DDA Chapter 17

Theresa - Congrats to your girls on their grades! :thumbsup2 DS won't get his actual report card until next Tuesday, so at that point we will know his 3rd marking period grades, his semester averages, etc.

Elin, I used the Musinex DM too. It really does make the cold end a lot quicker.

Darn you!

ETA: Kyle isn't happy with you either, lady!

I had no idea there was a "rule" that said you couldn't use the same spot we did. Besides, I was dealing with a baby who still doesn't know how to sit up, unlike your two prodigies! :teeth:

They're hardly prodigies! :rotfl:

There is no rule, just our own stupidity :upsidedow

okay I am overwhelmed trying to figure out the Disneyland stuff. Tia or Glynis want to give me some ideas. Not sure if we will go but it would be nice. I am thinking between Dec. 1st and the 17th as that is when the 30% off is valid. Which Hotel and how many days?

Have Glynis send you her Disneyland info. It was very helpful, although we literally threw everything out the window given the fact I had a broken foot. We also had a super whirlwind trip, as we were only there 2 days.

We took Glynis' advice and stayed off site at the Park Vue Inn. You could literally walk to the park without an issue. There really is not much reason to stay on site at Disneyland as it is small and compact.

We actually called Park Vue 2-3 times after our initial time as the price kept dropping and they kept lowering the price for us. They also accommodated our last minute request for a handicap accessible room. Every time we talked to them they were super nice and helpful.

Although our experience staying there was spectacular, they totally went above and beyond to help my Mom deal with all the last minute changes with my Dad's medical issues. We called that morning, they were able to provide a room, for that day as they needed a place to stay so they could fly out the next day. They left my parents stay in the current room, until they could clean the room that my parents would be moving into. Then they helped my parents move their stuff into the new room. The hotel staff also helped my Mom secure transportation back to the LAX airport.

The hotel offers a free continental breakfast. It is nothing fancy but enough to start the day. It is upstairs and you can see the fireworks from this outside balcony. You can also see the Matterhorn and some other attractions from the hotel. They have a pool as well.

Oh my gosh, that has to be a photopass record for the length of your trip! I can see taking that many (at least) with your own digital camera, but did they just snap away like crazy?! Or were you always stopping?!

You have to remember, we're addicted to the characters...so yes, they snapped away like crazy. And, with our kiddos, we know it's hard to get them all to cooperate at the same time, so we made several visits to all the usual places.

I just sent you an invitation to view my photos to your yahoo email. Maybe you can figure out a way to share here, too?

You are silly! That reminds me of my BIL who refuses to order the same thing as anyone else at a restaurant. :teeth:

And yes, compared to my lazy baby, who suffers with a mama who is too busy to feed him solids, your girls are amazing!

thanks Becky, i had never really thought about going their before seeing Tia's pics and getting the PIN

Was it super gloomy or just foggy one day?! I can't believe it (around 115).... you can hardly see the castle! I hope most of your days were sunny! :goodvibes:

Anyone excited for Lost? :teeth:

ME!!!!!! I'm watching it.

Elin -- I'm so sorry you are sick. That's terrific that Mucinex is helping.

Theresa -- congrats to the girls on their grades!

Elizabeth -- sounds like DS did well with his grades as well.

Welcome home, Amy. I can't see the pics... I've been in my photopass account, and even though I clear cookies I still can't see yours. I'm sure they are cute, though.

Sending PD to all those who are under the weather -- Robyn, Becky, Jen, Leslie and anyone else. I don't feel any worse, so that's a good thing. Our water will most likely not be on in the morning because this stupid town couldn't get the repairs done last night. So, I went ahead and took a hot shower and washed my hair so that I'll look a little more presentable at work tomorrow when they don't finish the repairs on time AGAIN... I'm not bitter or anything...:rotfl2:

Amy, 298 has to be the cutest picture ever! (Noah's face is priceless with that big ol' kiss on his forehead!) He's getting so big! :lovestruc

ETA: And how are you so photogenic?

That was fog, and there is also a crane over the castle, because they were taking down the Christmas lights. Of course, that was the morning of our 8 a.m. ADR at Crystal Palace. Boo! :)

That stupid crane was around all week and they were also repainting the hat at the Studios, so we had to deal with a crane there, too! Luckily, we had a nice, long trip, so we got some pictures without the annoyances!

Well, apparently, we aren't going to watch Lost, because our DVR failed to record the first hour. Grrrr...
