Good morning DDA! Have a great day! I'll be in Lansing for the week-end. Becky is coming down from school to spend the night. We'll do dinner and do some shopping - maybe catch a movie. I'm excited about that. I had to get up early to get some work done.

FLORIDA - A WINEDOGGYBAG STATE - Endorsed by Florida Restaurant and Lodging Association
Section 564.09 of the Florida statutes provides that a restaurant licensed to sell wine may permit a patron to remove one unsealed bottle of wine if (i) the patron consumed a portion of the wine with the purchase of a full meal, (ii) the restaurant securely reseals the bottle, (iii) the bottle is placed in a bag that is secured in a manner that is visibly apparent if the bag has been opened and (iv) a dated receipt for the wine and meal is available.

ILLINOIS - A WINEDOGGYBAG STATE
SB 0946 allows a patron to remove an unfinished bottle of wine from a restaurant if the unfinished bottle is placed in a transparent, one time use tamper proof bag.

MARYLAND - The use of a Wine Doggy Bag is recommended
House Bill 517 (Senate Bill 280) allows a patron to remove a partially consumed bottle of wine. Check for specific regulations for Montgomery County and other local authorities.

PENNSYLVANIA - The use of a Wine Doggy Bag is recommended
Act 59 of 2003 allows a patron, in conjunction with a meal, to remove the unfinished portion of the bottle of wine from a hotel or restaurant.The hotel or restaurant must reseal the bottle. Resealing is not defined.

VIRGINIA
The ABC tells us that Regulation 3 VAC 5-40-30 allows a patron of a restaurant licensed to sell wine for on premises consumption to remove a partially consumed bottle of wine as long as the bottle is re-corked.

Ok I think I have calmed down now. I am just going to keep the August trip & Oct as is. Getting one more trip on that AP just sent me over the edge though. I asked the kids what they would rather do 7 nights at Poly in spring or 12 nights at AS Suites in August & they all voted for August which is cool with me. Hopefully there will be some great deal in the summer.

Yesterday I was pricing tickets for our trip next month and figured that the Undercover Tourist prices through Mary's Mousesavers newsletter would probably be the best I could find. However I decided to check the prices through the AAA website. (This is probably not news to Chanon... )

Anyway, they no longer sell them directly but link you to WDW's site. The prices are different, however, and they beat UCT by about $3-4 per ticket. There is a will-call option too, so no S&H (UCT does not charge S&H either, so that is not an issue). I have done will-call at DL before but not at WDW. I think I may try that for our tickets this time. Seems like an easy way to make certain the tickets are with us. Has anyone does will-call for regular tickets?

ETA: DUH!! I forgot that the WDW site doesn't have the taxes added in, so forget that! Back to UCT...

So to compound Katie's misgivings about the impending move, she came home in tears yesterday. She hurt her arm at the cheerleading tryouts & did not perform as well as she wanted. Last night we found out she did not make the cheer team that she has been practicing for weeks for. I felt so bad for her. This has been a very crappy week for my baby.

Unless there is a huge change in travel I think there will be, Anne Marie. Disney's tourism was down considerably and their quarterly profits showed it. They need to jump-start attendance, I think!

Joe & Emma want all stuff that isn't available (like does NOT exist) but Santa can do anything.

DS had a year like that. He was asking for all sorts of things he saw in vintage comic book ads or something - it was NOT GOOD. I can't remember what we did get for him - he was happy - but he was SURE Santa could get all of the things he wanted.

I wouldn't sacrifice 5 nights for ANYTHING. But that's just me.

Evidently they are getting ready to overhaul the Disney Rewards Visa. I got an index card in the mail from them, asking if I would participate in an online survey and then they would send me $20. Of course I did. They had questions regarding a Delux Disney Reward Card, with a high annual fee, but then the extras of it were things like 4% pts on purchases, a free 2nd airline ticket, extra perks at WDW (like a VIP lounge in the park with free internet and soft drinks), free refillable mugs, one child free at things like Wonderland Tea Party. But along with the high annual fee, once you paid it you got x amt of pts. I think the highest example of annual fee they gave was $350, but when you paid it you got 300 pts. For me, this would be great. I use my Disney Visa for EVERYTHING that I can. I got enough pts on there from just this year to pay for my DDP this trip for the kids and myself, with some money left over for souvenirs.

Choke, choke. $350 annual fee? I would have to read the fine print very carefully before I would consider that. Did it mention APR?

This is a very weird time of year for try-outs. DS's school already has all of their cheerleaders. When would she have started cheering?
Hopefully she will manage to pull out of her funk. Can you find a couple of hours for the 2 of you to go have lunch or a pedicure or something?

Anne Marie -- I'm so sorry.

It's beautiful here again today. Clear and brisk this morning, warming up to 70ish. Randy has been working late the past few weeks, and will probably work all weekend. My Saturday just became very busy, as I'll have to get the boys to baseball lessons by 8, then haircuts, then Jake's last soccer game. I was going to run errands but that's in Dallas and I don't know that I want to drag the boys around with me doing that. What to do, what to do...

I have a feeling with my current apathy it will be nothing! I have been doing better on my diet, so that's positive. Maybe I can get some long walks in this weekend, if nothing else.

Wish I could bottle up some of Peanut's movement and send it along. He's the most active baby I've had! Alan and I just love to watch my stomach roll and pitch. Mary thinks it's magical, and spends a lot of time with her mouth to my belly, talking to him. He recognizes her voice, too, as he really starts to jump around! I wouldn't think there was enough room for him to move as much as he does, but he manages!
