The one year I actually got the flu shot I had the flu not once, but twice. I swear I'll never get it again :sad2:
I always get the flu shot, and have never had a reaction to it, or gotten sick afterwards. Plus, I've never gotten the flu, KNOCK ON WOOD. Same with both of my kids. KNOCK, KNOCK AGAIN. As a matter of fact, they get their shots tomorrow.

Stephanie- I love the pictures...I wanna stay there!!

Well, tonight was emotionally and physically draining...I literally was shaking so bad I ended up sinking to the ground. I am not sure what the girls heard and didn't hear but I need to worry about that another day. I am off....need to sleep to face my work cohorts too.
:grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

OK, all you moms of little ones... my nephew has discovered the joys of Legos. My brother told me tonight that there are little Lego pieces all over their hardwood floors and they hurt like the devil when they step on them. ;)

Back in the day we had this round canvas play mat that the girls could put their Legos and Duplos on and when the playtime was over you could pull it all up into a sack with the drawstring that ran around the outside perimeter of the mat. Does anyone know if any company makes that kind of thing any more?
Never heard of that thing. And now you know why my kids don't have Legos. Although Nicholas wants some Star Wars ones for Christmas. I figure maybe it won't be so bad since he is older.

Glynis - it's good to see you, welcome home, and great news about Peanut!

Steffy - sounds like you should definitely see the Dr. again, with my lung issues a sinus infection usually turns into bronchitus and even into pnuemonia, and it sounds like you may be headed that way also.

Elizabeth - Congrats on 16,000

Denise - Good to see you too, cute pictures of the kids. DH is a diehard Bama fan and is on cloud nine, but worried about LSU.

Theresa - Hang in there

Elin - feel better soon

We definitely made some good progress today, but I'll be running errands and finishing up in the evenings all week.

I did manage to ruin three shirts trying to use the new stretchable transfers, I'm not sure what went wrong, I used them for our cruise shirts and they were fine.

Don't jinx me! ;) We have LSU this weekend... (and then MS State and then Auburn...) But for right now, we are the #1 team in the country!!! :cool1:
ROLL TIDE ROLL!

And TECH is #2, highest rank ever!

Theresa - What was Jim's reaction? Is there any hope of salvaging your marriage? Counseling? I hope the girls are okay.

The view out of the patio doors looks like a painting, I know you already have a twin sister Terry, but can I be your southern cousin and go along next time?

I just sat down to pay bills. The furnace ended up costing us about $8500 for our half  :scared1: Now I'm wondering if that vacation was such a good idea :sad2: We'll be fine, it is just the sticker shock. The furnace should last us 20 + years so we should have very minimal oil costs over those years which means that the $3000 dollars and increasing yearly we will be so much better off down the road. We should be cost free within 3 years. A sound investment right? :confused3 I will say that our house is very toasty tonight and with temps in the 20s he didn't come any too soon.

Wow, that's a pretty shocking amount, but it sounds like it will more than pay for itself so it was definitely a good investment.

We had a beautiful day here. It was in the 60s, and they kids were able to go out and ride bikes. All the talk about chili put me in the mood for it, so I made a double recipe and froze the leftovers. I got tons of laundry done, as well as the grocery shopping. Tomorrow the kids have a half day of school, then it's off to get flu shots and Nicholas' parent/teacher conference. I hope his teacher has a miraculous suggestion on how I can help improve Nicholas' reading comprehension. Alyssa has ballet in the evening and then off to Religion. Whew, it's gonna be a long day!

Never heard of that thing. And now you know why my kids don't have Legos. Although Nicholas wants some Star Wars ones for Christmas. I figure maybe it won't be so bad since he is older.

Becky still loves her lego sets. She likes to get one every year for Christmas. The more pieces the better. We got her some of the Harry Potter buildings, the batman car, and I don't remember what else. Right after we eat breakfast, she starts putting it together and doesn't stop until she has it together. Sometimes, she will take it apart just to put it back together.

I look forward to seeing the finished project.

It's not really photo worthy. It is just a poster board with a bunch of words on it. The drawings are no bigger than a quarter. Like Elin said, it was busy work.

So what's up with the wrapper on the floor on DH? Part of a set up?:confused3

I don't know. I would hate to think he is guilty of what she suspects. :sad2:

8gb USB Drive $16.99 at Buy.com with free shipping

Would make a nice stocking stuffer or x-mas gift.

Elin- Here are some links on how to make a Lego play mat bag. I had never heard of such a thing. I thought it would actually have a Lego type pieces on the mat to build on, the inside of the bag.

I am doing well. I had a fall festival yesterday, today I was at a Kids Expo event. I have something every night this week. Plus every day next weekend. I should just move into my car.;)

My brother's friend Chris ended up with a plate and 4 screws in his arm. Stephen went for x-rays on Friday as his back has really been hurting from the accident. Although he felt totally fine for like 2 days after.

I hope all of you are doing well. :wizard: :grouphug:  to all of you.

Those who are sick feel better.

If work is driving you nuts I hope things calm down.

If you have school projects I hope they go smoothly.

If you have family issues I hope they get better.

If your significant other is driving you crazy I hope they stop or things improve or you are guided to the best direction for your life.

If you lost someone hang in there.

Happy Birthday!

Happy Anniversary!

Good catch Debbie! This was the model, so it is a painting!!!:thumbsup2

I hope you're able to kick whatever is creeping up on you.

When we went past Kybecca last night on the Ghost Walk I told the kids to look through the windows because there was a good chance Mrs. H. might be in there. :goodvibes ;) We walked so fast though that nobody got a good look. Our guide was in a hurry!

I wasn't there so looking would have been in vain. :( I am glad you finally got to do the Ghost Walk. And I am glad the kids didn't get too upset after the initial scare.

I am with you, Tammi. I always get the shot and have never had a reaction like this before. I have not had the flu in years and years, so I am KNOCKING along with you!
