Garrett has been up since 3am throwing up, guess I will be keeping him home today.

It is raining & in the 40's right now, but it will get colder as the day goes on. It will probably look like a skating rink outside later. Have I said how much I hate ice!

I hope whatever bug Garrett has passes quickly!

Hopefully whatever Garrett has does not makes it's rounds. He got sick again before I took Riley to school. He is sleeping right now.

My SIL is engaged! I'm really happy for them. This is the SIL that was almost not invited to my wedding because she used to be so downright nasty (and still can be obnoxious, but comes by it naturally ) but who is much more mature now ... and the future BIL-by-marriage(?) that keeps her in line and whom we love dearly!

Chanon took this picture by setting the timer on her camera

...and we found out that there is a slight problem with having an automatic timer! You can't control where people stand in the picture. Here was attempt #1 -

So since you guys arrive 8/9 and Tammi is also considering 8/9 I think any date from 8/10 through 8/14 should work for a DDA dinner. I was looking at Wednesday 8/12. What do you guys think?

All of your Christmas trees look wonderful! We have one up (the traditional one...no Disney ornaments), but I don't think either of us have taken a picture of it.

Glynis, I'm glad Timothy finds his swing soothing. I hope you make time for a nap today.

Thank you for all your Christmas cards! We haven't even ordered any yet, since we still haven't received our JCPenney portrait CD for Kevin to design anything. Our cards seem to go out later and later each year!

I'm trying my best to keep things SIMPLE. I don't want to be the mom who misses out on all the fun moments, because I was too busy in the kitchen.

Despite the fact I want to keep things simple, Kevin still has meetings and holiday parties almost every night for the next two weeks. Thus, we made a trip to the mall last night to visit Santa. It ended up being a great experience, and we had Santa to ourselves for almost half an hour.

Alyssa told Santa she wanted "bad guys" for Christmas. Santa said he didn't like Bratz dolls. She really meant she wants some Disney Villains to add to her princess Barbie doll collection.

Noah's socks are coming off in the group picture. He kicks them off all the time! It's also amazing his fingers aren't in his mouth in these pictures!

I hope I don't curse myself by sharing this with you, but Noah is sleeping a little better since he's figured out how to roll on to his tummy. He's actually slept for an eight hour stint for two of the last four nights (8-4), and the other two nights, he only woke up twice. Much improved over the waking up every two hours!

Now, if I could only convince myself to go to bed before midnight.

Ahh yes, this was always my problem! When the girls started sleeping 6-8 hours, I'd still only get 1-2!
