DDA Chapter 17

Can one of you obsessive planners explain to me why I am so hesitant to make plans for this summer. I always have our summers planned out years in advance. heck I can tell you our plans for 2010, 2011 and 2012, but I'm not comfortable committing to THIS summer :confused3 Chris is right there with me. Nothing has struck us as a must do.

Part of it is the financial side, but another part I "think" is that I expect to see some incredible vacation deals popping up. If I committ and put money down on something then I wouldn't be able to jump if an unbelievable offer arises. Does that make sense. Is is okay to not make summer plans :confused3

Well, whatever I had on Thursday and Friday has not completely gone away. Last night I had a really upset stomach, but blamed it on eating out and having non weight watcher approved food. Today I felt great in the morning though I had no appitite. As the day progressed I got spaghetti legs and overall shakiness. This is not good as I have a private party that I'm waiting on tonight. Hopefully tylenol will do the trick.

Is anyone else waiting for W-2s to arrive. We would love to get our taxes out of the way, but we're still waiting. I'd like to make sure we are getting a refund and see what that refund might be.

Here are some pictures from yesterday.

These pictures are all from my cellphone thus the less than desirable quality

They were still terrific, Deb. Thanks for posting them for us to share!

I understand completely, Deb. We know we will try to go visit Kathrin in Boston this summer but I will not commit to reservations yet either. I think there will be some good deals and besides, I don't want to spend the money yet. You can make many different plans (how fun!) and then when you are ready you can put one out as "done!"

I have mine but we don't have Bob's yet.

Feel better!

Jen you must be going crazy with no football today.

The three of us looked at each other as we were fixing lunch and simultaneously said, "No football today!" :(

But NEXT week!! :yay:

Jen you must be going crazy with no football today.

I hate it..my mom told me today that my post football depression will soon begin.
Its just not the same without football!

I spent some time today on the dallascowboys website checking out the new s tadium..and wehre are seats are..and all that fun stuff

Does anyone here know if Sherpa lining is the same as wool?

I am freaking out :scared: Craig went from not wanting to go to WDW to now wanting to go in March! :scared1: We're already in the 90 day window, it's too close for my planning. LOL We need to wait for our tax return so we won't be able to book till we get that back, so that will put us about 4-5 weeks out from the actual vacation. :scared1:
Fun! An almost spur of the moment trip!

okay prayers needed for a co-workers children and grand children as a co-worker passed away yesterday and one of her kids found her in her bed. It was an emotional ending to a stressful day yesterday at work.

I have gotten two documents for my taxes but no W-2's yet. I will probably not be able to do my taxes until almost the end of the time frame. As I always have some documents that straggle in.

We only have one for sure trip so far, and that is WDW in August. I could book air at around $220 pp, but I'm hoping the extend some cruise deals, like the kids sail free deal. If that happens I would cut our WDW trip short and add on a cruise. So until I find out if anything is happening, I'm not booking my air, as the dates could change around.

Bob wants to do short, adult only trip, but I have no idea where to go that I wouldn't be wishing the kids were with me. Maybe Vegas? :confused3

Again, thanks for the compliments on the photo, everyone! :goodvibes

Kelli - You have plenty of time to plan! Are TS restaurants important to you all or would CS do just fine?

Not overly important, but still want to do some.

I'm just freaking out because now I can't get anything set in stone for another couple weeks when we can actually pay for it. I'm just being a big worrywort ::yes::

I actually think it has something to do with if your Mother sewed. I was fortunate to have a Mom & 3 older sisters to teach me and good teachers. I also think boys are harder to sew for-at least a button up, collared shirt can be intimidating.

My mother taught me to sew and I made some pretty nice stuff when I was younger. However, I don't have the patience for it. Mom still sews quite a bit. She has made all kinds of things for me and the girls over the years. I wish that I had her patience for it.
