DDA Chapter 14

so instead of somebody coming in...I got called in to the big man's office and got reamed for some things. I will own up to one of them as bad judgement but the rest are stupid little things that I get to be brought up in front of SPRC for:headache:  I need to decide if I just hand them my resignation at that time or wait until I've got a job.

I also decided to tell the girls about the divorce tonight...I figured might as well get it ALL out. I am a glutton for punishment.

 There have to be better days ahead for you! pixiedust:

:wizard:  :grouphug: :wizard:  :grouphug: I pray that all goes well for mother and baby.

Nick conference went well although we did not like the style of it. It is student run so basically Nick showed us some of his papers/tests and explained what is was on. His advisor was there, but really didn't participate. No teachers were there so the issues we discussed will probably never be heard unless I go in and talk directly to them  Nick was super disappointed as he got all A's except one B+. We are proud of him, but he is disappointed in himself. A writing sample was turned in for Language Arts and he got a B on it. There are absolutely no comments on any of the writing so he's not sure where he went wrong or what he can improve on. The advisor said that he needs to learn to take the iniative to ask for clarification. He is getting As on everything in math so we think that he needs to be more challenged, but again they want him to talk to the teacher. Nick is my shy reserved child and he isn't comfortable going to his teachers so his goal for this quarter is to work on that. He has already said that he doesn't want to go to school on Monday since there is an awards ceremony in the morning. :headache:

That sounds like a silly way to run a "conference." My kids can come home and tell me about their papers. If I'm going into the school, I expect to be able to talk to the teachers. Great job, Nick!

My kids got their school pictures back today. Pay no attention to Alyssa's horrible chapped lips. She has this bizarre need to lick her lips all the way down to her chin. They get cherry red in the winter because of the cold. I put neosporin on them at night and give her chapstick for the day, but I don't think she applies it very often. I'm not real sure I'm thrilled with the casual-type pose they did this year either.

Beautiful kids! I like the more casual poses. We have Lifetouch in the elementary school here, and I don't think that they do a great job overall.

I forgot to mention that I am still in the running for the Post Office job. I got an email asking for more information as they need to to a background check. I need to fax them a form so hopefully I can do that from the office at school. At some point I'll have to have a drug test. No worries there :rotfl: :rotfl:

Sounds promising, good luck!

This is awesome, wish I was that lucky, but I did find a job for the time being at a local high end supermarket. It's not much but does have good benefits and allows me to stop sucking off the government for a little while until that "dream" job comes along.

On a much more exciting note, my daughter's birthday card was just featured on Sprout TV. She is going to be so excited:happytv: , glad we have Tivo!

Greats news about the job Mac!

What is Sprout TV?

:wizard::wizard: for Kathrin for the job.

:wizard: :wizard: for Deb for the job.

:wizard: :wizard: for baby Buzz.

:wizard: :wizard: that Mac finds his dream job soon. But in the meantime yeah for the job you just got.

:wizard:  :wizard:  for Theresa.

I'd rather not have to do that because Great Wolf isn't right around the corner - it is kind of a haul. With the exception of one, all of the moms work so asking for help in the middle of the day on Friday would present a problem. It would be best if DH and I could just gather up the boys from school and take them to Great Wolf, then drop them off at home or have the parents pick them up from our house Saturday. I guess I'll see what DH says about trying to get those days off.

Hope you can get it all worked out Elizabeth!

Nicholas was supposed to go to George Washington's Mt. Vernon home today on a field trip, but it's been postponed due to the weather, and rescheduled for Tuesday. Mt. Vernon is just a few miles from where I work so I had cleared my schedule for several hours so I could meet them there. I think Tuesday's schedule is going to be impossible to clear. :(

That stinks!

:wizard: :wizard: for Elizabeth, that she can work out picking up DS today. And for figuring out the birthday transportation.

I am back and I have a new nephew. Baby Buzz, no official name as of yet, was born at 9:59am and weighed in at 7lbs 1.6ozs. He was 19inches long. When I left the hospital, he was having a bit of trouble breathing. It wasn't nothing major as his color looked good but he was slow in response. Any additional good thoughts you have I'd appreciate just a bit more. Thanks.

I will upload pics sometime tonight, but I need to get some sleep. 20 minutes since waking up yesterday just doesn't cut it.

And guess what I found out this morning...that meeting we had to be at last night ended up being for nothing. Turns out that based on our meeting place we are in a different unit. So now we have to meet with the new manager and go from there, but we our official and we have a troop #!! :yay: :yay: :yay:

Congratulations on the birth of your nephew! :wizard: for his breathing to return to normal

Yea on being official with a troop number :cool1:

Now get some well deserved sleep, look forward to pictures tonight!

Good Morning All!!

I am wearing my new dress for a new day....I am turning in my resignation today, my last day WILL be the day before Thanksgiving. We are going to celebrate at Cheeburger Cheeburger for supper.

I didn't sleep very well last night....I am nervous as I have never stepped out on faith quite like this before.

YOU CAN DO IT, YOU CAN DO IT, YOU CAN, YOU CAN  :cheer2:

Seriously, you can do it.

What is Sprout TV?
It's a subscription channel that plays 24 hour PBS kids programs. I wish we had it for Princess.

Hope you can get it all worked out Elizabeth!

Thanks!

Thanks! The birthday party may just have to be a day OTHER than his actual birthday.

It's from PBS...

Sprout Online

They feature shows like Cailou, Noddy, Thomas the Tank, Kipper and many more. In the evenings it's really nice to settle down with. They also teach a project and some sign language. We have it on DirecTV.
