DDA Chapter 15

Let's see if I can tell you how the last bit of time at work went:

Sunday I got a gift card from SPRC at the 11 am service....we got out of there about a half hour after service ended. The people who stopped to talk to me meant more to me than the gift card.

Monday we went out as a staff for lunch (without Miss Tattle tale and her assistant...Miss is on vacation and assistant wasn't asked:confused3 ) and I got a lovely card from my sounding board.

Tuesday-this was actually the hardest day. My bulletin stuffers gave me a salad lunch, which was so, so scrumptious. They also gave me a card with money collected from them...that little bit they collected meant more to me because they are all on fixed incomes and did it out of love not because somebody guilted them in to doing it. One of them also gave me a beautiful tea pot, cup and saucer. The downstairs teachers brought me a bouqet of flowers and a lovely card.

Yesterday was actually kind of exhilirating!! Except when the preschool director came in on her day off with her precious son to bring me a goodbye gift (a Willow Tree Thanks angel).:sad1: I haven't gotten the guts up to read a note that one of the other members brought in right before we closed the doors. It took me ten type written pages to give the basics of my job and I know I forgot a LOT. I left my keys on the boss's desk at 6 PM.:cool1: (I will go in on a contract basis to get a software mess figured out but not until LOGOS calls them).

Today we will go over to our friend's house that is the place where everybody goes. I am making creamed corn casserole and stuffing.

Guess what I just got???:confused3

Hi Theresa! He's here, and Glynis wouldn't let me do another things until I let you know.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Alan

I have sent them a congratulatory note and asked for the official name!!

ETA: On facebook Alan has written that they have welcomed Timothy Locke

okay you all have to go to Facebook and see the videos Alan has put up of Timothy:lovestruc :lovestruc

Thanks for posting, Theresa!

Congratulations Glynis and Alan (and family), and Welcome baby Timothy! :yay:

My turkey is perfectly done.:goodvibes :goodvibes I'm getting ready to make my mac and cheese. DD made the sweet potato pies at 5:00 this morning. We just watched Fred Clause on demand!

I sure hope all of you under the weather feel better soon and can leave the porclean goddess alone for a while. :goodvibes

Elizabeth, my family wants to go to US also. I'm searching for cheap tickets and also found out they have shuttles from WDW to US. By next year I think the Harry Potter section should be open. They also have a couple of really cool attractions. My DGD is a roller coaster queen and US has some of the best. My DGS will go nuts when he sees Donkey and SpongeBob. I'll get reservations for breakfast with Spiderman, Thing1 and Thing2 and someone else.

I was truly hoping to see you were excited about going to US. I was looking forward to you researching it and being able to guide me :goodvibes :goodvibes  I figured by August you would have the place mapped out, the ride times down to a science and would be able to guide me in which order I should go and everything!!! :cloud9:

Deb, I'm pretty disappointed in the BF ads too. So far it looks like I'm going to Penneys for luggage and bras. And the free Disney snow globe. :smickey: I don't think I'm going to go to midnight madness at the outlets since my sister isn't here. :sad2:

I should have asked Elin this about the Eucerin too. Is there cocoa butter in Aveeno? I am allergic to cocoa butter.

We have to use Aveeno (smell allergy) and since starting with that Abi's hands have never ever gotten as bad as they did before.

I don't think so but of course I can't find it right now. :rotfl2: I am pretty sure Eucerin doesn't either.

Congrats to Glynis and Alan, and welcome to the world Timothy. :goodvibes

Terry, yup got a pair of gloves to wear, and when the feet get bad I will wear socks to bed.

My sister has the most terrible dry skin I have ever seen (her whole body) and is always looking for something that is gonna work longer then a few weeks. (its like her body gets used to the lotion)

You know how Harry Potter got everybody reading?? I am thankful to the Twilight books...it has both of my girls reading.:goodvibes

can you all tell I don't have anything to do this morning??:lmao:

I saw that you can buy a package that includes a Mears shuttle to and from US. I just have NO interest in going. I would much rather plan it for 2010 when we will be there for more than 9 days. That way if we are going to stay at a US hotel for a couple of nights we can map that out from the very beginning.

Congrats to Glynis and Alan, and welcome to the world Timothy. :goodvibes

CONGRATULATIONS, Glynis & Family!! How wonderful! Welcome, Timothy!! :goodvibes

Heidi - Bath & Body has socks infused with aloe. You are supposed to be able to wash them 25 times before the aloe washes out. I already bought some plain socks for my mom or I would have considered the aloe ones.

We looked at all of the Black Friday ads but we didn't see anything worth going out for. DH wants another memory card for his camera but that's about it. We are meeting the Uncles for breakfast at 9 AM so I doubt we will go out before that.

I looked at stuff online but didn't see anything there, either. :confused3

DS is on the phone with my mom, so she obviously made it safely. She told him she is planning to see him on Saturday, so she better not change her mind.

I've read to get lotion that contains Shea butter. I bought Suave with Shea and love it!

Congratulations Glynis, Alan and the rest of the clan! Welcome to the world, Timothy!
