I love teasing you about this but I'm actually envious. I tend to let people walk over me and thank them for doing it. You make sure that you get what you paid for without being belligerant just because you want something.

The older I get, the less tolerant I am of things. You should give it a try! :thumbsup2

:wizard: That Mary does not have strep and that the whole family stays Healthy for Peanuts sake as well as theirs.

I hope Mary feels better soon! :wizard:

I ened up having a cavity :sad2: I am not getting it filled until after the first of the year since I have no idea what my schedule will be like the next few months.

Ouch! I hope you can get through the next couple of months without it bothering you! :wizard:

Finally!!!

I am getting somewhere. I have a meeting set up next Thursday with the woman from the council but also finally got the number for the local director and hope I can get something set up sooner.

Yay for progress!

I do NOT have any e-mails from WDW. All I have is an e-mail from DS's language arts teacher saying he is damn near failing because his classwork grade is so low. :headache: He has 2 assignments that are flat out missing so they are "0"s, and some really low grades on other work because he was careless and turned them in without finishing. Yet they don't think the ADD has any impact on his classroom performance? Whatever. :sad2:
I know I have a hard time keeping up with all the little piddly stuff he is supposed to keep track of, so I am sure it is really hard for him. But the low average is on CLASSWORK. I can't help him with that, and they took away his guaranteed modifications. Not good. NOT GOOD.

Oh no, not good. I hope you can get it figured out.

Thanks again for your take on everything. :goodvibes

This is the one I got. I just can't make it work since we own DVC...

Ahh, yeah see I saw this one. I want a pin code for free dining and an extra trip! :rotfl:

Well, my child is a dingbat. I don't mean that in a bad way. He is flighty, he loses things, he turns in work without finishing it. He needs more micromanagement than they are willing to give him, so his grades are tanking.
You are welcome. :thumbsup2

Well, despite owning DVC I think I could make it work, especially since I just got an e-mail for $151 airfare! But did they send ME a special offer? NOOOO! They sent me some stupid crap newsletter with the general public discounts in it.

I guess in my mind, I feel like I have the room paid for...and we either buy the ddp or not, so whatever the cost of food...

but it would seem for us to go on this deal X5....would be more than just staying in dvc and paying oop for the food...

My Southwest flight prices dropped again!!!

I now have a credit for $2 (that if anyone plans on buying a SWA flight let me know, I'm giving this one away.) and also one for $45 that has to be used by 6/26/09. I really doubt I'm flying SWA anytime soon, so if these can be used, let me know.

Now I wish I hadn't booked Kristin's airfare yet!

Thanks to everyone for posting the Veteran's Day reminders. My dad was in Vietnam and it has haunted him ever since. They certainly give a lot for our freedom.

One of my first bosses was a former Marine Drill Sargeant during the Korean War. He was very gruff on the outside. I'd walk in the door 10 minutes early and he'd huff "about time you got here". Most people were afraid of him. He actually was one of the biggest teddy bears you ever met. He didn't talk much about his experiences but shared a couple of stories over the years we worked together. He always had a slight cold (sniffle). He explained it was because he had night sweats every night because of his horrible dreams. He talked about training guys and how he had to be tough on them because otherwise they wouldn't survive when they got over to the action. It really tore him up that he couldn't show them a softer side EVER!

It is amazing & unbelievable what these wonderful men & women have given to their countries.

We used all of our points for the August trip, and I am not buying new APs until August because they need to cover '09 and '10. IF we do an extra trip next year I need the whole package. BUT they didn't send me a code, so I guess I will NOT be returning to WDW until next August. Their loss.

I need to change my ticker now...

But it will have to wait until tonight. I have to go to work! See you all later!

My dad's entire unit was hit, he and one other guy were the only ones to survive. He was saved by a foot locker. I am grateful otherwise I wouldn't be here.

One of the little boys my mom used to babysit for when I was little committed suicide after his return home from Afghanistan. He was about to be deployed back over there and didn't want to go. He was 18. :sad1:

It saddens me that there is very little help for them once they come back home.

I forgot how tedious it is to speak to CRO....I am used to member services at DVC...

for us to go in June at the Poly for nine nights, it prices out at $5700. So I still can't make that work in my mind

How sad! :sad2:

My grandfather and my father were in the Air Force. My father was just on active duty for 2 years, then he was done. He never saw any combat. Don't know about my grandfather. :confused3
FIL was in WWII, and he did see combat. Unfortunately, I didn't really get to know him very well so I don't know his stories. He liked to tell about the young kids in the UK who would ask the soldiers "Have any gum, chum?"

Well, unfortunately, it is strep throat. Luckily, we caught it pretty early, so hopefully, the antibiotics will kick in and no one else will catch it. Knock on wood!

We've got the first dose of medicine in her, and she's resting comfortably on the couch while I disinfect the house.

I am afraid, however, that Leslie will come down with it, too. They've been sharing a bed lately, due to nightmare issues. Still, hopefully, it won't be too bad.

I'll keep Mary home from school tomorrow, and send her back once she's been on the medicine for over 24 hours.

Glynis - I hope Mary feels better soon, and I hope the strep doesn't run through your family! :wizard:

Today I have gotten e-mails from the airlines, the rental car companies, and I just got one from the airport parking facility. But did WDW bother to send me any e-mails today? NO! I guess I should park at the airport, fly to Orlando, rent a car, and go somewhere OTHER than WDW!

Elin :woohoo: on the airfare!

Glynis I do hope no one else gets the strep throat! :wizard: for you all

Kristine I see you have a new ticker :thumbsup2

Elizabeth you are not alone, no codes for us! I'm sure something good will come out for August ::yes::

I don't need one for August, but I hope the rest of the August DDAers get some great deals!

Really, without a really incredible offer there is no way I would go before August, so they are doing me a favor.

I need to go to the grocery store. DS should be calling in 15 minutes, so I will go after that. Princess took a crummy nap so she is already up.
