So now that Christmas is over, does anyone have plans for New Years Eve?

We will be staying home as I have to work the next day. I will probably make a few appetizers for us to munch on & for Gary & the boys to have for New Years Day. Sounds exciting huh lol

Garrett's birthday is on the 3rd, so I really need to concentrate on that now. I do have his gifts bought though, thanks to some good Christmas sales :thumbsup2

I can't believe 2009 is almost here!

Our tradition is giong out to dinner at Outback Steakhouse. We call ahead for seating so we get there around 9pm and spurge on prime rib and filet. We normally are home in time for the ball drop.

Look what I got from Katrina! It's perfect and I love it! Please tell her thank you for me!

Theresa - I'm glad you enjoyed the movie. I'm sure the fact that it was free doubled your pleasure. ;)

I figure the free part joy was offset by the family who wouldn't stop talking next to us...even though it was just the 2 families. :sad2:

We went to Christmas Eve service at my SIL's church. The kids were in the pageant-Lizzy was Mary, Joe a shepherd and Emma an angle. Joe wasn't thrilled with the idea. He asked my SIL to be sure to bring her video camera to our house Christmas day so she told him that she didn't have to because she got him one. She was hoping he'd be excited thinking about that and wouldn't worry about the pageant. Here is his reaction:

Great pictures. The nighttime church pic is awesome. I see you are still enjoying your new camera.

Boy the sickies keep making their rounds.

:wizard: :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: go away sick germs. Everyone needs to start the new year healthy. Feel better everyone.

Janet nice pictures, I think Gary needs a daughter. :teeth:

Kristine that had to be the best Christmas present? the kids not fighting.

Well, I managed to organize the unfinished portion of the basement where the water came in. It was a lot of boxes with junk and such in them. Now I have 3 big boxes of crap ready to put out for the garbage men. But I also found a box with some old pictures. Some were from my proms, my first trip to WDW (don't get excited, I was in college, but still thrilling none the less), and a few of me and Nicholas when he was 6 months old. Boy, did I look YOUNG! If I get motivated maybe I'll scan a few and post them.

Janet-those pictures are just awesome!!:goodvibes

We were going to see Marley & Me today but changed our mind and we are going to go see Bolt. Gotta love Mypoints.....first Christmas Eve dinner, then one of Abi's presents (Border GC) now our other Holiday tradition...a movie in the full price theater!!:lovestruc

Great pics, Janet!

Yay for free stuff! :cool1:

Kristine - I'm all set. That converter was just a trial version, but after I purchased it for $15 it seems be working fine. Thanks for the help!

Glad you got that worked out! I had no clue there were different formats. :confused3

I am glad you got it!! :)

I am puttering around cleaning...but so far all I have accomplished is accidentally dyeing a bunch of towels pink!

I like clean towels. Even if they are pink. ;)

We went to 3 malls, 2 Kohl's and a Famous Footwear.
I took back the Gap stuff DS didn't like, got a price adjustment on DH's Gap jacket (saved $30! ), had the extra links taken out of DH's new watch, switched my Clinique stuff for the right thing, bought a new calendar and some Hallmark ornaments, bought a Lands End fleece for me and a shirt for DH at Sears. We found 2 pairs of shoes for DS, buy 1 get 1 for half price. I had a $5 coupon and a $5 reward certificate so we ended up paying $49 total for 2 pairs of New Balance sneakers. :thumbsup2

I got a statement from my health insurance. Looks like my new Dr. charges HALF of what the old Dr. was charging for my injections. I knew the old Dr. was doing something screwy.

Pixos are not meant for impatient little 4 year olds :headache: She did about 10 dots and then gave up.

Oh, and Lucy has a double ear infection.

We canceled our plans for tomorrow morning, breakfast with our 2 sets of friends and their kids. The one couple lives an hour away and I am just not up for that drive. Still feel ok, just have absolutely no energy.

At least she didn't eat them. Although they are supposed to be non-toxic now. :rolleyes1
I hope Lucy feels better soon! :wizard: Has your regular pediatrician said anything about tubes for her?
Sorry you are going to miss out on being with your friends tomorrow, but pushing yourself wouldn't be a good idea.

Kristine you sure do like to dye things :rolleyes1

Tammi I would love to see your pictures!

Robyn sorry about tomorrow, hope you all continue to feel better :wizard:

Heidi no more babies here, hopefully a grand daughter someday though!

Elizabeth sounds like you had a good shopping day!

Merry Christmas Friends
Sorry it's one day late, we had a busy day yesterday, but not too hectic which was nice. We woke up to a white Christmas, not snow but fog.

I'm so sorry to hear about your job Lindsay

To all of those who are under the weather, I hope you are on the mend soon.
