Good Morning DDA! It is still morning isn't it?
I put some holiday decorations in my siggy, but am not sure about them yet. It seems last night as I was doing it, I was in the mood. Not so much now! Oh well.... I might try to Thanksgiving it up a little!
Have a great Sunday all! I have to go back to work tonight, so my 5 night stretch dwindled down really quickly!

Good morning, DDA!!!
So far it's a good morning with only being a little stiff and sore. I spent 4+ hours in the yard yesterday and was feeling it when I woke up. Dad raked the back yard and mowed. I carted all of the backyard leaves to the front curb in the recycle bin - I calculated it at an average of 150 steps round trip per bin full of leaves and at least 30-35 bins of leaves. We could have done a tarp, but that was more trouble than it was worth last time around. I also turned my hands brown with a 30 gal trash can, 13 gal trash can and 2 medium sized boxes of black walnuts. I knew there was a reason I shouldn't have put those off. They are so much easier to pick up and a whole lot less messy when they are still the green balls and haven't started to soften on the ground. After that, I raked the front yard to the curb all while keeping Kaylin out of the street. It was a long afternoon and lots of work, but it's done! The back yard tress are all empty so we should be totally done there. The front yard trees have lots of leaves still, but at least I can rake those straight to the curb. The city comes around with a big truck and vacuums up the leaves in Nov and early Dec.
I even managed to get the kitchen and living room almost fully cleaned last night. Most of what is left is all of my Scout stuff that I need to finish up today and get sorted out as well. Today though, I get to dine with adults! We're having a not-quite baby shower lunch for Kristi's best friend. Just the ladies in our family and hers getting together and we chipped in on a few gifts cards. She's got plenty of baby stuff, but 3 older kids and a tight budget. We figured this way she could buy what she needed for any of the kids. Next weekend, though, I'm going to try for a lunch to myself, or a nice hour in the coffee shop, or a movie. Something quiet, peaceful and just for me. Man, do I need that!

Hmph. DH has announced that he needs new pants because ALL of his pants are hopelessly TOO BIG for him.

I did some google searches and it doesn't look good on the walnut stains. A couple of suggestions were lemon juice and nail polish remover but they didn't have any info on whether it worked for them - they were just suggestions. Most of the answers were that you just have to let it wear off.
Here was one more detailed answer:
Answer: Walnut Stain I saw your posting on walnut stain. Well, I have a beautiful set of colored fingers after cleaning up my bumper crop of nuts this weekend. I work for a hand cleaner company (GOJO) and I tried about a dozen different products over the last couple days. Nothing worked, including specialty ink & stain removers, bleaches, and some stuff the lab cooked up special. We figured out that the stain actually penetrated several layers of skin and is basically a temporary tattoo. I think the only option is to wear it off. I tried the Cornell advice for taking the stain out of clothing, but it didn't do anything for me. It's detergent/vinegar, then alcohol, then bleach, then vinegar again. I'm hoping you found something that works.

I figured as much on the stains, but oh well. I did get the majority of my hands clean, but I guess it's a good thing that I decided to take a hand washing break after finishing the walnuts before moving onto the rest of the leaves. If I'd waited until I finished, I'm sure the stain would have set in really nicely on my hands.

The grocery shopping is done, Hunter's back from his party and.....The new furnace is working
The house is nice and toasty and we are no longer burning oil. I am pleased that there is really no smoke at all, even less than what the oil furnace put out

Stephanie it sounds like you may need to visit your doctor. I know from personal experience that some of these current viruses just won't go away on their own.
