Did I mention that I would probably start that job at 5 AM You all know that I am NOT a morning person. I am definitely ready for a life change though early mornings and exercise might be the best thing that could happen. I might actually get to bed before midnight

Thank you for all the comments on the weight loss, the house, & Daniel.
Thankfully the Dr. said that Daniel's heart is fine! He had an EKG & an Echo & all is good. The Cardiologist said that this type of pain on the left side is common in kids & that is growing pains & also by pinched nerves. Either way he is healthy.


We just got in from grocery shopping. It was nice to have 3 other sets of (little) hands to help me in with the bags.

Yay for 45 days! I cannot even begin to tell you how much cr@p I brought when my kids were babies. Daniel was on a special formula & I couldn't take the chance of finding it in Orlando so I brought 40 individual cans of formula & 80 jars of baby food when he was 6 months old. (& we flew!) Brought his car seat too.
When we went in 2002 Sophie & Daniel were both in diapers & remember packages & packages of diapers all over the car.

It was great meeting you this morning. I definitely want to hire you for both lifeguarding and swim instruction. Right now we need to get you certified if you want to look at the Red Cross course offerings that would be the quickest way. Because you have not been certified in a while you would need to take the whole course. We will be offering it but not until end of March.

I guess I'd better make some phone calls.

It is snowing here again. It is supposed to snow like everyday for the next couple of days, but never a lot of snow. I would much rather have one big snowstorm.

We've never not had a car, other than my solo trip last year (and only because I was too young to rent one). I can't stand doing things on someone else's time table!



We've never seen them in person, but - if they work well - they seem super cool!

You should have been able to rent a car, even if you were under 25. You just would have needed to pay more. That was our huge concern with the wackiness at the last minute to go to California. As I could not drive, who would rent someone with a broken foot a car? My brother was only 24 during that trip. We had to pay a bit more money each day since he was under 25, but were able to rent without an issue.

As long as you are not renting a full size van or large SUV you should have been able to rent. In CA there were several people under 25 renting cars, well they were trying to rent full size vans and they would not let them. But would rent them other vehicles.

Lindsay - Just got off the phone with your realtor. What a nice man!! He was very helpful! He does suggest that we go ahead and finish out the loan pre-approval and get the letter stating that we have financing. I will have to get DH to gather up the documents we need. His pay stubs and 401K statements and all that are all trapped in the Frito Lay employee website which is nearly impossible to access from home.

DH went and sold his hunting rifles. He made more than DOUBLE the amount he needed for the camera! Who knew? Anyway, banks are closed today so he can't deposit his profits. He is disappointed.

DS wanted to go to Half Price Books. I told him he could take my 2007 & 2008 UGs and he could keep whatever money he got for them. DH just called and said DS got $1.50 TOTAL! What a rip off! Oh, well. I wanted to get rid of them because they were adding to the clutter. At least they are out of the way now!

DH took some of the Christmas stuff to the storage unit. Not sure if he managed to get all of it or not. The stack of boxes in the hall was pretty big.

Several people from the play group have said their kids have school Wed. AM so my hopes are fading. Looks like we will end up with Wed. even LATER in the day, which is a pain in the butt.
