I do too!! and I am determined to come down to Disney at the same time as some of you. I feel kind of left out.....I've only met one person at Disney.

But i met Theresa in Colorado and a bunch in baltimore (Elin, Tammi, Steffy, Terri, Robyn (and stayed with them!) , Becky, and i think im missing a couple...

Ahh, got it. Here, Drivers Ed is a joke. It's nothing like testing, so therefore you take it and then still have to take the test at the bureau.

My sister in law gave Joe a state quarter holder for Christmas. It has spots for both "P" (Philadelphia) and "D" (Denver) minted quarters for every state. Would any of you guys that live closer to Denver want to check your quarters to see if you have any of the "D"s that Joe is missing? We have every "P". Here are the "D"s he's missing:
1999: Pennsylvania, Georgia
2000: New Hampshire
2001: Kentucky
2002: Tennessee, Louisiana
2003: Illinois, Missouri, Arkansas
2004: Michigan, Texas, Iowa, Wisconsin
2005: California, Minnesota, Oregon, Kansas, West Virginia
2006: Nevada, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota
2007: Washington, Idaho, Wyoming, Utah
2008: Oklahoma, New Mexico, Arizona, Alaska, Hawaii

I would of course reimburse you for the quarters and shipping. Joe would be so thrilled to get his book completed.

I have folders for the girls that are maps so they only have a spot for a quarter not both P's and D's.

The problem is that you girls don't travel in AUGUST.

Terry, Stephanie, Vicki, Tammi, Debbie, Anne Marie, Bernadette, Beth (briefly), Janet, Robyn (but she had to come here for me to meet her), Marci, Lindsay (of course they are local, so that's cheating). I think that's everyone.

Did you read where I said it was ridiculously hot (I might have used the word miserable) in a previous post?! We traveled in May. And September. I think I would suffocate in August!

US Air flight from LaGuardia to Charlotte is in the Hudson River!

About 150 people on the plane, along with 5 crew.

The pilot was reporting they flew into a flock of geese.

People are having to walk on to the wing of the plane and climb aboard boats. YIKES!!!

When I first started watching the coverage on MSNBC the plane was still kind of floating. After about 15 minutes it was completely submerged, but they had all of the people out by then. I think it was sinking and drifting at the same time, because people who could see it at first weren't able to see it anymore after awhile. The Coast Guard said about 35 people ended up actually IN the river. Most of the people I saw who were wearing those yellow inflatable vests did not appear to be wet, but one woman was. Too scary.

Bernadette - I noticed the other day that I have over $6 in change in my wallet. I will check my quarters for Joe.
Excuses will not help you get your bag packed.

Chris and I have been helping Nick come up with some limericks. He needs to turn in a writing portfolio next week and he felt he needed some form of poetry. We had fun doing it. Thankfully Chris did not elighten him with all of the ones in his head He would make a sailor blush.

I bid on a pair of ski boots on ebay so hopefully I won't be outbid. With any luck I'll have boots by next week. If shipping is slow it might take 2 weeks, but at least I may have time to get a bit of skiing in this year.

more of the ham & beans were eaten than I thought would be (even by me...I don't normally like them but it is an expensive meal so I found a recipe that seems to be a good one).

Since I am not sleeping at night I am trying not to nap during the day....which makes me tuckered by this time every night.


I am going to head off as I have a good book and other people might actually want the computer.

Colby is working on his lower case letters tonight. He genuinely wants to learn. We bought a couple of workbooks tonight so he did a worksheet from that and he's been practicing his lower case letters on a wipe off board and in a wipe off book. Hopefully it all helps him.
