Sorry to be Debbie Downer. I am trying so hard to just focus on the 12 days!! But even that is not working.

I cheated and bought dinner. We rarely go out to eat and I got an email from Pizza Hut. If you place your order online you get 75 free MP3 tunes. Since I'm planning to upgrade the boys MP3 players for Christmas this will give them a nice start with the music. We had the Chicken Alfredo and a pepperoni pizza. It was delicious, though certainly not weight watchers friendly. Thankfully we have done very well since Wednesday so we had some extra points Hopefully it won't set us back.

While I was out I got my hands on a hard copy of Kohl's add. Now I can start my Black Friday lists

Thank you. I took some Excedrin Migraine, and it helped my head and my shoulder so I've cleaned out some, done laundry, and put out just a few Christmas things. I hope to do more in a little while, as Jake is home from the birthday party he went to.

Elizabeth -- were you looking for Guitar Hero World Tour? It looks like I have an extra one if you need one. I picked up one for my SIL but she's decided she doesn't want her boys to have it. Her middle child cussed like a sailor last weekend, so I'm not sure why she thinks if they don't have the songs at the house that they won't know/say the bad words but whatever. I guess I'm just a bad mom.

OK -- Jake is offering to help so off I go!

Another busy day! I went shopping with my brother's girlfriend to get my brother a present (camera). Then i wnet out for the dallas game and then out to dinner..im home and baking for work and i am exhausted! I cant believe that i leave wednesday!

Tomorrow is one yaer since grandpa passeda way so we will be trying to keep grandma busy

Man, why is Wii and WiiFit so danged fun! I've never wanted a game system before, but this is too fun. I told Kristi she needed to show me how to work that and the treadmill so I could come over and use them regularly. She declared that she was going to start charging if people kept saying that. I told her that it was called childcare.

It has me wondering, Stephanie, how are your family wagers going with the Miis?

So the kids and I were watching the American Music Awards. I think we have a 2nd generation NKOTB fan. Although Alyssa did state "they aren't kids!"

I baked 2 pumpkin pies today and put them in the freezer in Ziploc freezer bags. I hope they hold up well.

My mother is going to buy me an external hard drive for Christmas. I want something to back up all of our photos on. Is there a difference between portable and external other than the physical size? How many GB or TB would I need? I am a techie wannabe

Yesterday while we were out we found Sing Star for our PS2 with 2 mic's for $12....you gotta believe we picked it up. I have two of the pieces for the tree stand....now to find the elusive 3rd...because we don't have room for the bigger little tree up too.

Hi all! and for all in need!

I've been pretty busy this weekend. This is what I did most of Saturday. I have a huge to do list and did not of that in favor of this. I just had the "need" to make this. I can honestly say most things I spend a lot of time I hate for a while but I really love this and so does Emma. I still need to make some sort of button closure as it is a bit big in the shoulders. She's anxious to wear it so I better hurry up.

I asked Lizzy if I could make her an all Pooh one (we'll be at Disney in January) and she said no. Do you think she'd be seen with me if I make one for me. Poor Joe wants one. Maybe I should make him a quilt for his bed.

Then Joe told me he wanted to make pillow cases for Emma & Lizzy for Christmas so we went to pick out fabric. He sat in front of me and pressed the foot pedal while I tried to see over his head and guide the fabric. He is SOOOOO excited that he sewed these. Emma will flip out when she sees the fabric he chose for her.

Marci - Is it for Wii? I am not sure what we want. I know DS wants Wii Fit, he decided not to get Wii Music, not sure where we stand on anything else. I suspect DS will want Rock Band so he can do drums instead of Guitar Hero, but I will ask him.
DH took him to Guitar Center today so he could play with the floor model drum sets. We are NOT buying a drum set. We are also not buying a big set of electronic drum pads.

Wow that top is amazing. Is it sewed to a sweatshirt? Did you have to fray stop all the edges?

Thanks! Yes-used a sweatshirt as that base-you go up a size or 2. I cut open the side seams and sleeves before doing the patchwork and quilting-then sewed it back up. I zig zagged the edges of all the patches. I think some fraying is supposed to add "charm" to the garment. You're supposed to start with unwashed fabrics and sweatshirt but I had already washed all the fabrics. I have washed it once and it didn't fray too much but washing does make the quilting pop a bit more.
