Rant ahead....

If one more %*#@&*#$ person comes to my door telling me I need to vote or hanging a map of my polling place on my door or asking me who I am voting for or calls the house to tell me how important it is to vote I may go out and buy a gun!

Have a good day! :teeth:

I am so glad that we haven't had to deal with that!

A few pictures of the lines in our area. They are predicting an 80% turnout!

900 of the 3000 registered voters had cast their ballots by 10:30 a.m. here

We feed our cats in the evening. They were more than ready an hour "early" the last two nights.

Because there are four cats, we feed them twice a day. Otherwise they would be up all night wanting food. I cannot just put out a bowl with food cause they would eat it all up in one shot. If I only had one or two, it would work but not with four.

We have two very fat cats that are always, always, always hungry. I don't know what their problem is. They get 1/2 c. of food each per day which should certainly not keep them as "well-fed" as they are. I don't know how much they would eat if they were allowed to free feed or how much they would weigh. We used to feed them in the mornings, but they woke us up early, because they wanted food.

Wow! That is busy. See you had almost our entire district vote by 10:30 am.

Elin - Those look like our early voting lines!

We leave food out for our cats around the clock. They only eat dry food. They cruise by and grab a mouthful whenever. Arabella thinks it is important to eat whenever we are in the kitchen. She is weird. If I turn the kitchen light on she runs to the food bowl and starts gobbling it down.

Time to head back to work. Kristin is so excited about tonight. She has dinner planned and will have it ready when I walk in the door at 9:00. She plans to be glued to the TV at that point. :goodvibes:

Well, I can rest easy now. McCain just said Todd Palin has won 4 major snowmobile races so he is ready for Washington! :thumbsup2
That is SO good to know, and so relevant to the campaign! ;)

A friend of mine is hosting a post election party. He has all the party fixin's - cheese and crackers, chips, nachos, sandwiches and beer.

I agree on EVERYTHING you just said.

That doesn't surprise me, we are very much alike :thumbsup2

Our cat Riley is always hungry too. He gets a can of wet food at night and has dry food out all the time. He also gets snacks in the morning if he bugs me enough. He is also spoiled rotten so I buy him the milk that is specially made for cats to digest :rolleyes1 He loves it. I only give him a couple of tablespoons at a time though.

Does McCain realize that DC does not have a place to ride snowmobiles? Maybe he is ready for Washington State :confused3

I hope he has hard liquour too, I think we all need a stiff shot to deal with this election.

With that I'm off to work. Hopefully everyone will be hungry and generous after their stressful task of voting...:lmao:

Took us longer to read the ballot then stand in line to vote.

Even if DC did have a place to ride them, we are still lacking one very important thing. SNOW! Ok, I take that back. Maybe 2 days out of the year he could ride. ;)

I was the only person voting when I got there! I can't imagine waiting in those long lines.

the 2 precincts at my work have had less than 200 people vote between them, I would guess. But they are predominately elderly people who would mail in vote or illegals who can't vote.

We checked our general voice mailbox here at church and there was a robo call from the Catholic Bishop urging "us" to vote for a certain amendment.

Don't buy one, just borrow one. :rolleyes1
