I just thought it was a very odd statement. Why would I give a rat's rear if the VP candidate's husband is a champion snowmobiler? WHAT does that have to do with ANYTHING?

They were talking about assault rifles on the news. Apparently sales are WAY up because people are afraid they might be banned. I asked DH if the only thing you shoot with an assault rifle is a person, and he said yes. But if they ban them it would just be sales of NEW ones, correct? People who already have them would still have them, or they could sell them in a private transaction. And of course the people who really NEED them, like drug smugglers and terrorists, would have them no matter what.

Just because I am tired of the politic talk... you all might remember when AI (Allen Iverson) was traded to the Nuggets about 2 years ago...he ushered in 6 weeks of weekend storms.

He's been a great asset on and off the court.

Anyway he was traded yesterday and we will be getting one of the very few Coloradoans to make it to the big time in return. Chauncey Billups

Now I really want to go to a Nuggets game this season

I don't know much about guns. DH has hunting rifles, but not assault rifles. (Not that he hunts.) DH said an assault rifle holds more rounds of ammo. If you need 50 rounds of ammo to take down whatever you are shooting at then there is a problem!

that's what I told him!! He is now mainly a taxidermist...I just can't imagine what the animal that needs that much ammo to take it down looks like.

DH just got finished voting. He was the ONLY ONE in the entire room! He said the poll workers and the election judge were just standing around! I guess I was right that EVERYBODY went to early voting and now there is nobody left!

Hi!!!! I have new tickers!!!!

We will be in Disney August 9-Aug 21 next summer! Hope to see lots of you!!!!Right now we are booked at All Star Music Family Suites but if a good deal comes along for my Beach Club....

Since Halloween is on a Saturday next year we decided it would be fun to spend it at Disney. I booked CR tower MK view since it's a short trip (5 nights) & our 18th wedding anniversary...we have never stayed there & thought it would be special. October 30-November 4.

DS said his science teacher says he has until Friday to type up his research plan. Great. I have to work late tomorrow and Thursday night, so time is short for the research plan. His math project is due tomorrow, so that will be out of the way. This weekend needs to be devoted to the election notebook. I am SO TIRED of projects!

I spent hours on the phone today...apparently fed ex is trying to charge $1300 on my credit card. The CC rejected it (thankfully) thinking it was fraudulent. I think someone stole my shipping account number
