DDA Chapter 17

Sunday -- Epcot

The next morning, we met our guide at 7:45 for our trip to Epcot. Our guide’s name was Aaron, and he was terrific, though I still miss Cayman. Andrew and Jake really bonded with him, though it took a day or so before they would ask him questions directly, without asking me for the answer first. I think they finally got tired of me telling them I didn’t know the answer, and to ask Aaron. We headed in to the park and rode Soarin’ in the front row. Amazing – this is my favorite ride! Here we are while waiting in the video area. (Denise – we always get tons of compliments on these shirts.)

We then proceeded to do most all of Future World (except Crush – they were having technical difficulties). Because Jake loves The Land and Garden Grill, we had to move that to dinner as they no longer serve lunch, so we headed to LeCellier for lunch. A lot of people think this place is overrated, but we’ve always had great service and good food. Randy adores the pretzel bread (as do the boys) and we like the soup and filet. I only ate about half of my food as I’m not used to eating a heavy lunch. We ended up going through most of the World Showcase, then re-rode some of Future World rides. We left Aaron in the afternoon and did some shopping at MouseGear. That’s my favorite gift shop.

We headed out on the monorail back over to the GF. (Yes—that’s a skort I have on, so no undies shot!)

I made a run to Walgreens, as my curling iron had broken, plus we wanted to pick up some Airborne and other misc toiletries, then went back to the hotel. We then monorailed back over to Epcot to eat at Garden Grill. The food is decent, and the character interaction is excellent. This was our first trip without autograph books, and I have to admit I don’t miss the stress/trouble. It was nice to relax and get pics with the characters.

In the front of the monorail again…

Here we are chatting with my good friend, one of the concierge staff at the GF-- Joe.

Marci, great report thus far. The sushi dessert is too cute!

Chanon, check your email

Well I get to venture out to go grocery shopping after work tonight. This should be fun. My car hates me when I start it, drive .2 miles and turn it off - since the store is right across the street. Hopefully Bob will be home by the time I am so he can help me unload!

Marci, so many cute pics! :)

I think this house thing is going to get out of control. I was Googling earlier today and found this really nice house very close to the one we looked at Wednesday. But this one is bigger and has more updates to the interior. It is listed as sale or lease. So I phoned the agent and she really thought I should look into qualifying for a mortgage. Hmm.

I called a mortgage guy just for fun. Gave him our info, he ran our credit, and now he is running us through some sort of mortgage calculator to see what comes up. The magic formula says we are "readily approvable". :faint: We just need to provide some supporting documents. Huh. Who knew? I wonder if this means we are actually going to buy a house?

Marci I'm loving your report, It is so nice to read on such a cold day. I also want to tell you that you are such a pretty lady and you have the picture perfect family :goodvibes

I'm off to work. I really just want to hunker down in my warm house, but that won't pay the bill.

You know its cold when a window shatters from it!:faint:

Thankfully just the outside pane shattered, at least the inside pane is still o.k.

Now another thing I need to get scheduled before our trip!

Elizabeth that is exciting and scary at the same time. :wizard:pixiedust:

so I am trying to figure out what hotel to stay at when we go to the baseball game this summer. We are going to do six flags as well and probably one of the zoo's. Marci, Lindsay or Elizabeth any suggestions.

How exciting! Good luck deciding what route is best for your family, and then moving forward (or not) from there! :wizard:

Yikes!

Jennifer glad to hear Cassi passed her driver test!

Glynis congratulations to Katie :cheer2:

Theresa I hope the job works out for you :wizard:

Thanks, Janet. And I ditto your statement to Theresa!

:woohoo: Congrats to Katie. Is she too old for American Girl Doll books? The 2009 doll of the year confronts some bullies. I bought Lizzy the DVD but we haven't watched it yet. I'll let you know how it is.

She doesn't think she's too old for any kind of book! Let me know how the DVD is, and I'll look around for the book. Thanks. She can generally figure out what she should do if she has an example. This might help her a lot!

so I am trying to figure out what hotel to stay at when we go to the baseball game this summer. We are going to do six flags as well and probably one of the zoo's. Marci, Lindsay or Elizabeth any suggestions.

Sorry - I am not familiar with anything in that area. :confused3

Well, a little Googling of houses for SALE vs. houses for LEASE has failed to produce any results I am excited about. Basically the house I saw earlier (the one for lease or sale) is the best thing out there! The problem is that the realtor said there is a LOT of interest in that house so we would have to act on it now as opposed to later. Breaking our lease sets us back $1000, and that's $1000 that would be better spent as part of a down payment instead of a penalty. So maybe we won't be buying a house. I did phone a realtor that some of the moms from the school suggested, so we'll see what she has to say.

Marci-loving the report

Elizabeth-what a scarily exciting thing!:thumbsup2
