One of the families from ballet is going to WDW in January. Which mod is it with the queen size beds? Is it Coronado? I get confused since "CBR" and "CSR" look so similar when I skim posts. Since we have never stayed mod I don't pay very close attention, but I need to make sure I am telling her accurate info.

Coronado Springs is finishing up their rehab now and they do have queens!

I forgot to mention that I am still in the running for the Post Office job. I got an email asking for more information as they need to to a background check. I need to fax them a form so hopefully I can do that from the office at school. At some point I'll have to have a drug test. No worries there :rotfl: :rotfl:

that is great news, Deb!

I just got off the phone with Kathrin. It looks very good (in my opinion) for this job at The Princeton Review. The position is down to Kathrin and one other writer. This morning she had sessions with 3 of the 4 people who wanted to meet with her. They were all very complimentary and told her that her writing style was exemplary that and her background in higher education marketing was something they hadn't expected to see come across their desks. In fact, they had not adequately (again, my opinion) checked into her work at Royall & Co. or they would have known she was doing this very thing for over three years before moving to Boston! After she got into the conversation with the head of internet marketing he realized what she really knew. He was blown away! He told her that she could walk into the position right now and take over half of his work without any training. And that is exactly what they were looking for.

The one person who she really needed to meet with was called away to a board meeting late last night and could not be there in time for the 10:00 appointment they had set. So, they asked if she was willing to do a short telephone interview with the "potential boss" if they felt it was something they needed to have on file.

I don't want to get my hopes up (and neither does she) but it certainly sounded like they are very taken with her. They also promised to let her know within 2 business days.... which means by tomorrow.

Keep sending that PD, please!

This is awesome, wish I was that lucky, but I did find a job for the time being at a local high end supermarket. It's not much but does have good benefits and allows me to stop sucking off the government for a little while until that "dream" job comes along.

On a much more exciting note, my daughter's birthday card was just featured on Sprout TV. She is going to be so excited:happytv: , glad we have Tivo!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MYA!

Elin - Lots of :wizard: :wizard: for Kathrin!!

Thanks, Elizabeth!

Mac, I am so glad you found something to occupy the time while you continue to look for that elusive perfect match. :thumbsup2

And I bet Mya will be so excited to see her card! :yay:

:wizard: :wizard: I bet you are both a little sick to your stomachs having to wait, I know I would be :wizard:

Mac I'm glad that you found something to hold you over until the perfect job comes along. It certainly is a struggle in this economy to find the perfect job as jobs are so hard to come by.

Mac - Glad you found something to help you pass the time until you find a more suitable job! :)

Hmm. I just realized that DS's actual birthday is on a Friday, and it is an early release day. That would be the PERFECT night to go to Great Wolf! :thumbsup2 We would actually save $60 going that Friday instead of Friday or Saturday of the week before or after. BUT...it's the Friday before Super Bowl. :guilty: There is NO WAY DH will be able to take that Fri & Sat off. I could handle the boys by myself, but we need both cars to transport them. Crap. I will have to talk to DH about it later today. I guess he could try to bid for vacation that week, but I don't know if he would want to do that.

I'd ask one of the other mom's to help with transportation and or supervision. It really shouldn't be a big deal

Oh, dear.
I just got an e-mail about a "project" they are doing at school called "Mix It Up". This will NOT please DS. :sad2:
The kids are being given different colored wristbands and they have to sit with other people wearing that color band today at lunch. It is designed to force them away from their usual groups. I get the intent, I really do, but I think it is a HORRIBLE idea.
DS is very set in his ways, he doesn't like change or surprises (he is like me that way). He likes his routine, he likes to know what is coming next, and he likes his one particular group of friends.
I know, it is just for one day, won't kill him, whatever. But it will throw off his groove and that means his afternoon classes will be all wonky. It also means he will be in a snarky mood after school. Since I don't even know what time he is supposed to be picked up, or who will be there to get him, I am not very happy that they chose TODAY for this little experiment.

I'd rather not have to do that because Great Wolf isn't right around the corner - it is kind of a haul. With the exception of one, all of the moms work so asking for help in the middle of the day on Friday would present a problem. It would be best if DH and I could just gather up the boys from school and take them to Great Wolf, then drop them off at home or have the parents pick them up from our house Saturday. I guess I'll see what DH says about trying to get those days off.

Just don't eat poppy seeds prior to it! ;)

I am back and I have a new nephew. Baby Buzz, no official name as of yet, was born at 9:59am and weighed in at 7lbs 1.6ozs. He was 19inches long. When I left the hospital, he was having a bit of trouble breathing. It wasn't nothing major as his color looked good but he was slow in response. Any additional good thoughts you have I'd appreciate just a bit more. Thanks.

I will upload pics sometime tonight, but I need to get some sleep. 20 minutes since waking up yesterday just doesn't cut it.

And guess what I found out this morning...that meeting we had to be at last night ended up being for nothing. Turns out that based on our meeting place we are in a different unit. So now we have to meet with the new manager and go from there, but we our official and we have a troop #!! :yay: :yay: :yay:

:rotfl: :rotfl: Thankfully I don't like poppy seeds:rotfl: :rotfl:

WooHoo on both accounts. I can't wait to see pictures :goodvibes

Good idea. Or one of or both uncles? :confused3

Uncle2 is horrendously busy at work that time of year, and may very well be out of town. He missed a lot of DS's parties over the years because of his schedule. Uncle1 drives a Mini Cooper - not sure how many boys would fit in there! :rotfl2: Uncle 1 has a little bit more flexibility in his schedule, but I don't know if 1 PM on a Friday would be possible for him.

Welcome, Baby Buzz!! :goodvibes I am sure they will get his respiratory issues sorted out and he will be fine!
I am glad things are progressing with your troop! Sorry you wasted your time last night!
