DDA Chapter 16

Like 2 days worth of snow and ice weren't enough, the winds started last night and it is damn cold. I need to put a lightweight coat on.

Next problem...Colby managed to get a lot on his down filled comforter. As I suspected the first washing did not get much out. I started the comforter alone for a second run and it turns out that it floats so the washer isn't washing it :headache: I tried to agitate it by hand and I'm hoping that will work, but I have no idea. I can't think of anything else to do. :confused3

Not that you can get to the dry cleaners in 2 feet of snow, but that might be your only option. Or the laundromat, where they have those giant size washers. If the washers at the laundromat are front loading that should do the trick.
I hope the boys are feeling better soon!

We have no water & I don't think it is frozen. We have never had problems with the bathroom. I am wondering if there was a water main break somewhere?

Anyway this suck, I need to get ready for work. I do have enough water in a bottle to brush my teeth at least :sad2:

Ugh! That's an unpleasant surprise! I hope it comes back on soon! :wizard:

I need to get ready for work, too. It's going to be a challenging day. They are replacing the water heater at work. The guy is supposed to start at 8 AM, and he won't be finished until around noon. So I can't leave with the kids. :headache: Then the housekeeper will be there while I am trying to get Princess to nap. People will be in my work space ALL DAY. I have a feeling this one day will feel like it is about 5 days long. :scared:

Hopefully there won't be any flight delays so the grandparents can make it this evening as planned. Once they arrive I will be OFF until Monday!

Debbie - just let me know if you want them. I have many bottles and rings. You'll just need to get new nipples.

Deb - what a trying night. I hope Colby is feeling better and that no one else gets sick.

Janet - Well, at least you have snow that you can melt. ;) I hope whatever the problem is, that you have water when you get home.

Alyssa threw up again in the middle of the night. There was nothing to it though, just liquid. I swear, for a split second, I thought she dumped a glass of water on her bed just to fake being sick. Anyway, she is slightly not as active during the day (I attributed it to being tired from being up at night), no appetite (just a few bites during the day), and an upset tummy. We've never gone through the flu here, so would this be something I should take her to the dr. for, or just let it ride it's course? What can I give her to eat that would be easy on the tummy?

Bernadette nice bags and cute dress. Though that bag you made your friend is a little busy inside. ;)

I always followed the three day rule, if no improvement after the third day they went to the doctor. Food is not so important but have her sip small amounts of liquids throughout the day, for food follow the BRAT diet.

Stay warm Heidi, thank you for the E card it was really cute.

Terry sorry to hear that you came home sick. Is it a cold or do you think its the Norwalk virus? Hope you are feeling better soon. :wizard: :wizard:

Becky sorry to hear that you are getting sick, may it pass quickly. :wizard:

Tammi hope whatever Alyssa has passes soon. :wizard:

Elizabeth hope the day is not as bad as you think.
:wizard: that the workman will be done sooner then later.

Thanks Debbie, the winds sound like a train is coming through. I put on a pull over and am much warmer now.

Deb poor Colby, hope he is feeling better soon and that Nick doesn't get sick too. :wizard:

I agree with Elizabeth, take the comforter to the Laundromat.

Good Morning all, sounds like a round of  :wizard:  :wizard:  :wizard: is needed.

Tammi,
I do the same at Debbie...have Alyssa eat the BRAT diet. Hydration is what is most imporatant so I usually give my kids Gaterade when they are sick like that.

:wizard: for it to pass soon.

Deb,
Hope your boys are feeling better this morning.

Terry,
Get well soon!

Tom,
Glad Leighanna is out of the hospital.

Janet,
Hope your water is back soon.

:wizard:  :wizard:  :wizard: to everyone feeling under the weather.
