DDA Chapter 15

Well I check my account online a lot, so it was caught early. I immediately called the credit company to let them know, so if they try anything else the company should know not to let it through.

Yikes! That sounds almost like a teenager. Or someone testing the card to see if it will work so they can move on to bigger and better things! :scared:

Thank you all for the hugs.

That is number 3 from cancer, mom's is in remission and the uncle before... his oldest is done with his chemo from prostate cancer and doing well.

I have to apologize for my spelling typos. I do have spell check and use it, but some times its spelt right just has a different meaning.

Example: I have been typing you're, when it should be your. But English class was never my strong suit.

I'm so sorry for your loss!

I really don't pay much attention to people's typos, misspellings, etc. on message boards. I know that when I type quickly I mess things up, too.

I have been summoned for Jury Duty. At least it's not until after the holidays, though. It's a US District Court about 1/2 hour away. This is only my second time summoned for any duty. The first was a county grand jury, and I was released almost immediately, because they had too many jurors. Since it covered my first day of teaching preschool (and very few others asked to be excused), I was excused.

Has anyone seen the Bridget Jone's Diary movies?
I saw the first one this weekend, it was on LMN. I now want to see the second one, maybe I will go and actually rent a movie.

And boy howdy is Colin Firth a cutie. :goodvibes

Thanks Beth.

Good luck with jury duty, maybe they won't use you this time either. I was only ever called once too, but John has been called 3 times in the 5 years we have been here.

What is everyone having for dinner tonight?
We are having turkey soup, mom is making it. I told John now that mom is across the street, I will let her make the homemade soup. :teeth:

Thanks Beth.

Thanks! The $40/day + mileage is more than I make teaching, but it's a lot more inconvenient. If I'm not selected for a trial, the most I'll need to go is 1 day. I'm "on-call" for a month, but once I've appeared, that's it.

Well I guess I should get the Christmas wrapping done. Why o why can't I just bag everything like my sister would do? (I could just prefer gifts that are wrapped.)

Jennifer, sorry that the girls got sick.:wizard: :wizard: :wizard:
Here's hoping that it will be short lived.

Heidi, that was fast! I am glad that you liked them!

Wow you can tell you live in a city. Here its like $12/day + mileage, but even that is not that much.

I think it was $12/day for the county grand jury. This is the "big time", I guess. There are only a few US District courts, and I'm glad that we are fairly close to one.

Ick. Jury duty. I haven't been called in quite awhile. In FL I had to go once, but I got out of it because I wasn't feeling well that day. When they called me back I was moving out of the state. I think I might have been called in TX once or twice but I got out of it because of the thing about having children under a certain age and nobody to look after them. I think jury duty pay is only like $5 here. I could be wrong, but I seem to recall that it isn't even enough to cover the cost of parking downtown.

I read both books and loved them, but the movies didn't do anything for me.

Usually I don't notice any one's typing mistakes except my own!! (and those I don't catch until I've hit send:rotfl: )

Colin Firth is one of my favorite actors and DANG! He's hot!!

I read the first book because everybody made a hullabaloo over it (and the movie). I couldn't even finish watching the movie I thought it was so bad...even with Colin eye candy.

I have only been called for jury duty once...and was called off the night before. Hope it's called off for you too!

I think with the pittance of turkey we have left I will make turkey tetrazzini because that's all I made the turkey for.:rolleyes1
