DDA Chapter 14

I'll try to type another installment of our trip report. We'll see how far I get.

I am really enjoying your TR, Deb. The pixie dust you received the morning you left OKW was wonderful! How thoughtful of that CM.

The pictures of your villa at VB look like it is similar to those at OKW too. How far from the beach were you? ***Did you have to drive or could you walk? Very pretty photos. Thanks for taking the time to post it all.

*** ETA: I see that the beach deck was within walking distance. Very cool! We have often talked about tacking on a day or so at VB on our to or from WDW one trip.

You should have!! Except that I wasn't there. ;) Bob would have enjoyed seeing some little ones I think.

I was at Kybecca with the adult Trick or Treaters. You should have seen some of the costumes!

There was a bishop and a cardinal in very authentic robes and mitres. Bacchus was there dressed in very little () and there were lots of pirates and witches and wizards. Amy, who works there, was a very convincing Sarah Palin.

There was a cluster of red grapes and a cluster of green grapes. :rotfl: This ingenious couple had purple and green balloons completely covering their entire bodies, with the exception of their heads and legs. They were removable because they did sit down and eat outside, but moving around inside the shop proved difficult for them. But it was a great costuming idea.
And what did you dress up as? A music teacher? :rotfl2:

I forgot to mention that I voted yesterday, so that is out of the way. It took me about 15 minutes, which surprised me. I stopped on my way home from work, around 3:30, and was expecting a long line. I must have just missed the crowd because after I got there lots of people were coming in.

Did you apply for an absentee ballot in advance?

And what did you dress up as? A music teacher? :rotfl2:

Yes, and I was very convincing! :rotfl2: Kristin was a banker and Ashley was a wine shop clerk! :lmao:

I did have on my blinking Halloween necklace from WDW that I cannot light up without going completely blind and threatening an epileptic seizure! I turned it on once for Rebecca and Amy and once for Chad and Kyle but that was it.

Theresa thank you for posting your chili recipe!

No, they had the forms there. You have to sign in front of someone official.

I have been tempted but I cannot miss being with Kristin when she votes in her first presidential election! I fear very long lines on Tuesday and I am afraid she will have to get up really early to be able to vote before she goes into work at noon. I have a 10:00 student, but she would understand if I was unable to make her lesson. I hope I am wrong about the lines!

I hope you are wrong too, but I have the same fear. I wanted to be able to take the kids with me, but I couldn't risk the long lines. Nicholas remembers being with me a last time, and Alyssa is too young to get it, so I just went without them.

I just read all the restrictions for Virginia's "absentee" ballotting.... I would not be eligible to vote since I am not at work or commuting for 11 of the 13 hours the polls are open.

I was adding the chili recipe to all my recipes I have been saving & I did something & poof they are gone :guilty:

Guess I will have to start over :sad2:

Technically, yes. ;)

Oh, no! I hope you find a way to recover them. :wizard:

DH said the lines were so long at our "normal" polling place yesterday that there were police directing traffic and 2 news crews gawking at the crowds.

I forgot to :guilty: Oh well maybe next month!

Don't feel bad. I forgot too! :sad2:

DS is still sleeping.

DH came home from work about 7:45 AM - he is finished for the day. He should have been finished even earlier because they told him there was no product going in today. He got in the truck and SURPRISE! it was full of chips! He got to Sam's and SURPRISE! all of their docks had trailers in them, and no cabs attached to the trailers! The Sam's guy said the truck driver was supposed to take the empty trailer with him when he dropped off the full one, but that's not what happened. So DH did what he needed to do inside the store and took the truck full of chips back to the warehouse. Stuff like that happens almost every day. It amazes me. :sad2:

No, I was saving in my email account. I should have known better

Maybe we can help you recreate it! Did you have some of the ones we posted last week at the end of Chapter 13?
