Hi, Janet! Are you packed? You leave VERY soon!!

No(sorry Elizabeth), I probably will not get to pack till Tuesday night. I am getting ready to leave for work now & then I have to go back tonight for end of year inventory. I work Monday & Tuesday as well. I also need to grocery shop so Gary & the boys will have something to eat while I am away.

I have everything I need to pack, so it should not take me long, figuring out what I want to wear will take the longest

Oh & it is snowing & we have a weather advisory out! It never fails, the last 2 years on Nov. 30th we have gotten our 1st big snow storm & then when I get home from work at 2 or 3 in the morning I have to struggle to get up the driveway

I can believe that tomorrow begins December. I have a Christmas luncheon and a Christmas concert tomorrow night!

Oh & it is snowing & we have a weather advisory out! It never fails, the last 2 years on Nov. 30th we have gotten our 1st big snow storm & then when I get home from work at 2 or 3 in the morning I have to struggle to get up the driveway

Wow, you've had an interesting weekend. I hope that they found the suspects. I would have been scared It's nice that you had a day or two to yourself. You are always on the go, I bet the downtime was just what the doctor ordered.

Sounds like everyone got what they wanted. Well except Jennifer didn't get her snowglobe.

I wasn't really interested in getting one, Penney's was the 4th store on my list! I was just surprised, because ours were definitely gone within 15 minutes. I asked because I wanted the coupon!

Now for some news.



Yesterday at 2:15 pm. a fire broke out at a local chocolate store, said store was connected to a chinese restaurant and a pizza parlor. I have a cousin that is a volunteer fire fighter and his company was called out. Well he and another guy went into the chinese restaurant to try and keep it from catching fire.
Well they were inside when the place exploded. My cousin was thrown into the air and landed on his back/side on the counter, then rolled off. He told his partner to grab hold of his boot they were going out the window. Both men were assessed and then sent home, both are sore but fine.

Yikes! I'm glad they are ok!

Good morning DDA...

We are gearing up for our last few hours here. The girls have had a great time and I am sure will not want to go home and face reality. They are spoiled here like you wouldn't believe!

Yesterday afternoon we checked into the hotel where my Jane works so the girls could swim for a bit. After that everyone gathered in the suite for a pizza party. It was great fun. We then went over to the park for the Christmas tree lighting ceremony. Then we came back and got the girls settled in with Linda and John. Eric and I went out for the evening with Jane, Jim, Dave and Beth. It was so much fun to hang out with them. The only downside was that we were in a smoky bar and my throat is killing me, but it's a small price to pay for the time I got to spend with them.

Everyone is headed over here sometime this morning to hang out before we hit the road. I am sure once we are settled nicely on the road I'll be on to pass the time.

I think I might get my tree up.

We are going to meet Jeff when he gets off work at the galleria near us as Santa is their today from 12-6 an we can take pics for free. Then he need to go back to fry's as the motherboard and processor he bought for the computer yesterday would not come on. Not sure if us girls will tag along again.

I never, ever thought I would have to do what Marci said about writing things down about Jim but we hit a turning point. He just threatened that he didn't want me to have the girls. I am trying very hard to be nice but that just turned a page and I just told him so.

Although I had lost touch with them some of my friends from High School their infant son died on Thanksgiving day. He was born in June with a heart defect and had several surgeries in his short life. I can not imagine what they are going through.

Besides that I am doing alright. I have been catching up on TV shows and did some cookie batter mixing. They will be baked later.

I am home and exhausted--it was an amazing trip!! i am in the middle of typing up a summary/mini trip report to send my cousin..if theres any interest, ill post it here too--it does not seem like its going to be much, but there were some major highlights--including the game, limo ride, playing on the field..

Ill be putting pictures on facebook tonight too if ayone wants to see!

Good morning. We made it home around 1:15am last night. Not too bad as we hit the road at 3:30pm. I have to spend today digging out from the mess that has become my house. The laundry is piled miles high. Everything needs to go back to where it belongs. I hate this part of vacation.

Emma says thank you for her birthday wishes. She is spending the morning working on her homework packet from school. I feel like a horrible mom for not wishing her a happy birthday when I woke up. My brain is so foggy.

And guess what I have tonight, a Girl Scout meeting. Why, because it is the only time we can all meet before Thursday and we have a ton of stuff to go over. I have to take at least an hour but probably closer to 2 getting everything ready for tonight. At least it will be an enjoyable time so it's not quite so much a chore.
