DDA Chapter 15

It seems the sickies have found me this morning. I am quite liking the potty :sick: I tried to nap, with no success as I was shivering. I did take a no potty pill so hopefully that will completely cure me before the Turkey even hits the table :hug:

I hope that the rest of the DDA and their families are feeling much better this morning.

I am sorry to hear you are not feeling well, Deb. Hopefully it will go away soon.:hug:

My cold is much better today but I have been up all night in the bathroom too. I woke up at 2:30 with horrible stomach cramps and now I am quite liking the potty a lot too (loved that description). We had dinner last night at Cheeseburger in Paradise, but I had the same thing to eat that Kristin did, so I don't think it was that. I also don't think it could have been the one glass of sangria that I had either. I am glad it is just the 3 of us for Thanksgiving dinner today and that we went with a small turkey breast and small spiral ham. We don't really have to think about cooking until later on this afternoon.

I can't use my Airtran discount codes, so if anyone wants them, PM me. The can't be used on a standing ressie.

I have them too and would be willing to share. I can't use them either. PM me, please.

GOOD MORNING, DDA!

My turkey is cooked and it looks pretty good if I do say so myself. The muffins are in the oven. I guess I should get myself ready now.

Does anyone know of any promo codes or advance ticket codes for Disney on Ice. Mickey and Minnie's Magical... will be in our area in January, but the Disney site is asking for codes to view tickets :confused3

* ZXA
* FUN
* WISH
* MAGIC

These are from Mouse savers dot com, they also have other information as well.

Growing up our stockings and Santa gifts were not wrapped. Everything else was from our parents and were wrapped and put under the tree as soon as the tree was put up. It was fun do imagine what was in each present. My Grandparents always wrapped early and put the presents under their tree too :love:

We do the same thing here, except we have to leave room for the cat to get under the tree. He loves to lay under our tree. He doesn't mess with it, just lays there. Maybe he's pretending he's a wildcat stocking prey in the forest :confused3 :rotfl2:

My presents growing up were all wrapped (except stockings) and usually put under Christmas Eve because my mom hated the fact I could guess what was in the package:rotfl2:

In our house most packages have been wrapped (an over the bed tent and castle are the ones I can think of that weren't) and don't have tags on them so nobody knows who's is who's until Christmas morning. :rolleyes1

Our cat MAKES the room under the tree for herself.:rotfl2: She doesn't mess with the tree either, I think she just likes the sights but maybe she is like yours Deb!!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING MY DDA FAMILY!!

When I count my blessings it instantly grows exponentially when I reach the DDA:lovestruc :lovestruc

Becky my hands are the same, and they got so bad I resorted to putting antibiotic cream on the worst cracks.

Thanks Elin I'll give it a try. Becky if this doesn't work my sister is liking the Vaseline Clinical Therapy.

Becky - have you tried Eucerin for your hands? I have a student who swears by it.

Hope all who are sick feel better soon. :wizard: :wizard:

Especially the 2 who are spending Thanksgiving morning in the bathroom.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING DDA

Thank you to everyone here who makes life a little more fun. This has been the best three years of my life knowing everyone here. :goodvibes :goodvibes

Let's see if I can catch up from yesterday:

Debbie-I hope your day is easy today, I hope little miss not so petty thief comes in so she can be fired. :wizard: that your daughter listens and the rest of her pregnancy is long and uneventful.

Deb-I am sorry that you are ill and liking the potty a little too much. I had the same problem last night but I am pretty sure I have figured out it's a reaction to shellfish. One of my volunteer/friends took me to lunch to a lovely seafood restaurant and I had the most amazing shrimp pasta dish. Almost exactly 3 hours later I was running down the hall WAY more than I usually do.

Elin-I am glad your cold is better but your visits to the potty don't sound good either.

Tammi-I hope your turkey time with your kids was special yesterday.:lovestruc

Jennifer-I hope the 12 hours you work today go fast and Jeff got home at a decent time last night.

Jennifer-those babies are the most precious things ever:love:

Elizabeth-I hope your day goes well today...it didn't sound like DH had too bad of a night last night. I asked Jim to put a turkey that I got last week into the freezer. Last night he told me "I need to put that turkey in the freezer":headache: He can't....it can't be refrozen...guess I am cooking a turkey sometime this weekend (unless we can figure out how to teleport this one to you:cool2: ). I am sorry your bosses plans were disrupted, poor Princess is old enough to understand but not really.

Heidi-I hope you feel better quickly. How smart of you to nip it in the bud with the dr.

A lot of our DDA family is travelling....safe travel prayers for them and for family who are travelling to them.

Becky, I bought my mom a tube of "Lay it on Thick" from Bath & Body. It takes awhile to soak in, but after it does it feels very nice. She has a lot of trouble with severely dry hands. I also figure she can use it as body cream when she starts radiation.

Thanks Elin I'll give it a try. Becky if this doesn't work my sister is liking the Vaseline Clinical Therapy.

We have to use Aveeno (smell allergy) and since starting with that Abi's hands have never ever gotten as bad as they did before.

I have used Eucerin for years and when my hands need a little extra care, I put a little extra on at night and then wear gloves. I also put a lot on my feet and wear socks at night. Takes two days but my hands and feet feel great after that.

Theresa - Princess was so excited to be going to MiMi's house for turkey and pie. She had it all planned out. Hopefully my bosses came up with an alternate plan to take her mind off of not "going to Thanksgiving". She actually started to cry yesterday when I told her it was Wednesday. She thought that somehow made it NOT Thanksgiving. (Which it wasn't, it was Wednesday, but 2 year old logic is strange.) :rotfl2:
