HAPPY BIRTHDAY TAMMI!!!!!!!!!!!!!

4.gif

Good morning...

I managed to do a mile this morning on the treadmill. The girls woke up a bit early and we were rockin' out to the Jonas Brothers while I walked!!:rotfl: They thought it was hilarious!

My girlfriend goes to WW tonight and I think that I am going to go ahead and join. I have done it online in the past and done well but I think going with her and having to actually weigh in with someone will keep me on track.

I have also been eating breakfast, a foreign concept to me unless you count a pot of coffee!! I think that is helping a lot.

Good for you for the treadmill! I'm also thinking of joining WW again. It's been too long since the last time, and I can't remember some of the point stuff. Plus, I'm liking some of the stuff I've been hearing about the Momentum plan. It certainly does jump-start my loss if I go in and have to get on a scale in front of someone else, even if I don't know them. And having a friend do it too is so helpful!

I just got a call that my laptop may be spyware free. If so, I might be able to post pics in the next day or two. Back to work for me -- December was our worst month in billings in many years, so I'm trying to work on a bunch of follow-up. Now if I can just get Merrie to do the follow-up...

party: party: Happy Birthday Tammi! party: party:

Good morning, everyone! It has finally stopped snowing! That's the good news. The bad news is now I absolutely HAVE to make a trip to the grocery store! We are running out of the essentials (bread, milk, etc.). So, I guess Timothy and I will bundle up and head out once the kids are off to school. Brr! It's still really cold, though.

Nothing much else really on my schedule for today. I need to sweep the floors and do a load of laundry for Alan, but that's pretty much it. Maybe I'll get out the new towels Alan got me for Christmas and decide which bathroom to put which colors in. I've also got some reading to do before the books I borrowed from the library are due. Of course, this is all contingent on whether or not Mr. Timothy decides to nap today.

Did I mention that he slept from 10:30 to 4:45 this morning!!!!! What a good baby!!!!!

Hey, Tammi! I just realized it is almost "our anniversary!" Is it three years already? Or only two since our first Melting Pot dinner?

I'm thinking it's 3 years. I joined in right at the end of '05 or very beginning of '06. My how time flies when you're having fun.

Question about ski wear, please. Can you wear cotton thermal underwear under your waterproof ski pants? I know about the wool socks, and she has a non cotton undertop for her ski top, and has a wool scarf, but has cotton thermal underpants. Is she going to sweat and then freeze? She's a ski virgin...:goodvibes :goodvibes

Cotton base layers are not a good idea. Cotton holds the moisture toward the skin instead of wicking it away which keeps you cold. A synthetic base layer is much better. Most long underwear is now synthetic. Either a polyester, neoprine or lycra blend. I may contain a little cotton, but not 100%. The old style waffle weave long johns are still 100% cotton and the older generations still buy them so store still sell them. MIL bought Chris a set for Christmas this year, actually she does every year and he doesn't wear them  Of course he couldn't possibly tell his mother.

You all are putting me to shame. I had a sliver of pumpkin pie with coffee for breakfast, and a shortbread. Egg salad sandwich on pump with Cheetos, Dr. Pepper for lunch; Mongolian beef, corn, cranberries and bread for dinner; and my cake and ice cream for dessert. Throw in a variety of small cookies, chocolates and a hunk of cheese for snacks too. So you all are going to look slim and trim and lead a nice healthful life. I'm going to stay blubbery and die from clogged arteries.

I had coffee for breakfast; a PB&J sandwich and some of those "veggie" potato chips for lunch; a Chex Mix granola bar (chocolate and carmel flavor) for snack; tortellini with red sauce, veggies, and bread & butter for dinner. No soda. We have candy and cookies on hand, but no cake or pie or ice cream.
You are not blubbery. I am, but I am going to work on boosting my self-esteem so being blubbery won't bother me.

If you 2 are blubbery than I'm afraid to find out what I am. :rotfl: :rotfl:

School was cancelled today. We started with snow and it has already changed over to rain. It is supposed to change back this evening.

What she said!

Can you take it with milk or yogurt, or is it supposed to be taken at least an hour before diary? I've been taking mine with a ton of water. My burn usually happens somewhere else when taking antibiotics, but I have been taking diflucan every other day. Only two more days for me.

You August people are killing me! In December, I missed Elin by a day, I didn't realize Debbie planned a quick trip, and I'm missing most of you by between a day and a week. UGGGHHH!!!! For August, you guys really should be there to celebrate my birthday, and then stay over for Elizabeth's. :rotfl:

I am going to see if you can convince Joe to come along!! Maybe you could sneak away for a few days? We could have one big party, your birthday, Elizabeth's and Joe's!!

I hope you can work it out. I know a week isn't really long enough, but I keep telling Robyn that a short trip is better than NO trip. Especially when you get to see your friends! :goodvibes

Ugh! I know that burning, even though I am not on antibiotics! Just a few more days.
I know, I know, you MIGHT be able to do WDW in August. But I really WANT you to do WDW in August, even if it is a short trip! Try really hard, OK?

The problem with the antiobiotic is that I am supposed to stay upright for 30 minutes after taking it. 3 out of the 4 times I usually have no problem, but my middle of the night dose kills me. Most of the times it feels like the pill is just stuck there dissolving painfully slow.

What are the dates that cover everyone in Aug, the 9th to the 15th? I keep bringing it up with Eric and I think he's on board, now just to come up with the money.:rotfl: :rotfl:

I keep telling you all... we need to find a neighborhood in the WDW area for us all to move to!

::yes::, it would be so much fun!!!

SSShhhh.....you are going to make Amy jealous!

Thanks again for all of the birthday wishes. Each and every one of them brought a smile to my face. :goodvibes:

Bob sent flowers with a balloon to work today. It was waiting for me outside my office door. I love the thought, but I hate surprises like that. I don't like having a big deal made over me. Low key. Especially when I walk in and see people gawking over them going "So today's your birthday" and "how old?"!

I did not have a good night's sleep at all. I planned to go to bed at 10 PM. I sat on the couch to watch the end of a show and found one little tiny brown bug crawling across a little blanket that was on the couch. I am a bug o phobe so I immediately started tearing the couch apart. first I took the fitted cover off, but I didn't see anymore. Then the cushion came off, still nothing. Then I looked down inside the couch through a tear that is under the cushions. There was all kind of crap in there. so I took some white lysol cleaning wipes and started pulling stuff out. Mind you I do vacuum in the hole when I clean and when the cover is not on. Well apparently crumbs and cat hair had sifted through the cover and ended up in the hole. I did find 2 other little bugs in there. So I spent the next hour and a half searching the web trying to identify the little pests. Of course I couldn't find a photo that matched. If you google couch bugs bed bugs come up, but they don't really look like bed bugs. I was thinking fleas, but they aren't exactly a flea either. So I had no idea what they were when I went to bed. Of course by then I would have sworn that I had bugs crawling on me, so I couldn't sleep. When I finally dosed off I had a nighmare about a murder (probably because I watched one of those crime dramas before I went to bed). About that time Hunter came in as he had had a nightmare of his own. He ended up sleeping on the futon in our room. By then it was 4 AM and I knew that they would be deciding if school would be cancelled around 4:30. We usually get a call between 5:15 and 5:30 so I couldn't fall asleep wondering. The call finally came in at around 5:45. I dosed on and off until 8:30 when I came out to tackle our problem. It is time for me to dissect the couch and clean it well. I am not at all happy about doing it or what I might find. I do know that these are NOT the same critters that we had last year when the exterminator came. I think that problem has been resolved as we freeze all dry pet food when we buy it. I wonder if Riley brought a new friend home in his fur :scared1:

I forgot to mention that I woke up with a cold sore on my nose too. It is not good to be me today.

Elizabeth sounds like your DH is starting to smarten up.

Oh, he always gets up to look at the phone. Calling back (or answering it if he is fast enough) depends on who is calling. If it is another driver he will usually pick up. If it is a supervisor he listens to the message first. :rotfl2:

Robyn - August 9-15 seems to be the popular week at this point. :thumbsup2

Glynis - I am glad Timothy is doing well with his schedule! :goodvibes

Deb - Good luck with your couch! :wizard:

The lady who was supposed to conduct Princess's evaluation today is sick, so they cancelled on us. So Princess is going to school today instead of her "meeting" as we were calling it. Luckily she is taking it pretty well.

Marci - What are your dates again? And why do you miss all of us? You are cruising, right? I can't keep everyone's details straight.

My motivation is that I'm as heavy as I was when I started two years ago. I had lost 25 pounds and I've gained most of it back. My mother was 105 pounds when she got married at 18. I believe she is over 200 now. I was 115 at 18 and again at 20 (when I got married). I'm currently up to about 170 or so. My mother was probably 150-160 at my age.

If I don't start taking better care of myself, I'm going to be as heavy as my mother. She is very unhappy with herself and has additional health problems related to the weight. I don't want to take that route. I also want to eat anything I want to eat (just smaller portions). If I exercise and watch portions, then I'm hoping I can continue to do that.

Great motivation! You can do it!
