I don't drive so I don't pay much attention to what's out there. I like to day dream. :rolleyes1
Besides my DH can scare people (who are thrill junkies) with his speed, but after 23 years with him I'm use to it.

We are looking at this campground as a potential option

It looks great in cyberspace :rotfl: Have you ever driven by it Heidi?

Good morning, DDA!

I didn't sleep well again last night. :headache: Back to work this morning.

Robyn - Good luck at the Dr! :wizard:

Debbie - I hope DH's back is better! :wizard: It might be a good idea for him to go to the Dr. and get some meds just in case. Cheaper and easier to do it before you leave home!

Elin - More hugs to you and Bob.

Good morning everyone! Im being a bum for a bit until i have a dentist appointment and massage appointment--i cannot wait!

The new year is almost here are ya ready for it?

I am! My New Years Resolution is going to be to enjoy what is happening and try to be more optimistic about certain things...there are some things going on that may be very good for me and I am always pessimistic..so i decided i need to just be optimistic and enjoy what is goign on now and not worry about what may happen!

Vicki.....

Do you work or live anywhere near the town of Okemos?

I am back and happy to report all is well!! I do, however, have to stay on antibiotics for the next 2 weeks. Obviously, a small price to pay. The dr. was quite pleased that it healed the way it did and the infection drained on it's own.

And the best news of all, I am daycare kid free all week. They weren't sure if Grandma was going to take all 3 of the boys for the week down to their beach house but she did!! Yay for me!!!!:dance3: :dance3: And Allyson's mom is on vacation all week too!! Fabulous. :cool2:

Em, Mo and I are about to tackle the playroom. It is horrendous down there. You'd think they lived in a trash bin. :headache:

When I saw the name of my job on my caller-id, why, oh why would I answer???:sad2: :sad2: :sad2:

So ends pj day.

And YAY for no daycare kids this week! Lucky girl! ;)

Oh, no! You need to do what DH does. Let them leave a message, listen to it, and then decide if you REALLY want to call back. Sorry about the demise of pajama day. :sad2:

Family has stayed at Don Laine and really liked it.

I looked at that one and it didn't look bad. Is it close to you? Close to the racetrack? Is there an amusement park or waterpark closeby?

Good morning...

Thanks for all the 's and:wizard:. Lucy managed to sleep soundly through the night so I'm hopeful she was just cranky. She was horrible for those few hours before bed. :confused3

I am off to the dr.s, hopefully with good results.

I'll catch up later.

Have a great day.

I hope that you have good results and that Lucy is feeling much better.

I will check with John tonight and then let you know.

Both of these places are in the Jim Thorpe area which is not far from me at all.

The jtraft trip with a touch of class 2 sounds pretty cool. Once we have our dates set I'll have to call them and check it out more.

We are off to a slow start. Colby just HAD to have me download some songs for him this morning. He got a 15 song download card from napster for Christmas with his MP3 player and he needed some head banging music. He is really into the 80s Music, Bon Jovi, Aerosmith, Joan Jett, Scorpions. I'm pretty sure he was born in the wrong era. Chris should have been born in the 50s and Colby in the 80s :confused3 So he rattled off 5 songs that he needed and we found and downloaded them. Now he is contently listening. I need to clean up the kids bedrooms and do some laundry. I did manage several loads of coats yesterday so that is one big project started.

Am I ready for New Year's? You bet. I really need to pull myself together again. I not only need to lose weight, but I need to get fit. I need to get my house organized again. I need to get us financially organized again. I need to regain control of everything that I have conveniently let go. So I've set goals. I will do weight watcher, and in fact I've already cut back significantly since my little virus. I thought that would be a great catalyst. I need to reread all of the materials as it has been years since I've read them. Then I need to actually write down everything I eat and calculate the true points, not just what I remember them being. I will paint and otherwise decorate my bathroom. The accessories are all here, so there is no excuse. Along with that I will finish the flooring in the closets and add the baseboards to our room. I started that room years ago and never finished. I think that will be my big household upkeep project for this year. I will also clean and purge all the junk from the house. Man does it pile up. I will get our budget updated and stick to it. I will also budget in our summer trip this year and start budgeting for our next WDW trip and our Hawaii Adventure in 2012.

See, I've really thought about it this year. I've set goals and plan to keep them :thumbsup2 I really want to get a family membership to the new pool/fitness club when it opens, but I need to be financially responsible and NOT do it until we can really afford it. It is over $1000/yr for the membership. This is the first healthclub membership that I can justify as we all love to swim and the facility is about 2 miles from our house :thumbsup2

I am sorry you are having trouble sleeping too!!

I think I am ready for DH to go back to work. That is part of the problem, as well as the temperature in the bedroom fluctuating. Last night I would get too hot, fling off the covers, get too cold and start to shiver, pull the covers back up, repeat. DH got up at 5 AM to use the restroom and I figured he would go out to the living room. Nope. He got back in bed. He went to bed about 9 PM so he has been getting HUGE amounts of sleep while I get NONE. Not only did he come back to bed, the cat got in the bed and she brought a toy. She was pouncing and jumping all over the bed, stepping on me. I finally told DH to go in the living room and take the cat with him. Of course it was 5:15 by then so I only got another 90 minutes of rest. I won't call it sleep, because it wasn't.

Elin, sending lots of thoughts and prayers your way!

Tia, that's great news about a house! :yay:

Debbie, I hope your DH is feeling better today, and I'm wishing you a magical trip a few days early! :wizard:

:wave2: everyone! Happy New Year's Eve Eve. :)

Thanks for all the compliments on our card. One of these days, I'll show you how the Photoshop Master switched out a child's head... :upsidedow

I am getting REALLY stressed out about the stupid Science Fair. DS had a project planned, but we put it off and put it off. Now it is too late to start the project he was going to do. On top of that, I can't find the materials we need, so even if we wanted to keep the same project, we can't. Now we are starting over from scratch. He has to choose a project, do a 2 page research paper, do the experiment, and have the entire display board finished by the time he goes back to school. :headache: I HATE Science Fair!
