Thanks for the Christmas cards.

I think I am sick. My whole body aches, my throat is killing me, I have been coughing on and off, have a runny nose, have a fever. I am sitting here in socks, pants, long sleeve shirt, polar fleece vest, hooded sweathshirt and covered in a blanket and am still cold. I never leave socks on when I am home and have had them on all day.

I hope that everyone is well.

I hope Leighanna does not need surgery.

ohhh! I hope you don't get too sick and it passes quickly!!

So what gift are you most excited to see someone open?
This bag I made for a friend:

I still have a few more projects I hope to finish.....

Good gracious Bernadette you have been busy!! Beautiful handiwork:goodvibes

Bernadette wow

Good gracious Bernadette you have been busy!! Beautiful handiwork:goodvibes

Thanks!

I think Emma might need a slip under her dress. Where can I find a slip? Would Sears carry them? I don't remember ever seeing them at Walmart. I have to see what size the one slip we have is. It is from Hanna Andersson. There is a Hanna store in MA but I don't think it would be worth the 40 mile drive for a slip. Maybe I should check Macy's then I could look for Croc Mammoths.;)

Bernadette I love that bag, your friend will love it as well!

While I was at work someone thought it would be ok to cross the yellow tape at the burned down building across the street & help themselves to what beer was left :confused3 The police showed up & arrested him, now his car is parked out front.

Gary took pictures of the whole thing, it is pretty funny. This guy had frozen quarts of beer sitting on top of his car. I am really surprised that anything survived the fire & why would you want frozen beer anyway! I need to push my idiot button quiet a few times for that one :rotfl:

Who would want beer that was probably boiled fromthe flames before it was frozen? GAG! Of course I don't like beer anyway, but still...

Man I need to find a good Jewelry repair store. My engagement ring decided to break on the bottom side.

The band on a ring DH bought for me when we were dating snapped in half but I just stuck it in my jewelry box. Not sure how much it costs to have one fixed. :confused3 You could always just tell Jeff you need an upgrade for Christmas. :rolleyes1

Feel better, Becky! :wizard:

Well the guy must have bailed himself out, he just picked up his car :sad2:

I'm sorry, that made me laugh out loud! :lmao:

Bernadette good to read you

Hi, Bernadette!

Thanks! I've been busy!

No wonder you are hardly ever around the DIS these days!

Thanks!

My Macy's had Mammoths for $30, and I had a $10 off a $25 purchase coupon so they ended up being $20. :thumbsup2

DH and I braved the cold and got ALL of the presents out of the car. I wrapped all of DS and DH's stuff. DH still needs to wrap mine, but there are only like 5 things. Unfortunately we only have one box left. NONE of the stores offered me a box this year and I didn't think to ask so we are a bit box challenged.

I wanted Mammoths last year. My SIL bought me some very expensive fuzzy clogs from Eddie Bauer but they just don't feel right on my feet.

I need to get the stuff I mailed to my MIL's. I still don't how we're going to fit all the American Girl stuff in the house.:scared1:

I was hoping you would have slip advice-you're the resident shopping expert.........

that would be nice but it wont be for Christmas unless its an IOU as I doubt he will go to the mall this close to Christmas. The engagement ring is part of the set.

I watched a Christmas movie on the hallmark channel called our first Christmas it was cute. I am watching undercover Christmas on lifetime now.

We saw the last half hour...I love all the cheesy Christmas movies. :goodvibes

Bernadette - Well, Sister never owned a slip so I never had to shop for one. Princess doesn't have one, either. But I tend to think if she needed one it would come from her grandmother along with the dress.
Sears might have them. Do you have a Strasburg? They might have them. We have tons of little boutique places that would probably have them but I don't know about "normal" places. I had a heck of a time just finding undershirts for DS. I bought some at Gap and then found more at Kohl's. The Kohl's ones were cheaper but I decided the ones from Gap will be fine. Good thing, because there were probably 20 people in the line at Kohl's. :scared:

DH is wrapping my presents. Perhaps that's because I left them on the bed? :confused3

We made some place & bake cookies today and they are GROSS! They are very sour, which is NOT the way they are supposed to taste. I am wondering if the package got too warm during the shipping process. I plan to call Pillsbury and tell them the cookies were inedible. Hopefully they will send a coupon for a new package. We made some last weekend and they were fine, and I bought the packages at the same time.

Today was cookie making day. The kids made over 100 cookies. We also made 2 batches of Glynis' oreo truffles.
