I'm about to deep clean the germs out of there. Enough is enough.

I'm also waiting for my baby to get home on the bus from his first full day at school :upsidedow
