Good morning, DDA! :sunny:

I did! The first time I was out I was gone for 5 1/2 hours and spent a long time just walking around the mall since it had been ages since I had last been there. I got a couple of shirts and a jacket on sale. Then I went to Michael's to look around and although I found tons of things I liked, when all was said and done, I came away with just some awesome ribbon for the wreaths on the doors at POFQ. It is very Mardi Gras-like!

Kristin and I went out later this afternoon/early evening and just walked around a few shops and then stopped at KFC for chicken. Another place we had not been to in a while. So, like Marci... no cooking tonight!

Sounds like you had a very good day & no cooking makes it even better!

Well it's officially over, we're in Tallahassee and Im waiting for DH to wake up so we can head home. I didn't realize how tired I was until we hit the road yesterday, I kept nodding off no matter how hard I tried not to.

Sorry I missed your birthday Jennifer, hope you had a great one.

Have a safe drive home Debbie!

So today was supposed to be my house party...but I woke up with a headache and it never went away...thankfully the one guest I knew for sure was coming called and said she had a headache also. We were running out trying to figure out what still needed to be done...instead I called my other friend and she said "good, we couldn't stay long anyway" and we've been chilling out deciding where to put our Christmas tree.

We will put the tree up after we get the ice cream we didn't get yesterday because we didn't get out of HSM3 until really late. It's a little strange to put up the Christmas tree before Thanksgiving...but it feels right!!

I hope you're feeling better this morning! Our trees are up, but not decorated. Today, hopefully!

Happy Birthday, Jennifer!! Hope your day was wonderful!!

Thanks! It wasn't half bad. No MIL until today, it turns out. But I still didn't have a decorating day yesterday

Jennifer!!!

Thanks! I'm glad you survived your party :) The pictures you posted of it and the baby were wonderful!

I had a "wish I could forget" incident at work today. I was in the office & an employee came to look at his schedule(he always has some comment to say & I normally let it roll off my back). Today he said the wrong thing & it just tripped my trigger & I went off on him. I was so loud the employees up front as well as the customers heard. I do not feel bad for what I said to the employee, but I do feel bad that everyone else heard me. I should have handle myself better. All I know is that I snapped & I should not have let that happen. If I would have been that employee, I would have walked out.

Today was not one of my most gracious days.

We've all been there, Janet! :flower3:

scraplifting!!! Happy Birthday Jennifer!

Thanks!

Wow, what a day. I don't even know where to start :confused3 We left here at 1 PM for the concert. Traffic was horrible and we got to the concert parking with 5 minutes to spare. While walking in I looked down and saw an object on the ground. It looked like a clear bouncy ball with something in it. I picked it up and it was a clear oval shaped ball with an angel in it :confused3 Very strange considering where it was, but I stuck it in my purse and moved on. The concert was pretty crappy. It was in a metal building with very very poor acustics. You couldn't make out a single word. The concert was Rick Derringer (Hang on Sloopy) and the Lovin' Spoonfull's (What a day of a daydream and Nashville Cats). Oh well, it was for a good cause and it was something different. We left the concert a bit early and headed to the mall. We ate and did a bit of shopping though not much. Then we headed to Christmas tree shop. We found some cute things for teacher's gifts and I even gave Elin a call as we found little animal ornaments (Elin I do have a package slip for the post office). We hit a couple more stores then headed home. We picked up my car at Chris' work around 11 PM. I waited at an intersection for the green light, then proceeded. A truck came out of nowhere and nearly hit me broadside. I think he may have stopped 2 feet from me. Of course he laid on the horn. Chris and the kids were behind me and saw the whole thing. The guy in the pickup truck ran the red light and Chris said that he had to be going at least 40 MPH before he finally hit the brakes. He had run the red light, not me. Needless to say we were all shaken up. Now I'm wondering if that object I found was from a guardian angel? :confused3 or just a coincidence. I suppose I will never actually know, but it is small enough that it will stay in my purse from now on. It can't hurt can it. So when you all say your prayers tonight be sure to give God a great big thank you from me and my family

I'm so glad you're ok! How are the kids (from seeing it)?

So you apologize for being unprofessional and move on.

After I got home from work tonight I received a call from Target for an interview. I am just looking for something part time & I doubt anything will become of it beings my hours of availability are so limited.

Anyway my question is should I tell about my trip coming up in a couple of weeks during the interview or wait to see if they hire me? I am not sure what is the proper way to handle this.

I would wait and see what happens in the first interview.

Anyone else order this new magazine:

http://www.celebrationspress.com/

I received my 1st issue a few of days ago & it looks to be a very good one! I have not read anything in it yet as I am saving it for my flight in a couple of weeks(if I can hold out that long lol).

I think I have heard it mentioned on other threads but I haven't ever seen a copy. Let us know what you think!

has anybody heard of seniorhelpers.com ? That's the company I have the interview for on Thursday. It looks like it's a franchise so obviously the people would be different to work for but I was just wondering about the group's reputation.

Sorry, haven't heard of them.

Yes you did have a guardian angel tonight :goodvibes Glad you are ok Deb

Deb, I am glad you guys weren't in a crash!

Debbie, sorry the trip has come to an end. :guilty: Time to plan the next one!

I feel completely fog-brained. Princess coughed herself awake at 4 AM, so I had to get up and go get her settled again. I never sleep well in a strange bed, and this morning my back feels a little iffy. Not as bad as after I slept in Diva's bed, but not good. There isn't any half & half so I am having tea. I think my bosses will be home around noon, so I will go home and take a nap!

Actually Bob and I don't pay full price for a membership...we split it with another couple. Myself and her husband are on a membership together (Sams allows a second person free on their basic membership) and we split the annual cost that way, and sometimes we all go in on a meat order together. I don't really go for bulk shopping per say...maybe for pantry stuff, like cereals, coffee, popcorn...they also sell electronics, toys, Christmas supplies at the holidays and the prices are great on those.
So it's works for me!

Now that I'm in Lansing 1/2 time, I need to consider a membership. I was on as an employee for a company I used to do work for. I saved a lot of money on Christmas shopping, etc. at that time. However, the closest store to me is 2 hours away and I didn't get there enough to warrant my own membership when I was removed from the account.

Good Morning!!

We will put the tree up today(it always takes us awhile to do things) and laundry. Why the heck am I the only one who can possibly do laundry??

Deb-I am glad that it was a close call and your angels were working overtime.

Debbie-I am sorry your time at our favorite place is done. I hope it was all you needed it to be.

Happy Birthday, Vicki!!
Hope your day is NOT filled with work!:goodvibes

pictures, please! :goodvibes

If I can find the stand for the little tree....how the heck does a custom stand not make it back into the tree's box??:confused3

Or maybe it will be our bigger little tree....either way I will make sure you see pictures!!

The kids weren't looking up at the time. Chris hit his breaks and they heard the horn, but thankfully they didn't witness the closest part of it :worship: They were all hugs when we got home, but no mention of it so far this morning.

Jennifer (Bear) take a look at Overstock. They have some pretty decent prices on camcorders. :thumbsup2

Elizabeth - although we gave gifts in elementary school we never gave anything to middle school and high school teachers.

Neither did we unless the girls had a really special teacher that they wanted to give something to. There is no way that I would get something for everyone of the middle school and high school teachers.
