DDA Chapter 17

Tammi I hope you all enjoy ice skating & come home with no broken bones pixiedust:

Deb I hope tonight is much busier than you think!

Tom the dress is so cute :thumbsup2

It's great as usual, Tom! I am always so impressed!

Terri, my decision to root for the Eagles last week isn't an ongoing thing, just so you know ... ;) Go Cardinals!

(I can''t believe there are only two football days left! )

:lmao: :lmao:

I was watching the game and it was not looking so good, so I started making Tacos and they got two touchdowns in three minutes. Opps gotta go back into the kitchen!!!!!

Our Christmas tree is back in storage. All of the ornaments are packed away, half here, half in storage because if something happens to half of my collection I will still have the other half. The decorations are packed away and the bin is waiting to go to the storage unit. DH says he is done for the day, so now the hallway is full of stuff waiting to go to storage. He is off Tuesday and Wednesday so hopefully he will take the stuff then.

I still have a couple of loads of laundry to do and I need to vacuum up all the needles from the tree. I think our fake tree dropped as many needles as a real tree. :sad2:

DH was lamenting that he forgot to buy soda at the store, but then he remembered that he never bothered to bring in the soda I bought last week. I forgot it was still in the trunk. I guess I am lucky the cans didn't explode in the cold. :scared:

Has anyone on here tried the stretchable iron-on transfers? I am considering some for the Princess Half Marathon but don't want to spend $30 or more for the wicking material and then ruin it with an iron on transfer.

The Inauguration Celebration is being rebroadcast for free on HBO. Now (7EST and 11:00 EST) It is amazing. Just saw Bruce Springsteen.

Bernadette - I hope Lizzy feels better soon! pixiedust:
Thanks! She's still moaning in my bed. I know she doesn't feel well but she's not that sick. She hasn't been sick since 5:30 this morning but she hasn't eaten much-a couple of crackers and some apple sauce. Hopefully she'll be able to eat a bit more tomorrow so she can go to school on Tuesday.

We are off to go ice skating. I hope no one breaks anything.
Hope you had fun!

One more outfit done for our trip.
I think Leighanna will wear this to the Cape May breakfast at the Beach Club. I thought the quilted hem detail kind of gave it a nautical look.

No model today, she is too busy playing with her Mickey Mouse Clubhouse stuff to give me the time of day!:rotfl:
Stunning! Perfect for Cape May!

You got more done than me. I still have to pack the Christmas stuff. I did make Lizzy a T with an applique Mickey head in a floral fabric for our arrival at the Polynesian. I also made Halley a Minnie Mouse dress for her American Girl doll. I still need to finish Halley's skort. I may try to make Lizzy some Pooh PJ's and a fleece top. The long range forecast was showing
warmer days for our trip but now it is highs in the lows 60's and lows in the 40's. Looks like I have to pack lots of warm stuff.

I have not tried them on a wicking material, I think that is what I got when I made my last set of shirts. They worked well but it was a 50/50 shirt or some other combo with cotton, poly, nylon and spandex, etc.

If you want to try them on wicking material, maybe get a cheap wicking shirt at Walmart/Target, etc. If it works then try it on the more expensive version if not do not ruin the good tech shirt.

My concern with putting the transfer on the tech shirt, is that it will prevent that section of shirt from wicking. Also I am not sure how that material will iron. Hence getting a cheaper shirt to try out and wear to see how it works before using the more expensive version.

Please let me know how this works for you.

I got my 7 mile run in today. I was able to do it in less than the 16 minute miles which I need to maintain for the Princess. I'm on track to be ready for the Princess Half.
:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Ice skating was fun. Alyssa lasted longer than I thought she would. She is definitely not athlete material. If it doesn't have anything to do with being girly or dainty, she's not interested. Nicholas brought along one of his little girlfriends, so they were off scooting around the ice. Bethany just keeps on plugging away no matter how many times she falls. She hasn't figured out if it hurts, QUIT!

We came home, I ran to the grocery store, and then we cooked burgers on the grill and had a picnic as kick-off started. Very good game so far.

::yes::

The Ravens are going to get a verbal beatdown at halftime though, I'm sure. If they haven't figured it out by then, I almost would guarantee they come out less "bumbling" than they have been so far!

I'm glad you all had fun skating. I was wondering if you got back in time for the game! Burgers sound great! :)

I hope Ward is able to come back. He is one of our favorite players.

We even had time to run into the mall real quick to pick up 2 new pair of jeans for Alyssa.

I hope so too, though it doesn't sound good. Leftwich has been warming up on and off too, after that hit to Roethlisberger. Ben appears to be ok, but I wouldn't be terribly surprised if they replace him late in the game.
