Does anyone know of any book detailing the history of building WDW? My dad wants one, from how Walt purchased the land to actual constructing of the parks.

once they have their own game systems....I feel like they are entitled to their own games....so if all have it on their list...that's what I do

Today is our 24th Wedding anniversary.

I'm not posting a picture of my tree this year for a couple of reasons:
1. Our camera software is acting up, and Alan hasn't had time to fix it yet.
2. We are only putting up one tree this year as we are going to be with my Dad for Christmas. So, we put up the tree with the kids ornaments on it. They wanted to do the decorating, and no one but me is allowed to touch the Disney ornaments! So, no pictures this year (unless Alan can fix the camera!)

Happy anniversary Tom and Angie!!! Congratulations on 24 years together!

Today is going to be a quiet day. Alan went back to work so it's just the baby and me. I just got him to sleep and took a fast shower. Now, I'm catching up here, next is a load of laundry, then on to the fun! I'm starting the Christmas "baking". As long as I feel good, that is. I'm taking it pretty easy, but if I can get some of it done while he's asleep, I'll feel a bit less stressed about the holiday!

So, I'll check in later.

Jennifer here is my tree. Please excuse the sneakers and boots in the bottom right. I didn't get a shot of the tree topper, its a gold star burst with a Mickey head in the center.

Funny you should mention that! I have the recipe right here, as I'm making a batch to take to dad's for Christmas dinner! Lucky you!!!

German Salad Dressing

1 C. cider vinegar
1 C. sugar (granulated)
1 1/2 tablespoons onion salt
1 Dash garlic salt
1/2 tablespoon whole thyme
1/4 tablespoon rosemary
1/4 tablespoon sweet basil
1/4 tablespoon capers - with juice
1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon dill
1/4 C. lemon juice
1/2 C. orange juice

Place all ingredients in a clean quart jar. Place lid on tightly and shake until salt and sugar are dissolved then fill the bottle with vegetable oil.

Shake again before dressing salad.

I couldn't shoot the whole thing because of the tree....but:

you can get them as vinyl lettering that you place on the wall.....the lady that did all the faux painting in my house put it on for me.....she also hand painted this design over my kitchen cabinets. She does stunning work....without templates.....wish I had some of her talent

Today is the 18th anniversary of my first date with DH.

Jennifer - No tree in our house. In fact, we don't have any decorations up. We took most of the decorations to the storage unit, and that is DH's territory. I never go to the storage unit. The Christmas stuff was what we put in there first, and knowing all the junk DH has hauled over there since then, I doubt the decorations are even accessible without emptying out the entire unit.

We are slowly ticking off the days to our Disney trip. Leighanna is getting so excited. She talks about it constantly and still remembers our first trip when she was just 3 turning 4.

I'm thinking that you need to get 3 games. I would have a problem with it too, but without being able to share, what other choice do you have. I think it would be worse if one got it and the other 2 didn't.

Welcome back, Anne Marie!! I hope that you had a terrific time. You definitely aren't nuts. In that situation, I'd buy three of the same game, too.

Welcome back, Tammi! I hope your trip was magical!

I am enjoying all the tree photos. We went out and cut ours on Saturday. Last night we began decorating, but we still have more to do.

I tried to skim through this weekend's posts, but I don't remember anything now. Does someone have some brain that they are willing to share?

I just finished up Christmas presents for the parents of my preschool kids. I took a class photo at Thanksgiving and then individual photos of the kids with their turkey headbands. I put a group and an individual together on one 5x7 and just sent them out for processing (it's hard not to say "developing" ). The kids are also going to make the handprint reindeer potholder. I was going to do a Christmasy photo with the kids, but 1. I'm running out of time and 2. one of the kids is having a rough time right now, and he hates cameras. For the kids in my class, I ordered two books from Scholastic with the school's points.

That is beautiful, Kristine! My SIL is also very talented. She painted words in her kitchen. Her dd's room is hand painted and looks like wallpaper. She moved the toilet paper holder in her bathroom and need to repaint the wall. Instead of just touching it up, she painted a whole mural. I wish I had a thousandth of that talent.
