Riley must have gotten his best night's sleep in years. He was yawling to get out of his new "room" (the bathroom) at 6:30. Once he was let out he found his ball and was chasing it all over the house. With our wood floors that leads to a lot of sliding and skidding on his part

I thought I might confuse someone.

After you fill the cup, instead of drinking the normal way, you would drink from the back of the cup. Now the reason I say you head will wind up in the sink, is because I try and drink as much water as possible and being I'm short I must stand on tiptoe and lean into the sink as the water gets lower.

OK, now I see! I hate hiccups. I will have to remember that for the next time I have them.

I have my first load of laundry in the washer.

DH just came home. He is going to have to make at least 2 trips to the storage unit today to move all of the Christmas stuff out of here. Some of the boxes we needed wouldn't all fit in the car, so when he goes to drop off the full boxes he will have to bring the rest of the empty ones back. I bought enough new ornaments this year to fill another plastic bin. I hope we don't run out of room in the storage unit. Of course a lot of the stuff in there should have gone to Goodwill or the trash, so if we run out of room we will have to do some sorting.

We are about halfway through dismantling Christmas. DH and DS just left to go get some bins out of the storage unit for the decorations (all of the stuff that isn't ornaments) and the box the tree goes in. I am sure our neighbors will appreciate the fact that my wreath is gone. I have a Valentine wreath thing - guess I should go look for it.

DH has been pestering me to let him buy a third dSLR, but I am standing firm. Today he announced he will sell his hunting rifles to pay for the camera. OK, now we are getting somewhere! He hasn't been hunting in a couple of years. The last time he had a hunting license it expired without him going out a single time. When he DID go out hunting in the past he never did shoot anything, so it seems very silly to hang on to the rifles.

Good for you on the Christmas thing. I need to do that today. I was up all night (til 5:30am) with Lizzy and unlike my tough little man she whined all night long. I feel bad that she's so sick but that whining gets pretty old with no sleep.


It sounds like you DH won't miss the rifles but I still don't see the practicality of a 3rd body. Couldn't he find some sort of housing for a camera he has?

I did drag out my old camera case that holds an SLR with a zoom and my camera does fit in it so that is good. It has a couple of little pockets that I can use for an extra battery and memory and the remote. I already purchased a little lens case for my 35mm lens so I'm just going to use a "regular" backpack in the parks then I fit in rain gear, sweaters, snacks, hand wipes and autograph book.

I am plugging along. By my scale at home I am down another 3lbs since Wednesday. I am down, since the beginning of November, about 17lbs. I have been consistently working out every morning, M-F. I would like to be down another 25lbs by the end of April and in order to make my Weight Watchers goal will need to lose 34lbs. I think that by breaking it up will not make it so daunting.

I will have to check and see if that works - if nothing else, I will try to pop in and say "hi". I don't think we have a breakfast that morning, and I believe should be at the MK, but the only thing that makes me hesitate is having to get packed up and checked out that a.m. I will let you know, though!

I've heard that about parties of 2, but have never had any problems when booking far out. However, I just called to make a few ADR's for this trip last Sunday, and everything (including Boma!) was available for parties of 3! I was stunned!

I would love to meet up with you anytime that works for you. Will your parents be with you too? Would love to see your Mom again and it will be nice for you to meet Lizzy.

I originally had a late breakfast scheduled on Wednesday the 29th when MK opens at 8am but then I started reading about folks getting sick at WDW (I think the worse hit in early Dec). I thought it might be better to get an early ADR before everyone had touched everything at the buffet. AND...walking down an empty Main St is one of my favorite things. We now have a late breakfast at OHana on Wednesday-I thought that might be safer with it served family style. I usually don't worry about stuff like that but it would be tough if one of us got sick being there alone with her. And Lizzy isn't a good patient. I figured making a few adjustments to my schedule couldn't hurt.

Amy just posted a brief update that Kevin got to try the AI experience and got 2nd place! No details on song, prize (or not), etc.... but I thought I'd post it here. She posted it publicly, so she can't get mad at me for sharing How exciting! Now we'll have all of our answers, too! Way to go Kevin!

Eh, a third camera body is just as practical as hunting rifles. If he wants to swap one for the other then I don't really care.
I am more irritated by the fact that we spent $400 on accessories for the Sony and he hardly uses it. BUT he doesn't want to get rid of the Sony. He wants to hoard all of the cameras. He says DS might want one. Right. DS is perfectly happy with the Nikon point & shoot!

I would love to get my hands on one, as I frequent B&N when I can.

I think Leighanna will wear this to the Cape May breakfast at the Beach Club. I thought the quilted hem detail kind of gave it a nautical look.

No model today, she is too busy playing with her Mickey Mouse Clubhouse stuff to give me the time of day!

Good day, DDA!

I promise I read everything but don't have much to say for a change! I have been working for 6 hours on compositions today and am still not feeling great. It is not really a cold... not sure what it is. I am achy with no fever and just general blech. But I had to do a 2-week menu, a shopping list and do the grocery shopping and now I am whipped.

We are watching the Cardinals-Eagles game... not looking so good for the Iggles right now, though. We are all very interested to see who will be playing the Steelers in the Super Bowl!

I got my 7 mile run in today. I was able to do it in less than the 16 minute miles which I need to maintain for the Princess. I'm on track to be ready for the Princess Half.
