I have never been asked for my AP when using the DDE card.
I am never going to get used to "dining in Wonderland" or whatever its called now.;)

Love pumpkin, hate beer, so I am no help. I am absolutely certain that if a dog ever pees in my mouth it will taste exactly like beer.

See I don't like pumpkin nor beer....I've always equated the taste of beer to deer pee. People always ask me how I know that....I don't but they smell about the same:rotfl:

famous last words :rotfl2:maybe you heave me on ignore ;)

Kristine - for some reason your posts aren't showing up until after someone replies to them! I am not ignoring you. We love pumpkin beer! It is spicy and very refreshing. How fun to be your own micro-brewery!

I think we should all agree to continue to refer to things by their original names, even when WDW changes the name to something idiotic. Like calling MGM by a new name, and now the DDE card. They already HAD perfectly good name. No need for change! :headache:

beer kind of disgusts me right now....but because recently in a moment of insanity of reliving our youth, Bill & I joined a group for Penny Pitcher Night!! By the end, this included, double vision, sideways walking and hugging the toilet....and that was just Bill!! :lmao::lmao:

Earlier this morning I was seeing replies to your posts and could not figure out what they were talking about! :rotfl2:

They changed the names? ;) :rotfl: It will always be MGM to me.

What can you tell me about Wii Rock Band? Do I need to buy the guitar or anything separately? Yes, I'm trying to think about Christmas.

Also, Stephanie, we haven't heard how your Wii Challenge ended.

On the subject of school closures and redistricting...we are going through that here. We are in an aging and growing community and what used to be neighborhood, walk to elementary schools are now landlocked in the aging part of the district. So there are 4 elementary schools up for closure next fall...these are all schools that are at a lower spectrum of capacity, do not offer a "special" (ours is an arts, one is an IB, one is the only one that has intrepreters for the 16+ languages spoken in the building), is in an older building and can be easily redistricted to other schools without too much worry. I think it's a great use of our time and financially sound to do it.

But we still have squeaky wheels who are making this a bad process. I actually overheard a dad say that if their elementary was closed he'd go to the building inspectors with a laundry list of "problems" with the school they would be redistricted to.

The middle schools will be looked at next year but the High Schools are safe as there are only 3. Even if they weren't safe Littleton is still the main bringer inner (like that word play??) of out of district students, and the original high school so we are safe.

 :rotfl2:

I have this urge to crawl back into bed and pull the covers up today. I just got email from the son of my former piano professor and dear friend. She died last night, just shy of her 94th birhday. :(

Elin, I can just imagine she lived such a full life and will now be able to be with all of her friends enjoying the best music of all.

:rotfl: I am not a beer drinker anymore myself. But I will take a mixed drink or two :thumbsup2

that's been happening to me more and more frequently lately.

I can't tell you anything about it, because I don't know. :confused3 I saw a BUNCH of pieces for it at Sam's, but if you buy the "main" pack I don't know what all is included.

DS LOVES to make stop-motion films with his toys, so I think he would LOVE a camcorder for Christmas. But it needs to be one that records to DVD so we can load the films to the computer and post them on YouTube or whatever. Right now he is using our old camcorder that records to tapes, then the tapes go into an adapter to play in the VCR.

Kristine - Penny pitcher night does NOT sound like fun. :scared:
I haven't been falling-down, toilet-hugging drunk since I was about 23 or 24. My friend was getting married (in FL) so we went to the male strip show. One of the strippers was a guy I went to high school with. It was kind of a weird situation. Anyway, I had WAY too much to drink and was in bed the entire next day. I think I probably could have used medical treatment. Anyway, that was the end of that behavior. Now 2 drinks is my limit. :rolleyes1

I like vodka & club soda with a lime....drink 2 and I am good for the night.

I must say the Grey Goose slushie from France was VERY tasty. I could drink a couple of those. I don't like anything that tastes like alcohol. I had a thing at Jiko called a "Nutty African" and it was STRONG. :scared: Coffee with a shot of rubbing alcohol. Didn't like that. Gave it to DH to finish because it was so strong.

I've always known that Cassidy is like me personality wise....but last night she showed me just how much.

There is one particular freshman who could care less about marching band...so she said that she got so mad at him that she nearly told him to get off the field. I told her that it wasn't up to her...she said "I know and that's why I didn't, but I really, really wanted to mom". Just wait until she has the power:rotfl:

I just got off the phone with Kathrin. And now, instead of being worried for her I am angry for her.

She had done all the writing they needed done for the end of a publicity campaign and it had been approved by the president as ready for publication. Kathrin saw the final revisions with the handwritten kudos at the top of the pages of each one just as her boss called her in yesterday afternoon, almost at closing.

Her boss proceeds to tell her that they just don't feel that she is "meshing" with their team. She has not "brought what they thought they needed" to them. Kathrin said she found that a little funny because after she returned three weeks ago from the all-expenses paid trip to Las Vegas as one of only two representatives of the company they had told her that she was the "face" they wanted to present to their buyers and how pleased they were that they had "meshed" so well! Her boss looked her in the eye and said, if I said that I meant personality-wise. We just think it would be better if we went a different direction from this point onward. To say she was floored is an understatement!

It gets better. They handed her a check for the week's work and one day of accrued vacation time. Told her they would send her a month's severance and pay her insurance for the month and then escorted her to her desk and out of the building. While this was going on the head of sales was doing the very same thing to their top salesman. They both hit the lobby at the same time. They hardly know one another but shared their stories. That poor man has two young kids at home.

Later on last night a few of Kathrin's friends from work took her out for drinks and to commiserate. One of them is in the position to know a lot about the financial affairs of the company. Seems that Kathrin made more money than anyone else in her department and so did the salesman. Hmmmmmm.....

Sounds like a way to get out of paying unemployment to top salaried employees to me. I hope she has a chance to think about this and do some research. It is just nasty, in my opinion.
