Eh.... I finally did get a couple of hours, from like 4-6:30 :confused3 Should be an interesting day  I still have so much to do before people get here this evening, so I'm not sure I'll get a nap! :faint:

Did you guys have any damage from the wind? I haven't been outside yet, but it says it's only 30, which is the high. I don't know about you, but I sort of had this sliver of hope that it would just stay mild through March or so, then turn into spring! :rolleyes1 :)

No damage thankfully, but at times it sounded like a train was going through!

Thanks..yes we will make a claim since the damage looks like its going to be more than our deductable. Dana also submitted a police report which also helps with the insurance claim.

It was kind of funny when Dana saw the big wrench he said "wow nice tool" It's definately an expensive wrench. So when he brought it to the police the policeman who saw it said "Wow at least you get to keep that!" :rotfl: I guess men are very into tools.

To funny lol

Bowling was fun...We should go bowling more often.

DS like to bowl but he gets frustrated. He is so small he can only throw the ball so many times before he gets tired, then his friends outscore him. And the last time we went the bowling alley said they would only allow bumpers for kids under a certain age, so the majority of his shots landed in the gutter.

I am rethinking the CR for October..maybe the Poly?? I keep bouncing back between the 2. Dana mentioned switching to the BC  for our summer trip but thats 12 nights & we arent in the room much. I feel that thats too much unless theres a good deal in the summer.

On a good note, she had a full body PET scan and they did not see any evidence of cancer!

If anyone has some good thoughts or prayers to spare, Susan's FIL's funeral was this morning.
My friend Danielle phoned to tell me her mom is in the hospital. Her mom has been battling cancer for quite awhile, so I am worried about what this hospitalization might mean. :guilty:

Elizabeth this is such wonderful news about your mom :woohoo: :goodvibes

Prayers for Susan & her family

Well I did not make it out yesterday to go shopping. I took my shower & just felt like staying home. I figured I would do it today, but I only made it to the grocery store. My manager called in sick & I ended up working in the office which sorta through my day off. I will finish shopping Friday.

I have been up since 4am, not sure if I will make it till midnight :rolleyes1

I did have to call the Dr. this morning as I think I have another urinary infection. I do not know why I keep getting these, it is starting to get very frustrating. He gave me meds to take for 5 days & if it is not better I will have to go in.

I bought the pizzas for tonight, so dinner will be easy. I also have ribs to make for tomorrow. If I feel energetic later, I might cook them tonight so all I have to do tomorrow is bbq them & put them in the oven when I get home from work.

I am babbling, you can tell I am tired :rotfl:

Hmm. That sounds familiar! :rotfl2:
I have always wanted to stay at CR. But we liked the Poly. I wonder though, how much we would have liked the Poly if we had gotten the room we paid for instead of the concierge room they gave us!
There might be good deals in the summer. Seems like they are struggling to keep attendance up.

Thanks!

Thank you Elizabeth!

Doesn't ds have a birthday coming up?

At the end of next month. I told DH today he HAS TO talk with his supervisor and find out what days he can have off so we can book the hotel room.

I know I have missed some of you, but I hope you all have a Happy New Years Eve!

I was wondering what we were going to do tonight for NYE. We were talking about renting a video but I just found out that Disney is on the Travel Channel tonight starting at 8pm EST. Woohoo! :woohoo: I'll be watching Disney to bring in the New Year.

8 it's Disney Cruise Line
9 it's Disney on a Dime
10 it's Walt Disney World Resort: Behind the Scenes
11 it's Disney Holiday Magic with Samantha Brown
Sounds like a perfect night!

Soooo...

Mom just called. She has to go to the lymphedema clinic EVERY DAY starting next week. They do think it will get better, but not without intervention. I couldn't help it. I said "Did I NOT TELL YOU THAT?" :headache: Yes, I DID tell her that. I told her that over a month ago. So now she gets to go to the clinic every single day. Her arm will be wrapped from shoulder to fingers. She will also be going to radiation every day as soon as they figure out what kind of radiation her insurance will cover. She is thinking about taking a leave from her job until her treatment is finished.

On a good note, she had a full body PET scan and they did not see any evidence of cancer!

Glad your Mom has someone that will make her take care of her lymphedema and that she got such great news on the PET scan!!!!

Poor Susan!:wizard: :wizard: :wizard:

Do you like to unpack on vacation? The rooms at CR have virtually no storage. I'll let you know what I think of Poly NON concierge when I go in January. I hope I like it as much as I did when I went concierge. I'll upload photos of the family suites. I really liked the setup.

Have fun tonight!!!

Family Suite
Here is where the kids slept. We were missing the ottoman the first few days of our trip but that was OK as the girls shared the sofa bed and I liked having the extra room with it not there. You can see the kid's bathroom in this photo.

The kids' beds open. I tried the sofa and was as comfy as any value bed. I tried the chair and I don't know if I would have wanted to sleep in it for 2 weeks but Joe said it was great. We never opened the ottoman and even after they put one in the room.

Here's the kid's TV. It was great having 2 TV's! There was a table to the left of this photo too. The shelf and peg board in this photo was really handy too.

Looking toward the kitchenette. LOVED all the storage in here. There is a 2nd bathroom and 2nd closet to the right and you can see the entrance to the bedroom on the left.

The bedroom. Nice comfy queen bed, a 2nd TV, nice desk with charging strip, and a chair that you won't find in a standard value room.

that's a silly rule!!

We went bowling today and finally not only was I the highest left handed scorer (helps that I am only one :rotfl2: ) but I was the highest score of the game!!:thumbsup2

That was the bowling place we went to at the end of the school year in May. That is not the place we usually go. OK, so we don't USUALLY go bowling, but that's not the place where I have taken DS in the past.

I just did 32 minutes on the Wii Fit. I like the step aerobics. I just unlocked "free step" tonight. I need to put some music on the iPod so I can step to something other than that click-click-click noise.

I think my earlier post about Susan was confusing.
Danielle is another friend of mine, and it is Danielle's mom who is in the hospital. Her mom had breast cancer about 5 years ago, but now she has been battling some sort of GYN cancer. She was doing well and was here visiting at Thanksgiving, so I am not sure why she is in the hospital now.
