DDA Chapter 14

We decided to put on our swimsuits and head to the pool. The weather was beautiful, though not super hot. We used the pool, hot tub and sauna.

I think the photos were actually taken the next morning as I didn't want to take my camera to the pool.

After a couple of hours we decided to get changed and catch a boat to DD. The boat service had been stopped for the entire day as they were having some sort of boat race at DD. The first boat to go was at 5:30 and we were on it.

You can see the new treehouse villas being build in some of those photos. As a side note the official pricing chart for the THV has come out for next year and the 3 bedroom villas will be priced exactly the same as the 2 bedroom SSR villas.

As soon as we got off the boat we headed over to T-Rex. I've already shared our experience there, but here are the photos that go with it.

I forgot to mention that they brought Hunter's dessert out along with a slice of cake and sang a birthday song to him. He ate it up, the cake and the attention

After dinner Mom and I hit a couple of stores though we didn't feel like shopping at that point. Chris took the boys back to the villa and got them ready for bed. I needed to exchange our pepper mill as the first one cracked and I needed some Christmas Ornaments. After some quick shopping we headed back to the resort, did a load of laundry and fell asleep.

I am sitting here waiting for DS to call and let me know the bus is back from the football game. DH went to bed, but he said he will come with me to pick DS up. We'll see if that actually happens! If the shoe was on the other foot I wouldn't get out of my warm bed to ride to school with DH!
I am ready to go to bed now. I had all sorts of freak show dreams last night, and I always feel like I haven't slept after that. Besides, I was up at 4:51 AM and 5:08 AM taking things away from Arabella so it was hard to sleep after that.

After discussing Deb's T-Rex experience, DH and I have decided we see no reason to go there! We'll stick with Puck's for DTD dining.

Speaking of root canals..Bill is going in for one today....root canal & a crown $2000!

shhhhhhh... don't tell Kathrin. I don't think she really knows how much that little tumble is going to cost her.

The school just called and asked me to sub all day tomorrow too. I'm feeling better about things for the time being. If I can get in a good amount of subbing and continue with 2 or 3 nights at the restaurant then we should be fine. At least that is what I'm hoping. We will be fine, I just want to replenish our saving account since we bought the furnace and did an unplanned trip.

subbing can be so much fun, Deb. I loved doing that before I started where I am now!

On one of the other boards I read, someone was recommending a place at SSR for us to try. When she was touting their food and service I was somewhat dismayed to find the name of the place was.......

this is not funny...but they laugh about it now.....some friends of ours were going through a rough patch...they had seriously contemplated divorce....they decided to give it another go....so they had to make copies of the necessary legal documents.... they went together to Kinkos.....They got into a huge fight at the xerox machine and both announced "that's it" and by golly they got divorced.

it actually is funny... at a distance and to someone who is not intimately involved. I am glad that people can have amicable divorces like yours, Kristine. Makes for an easier time for the kids, I would think.

I found Abi's lunch on the counter as I was getting ready to leave for work (aforementioned pb&j and chips...she doesn't eat much) and I asked Jim to make sure to take it to her as soon as he was done dropping me off to work as she is also out of lunch money.

When I talked to him again and asked about it....he said he didn't get it to her because he chose to go do something else and thought he had until 11:30 (she eats at 10:40) and oh well. When I got upset because it didn't bother him one bit, he asked why it bothered me that this happens every once in awhile. The thing is, it's not every once in awhile it's constantly and the fact that he had such a nonchalant attitude about it made me disgusted at myself. Because I've enabled that attitude. I asked him if he wanted to know what I see when I look at him..he didn't, I told him anyway and I ended with that I pity him because he lost out on me and the girls with his selfishness.

I have to say, Theresa, that I have had that very conversation with Bob. There are rough patches here in what you all perceive as wedded bliss land too. More than you could possibly know.
But when that final straw breaks the proverbial camel's spine... you know when to let it go and make a new life. I know you will make it work.

I have a cold, and my sinuses are killing me. I wish I could just curl up under the covers right now.

I wish you better health, Beth. And if that is not forthcoming quickly, a nice warm bed to snuggle down under those covers!
