Elizabeth and Robyn thanks for saying I could come. :)
I'd hate to see how much that ticket would cost.

About $240 from PHL, leaving on Thursday, returning Sunday. Not too bad. I was expecting worse. Both are direct flights.

Well I decided to try the Jiffy cornbread mix in the microwave(found on the net where someone had tried it)& it came out really good :thumbsup2

I bought a Fix it & Forget it Slow Cooker magazine today & wow it it has some yummy, easy recipes in it. I can't wait to try some of them out!

Elin - yay for the Segway tour. You will love it! Your schedule looks perfect!

Am I the only one that keeps thinking that this time last year we were getting ready to head to Disney for a wonderful DDA meet :sad1:

I enjoyed myself so much & everyone I met :goodvibes
::yes:: I so wish we were all going again.

Hi friends!!

We went house hunting in NC this weekend. Looked at the suburbs of Raleigh & were very happy with what we saw. So at least I feel more settled about that. We found 2 homes we liked alot but we have alot to digest as we saw 20 homes in 2 days in 2 towns (Cary & Chapel Hill).

We were in CH the day of the Tarheals/Notre Dame game so that was fun to see all the college spirit & sea of light blue shirts.

So things are moving along & I am not stressing (AS MUCH!:rotfl: )

We had a B%$#@ of a trip home on I 95. I got a ticket in VA for passing a slow car. :sad1: I had been the speed limit & passed this car was going under the speed limit & bang I got nailed! I think I was over the speed limit for 20 seconds....:sad2:

Then some jerk in a little sports car who was going too fast lost control of his car & had a huge spin out in the middle lane almost hitting us..I slammed on the breaks to keep away from him but we were about a foot away from each other when he spun around.

The traffic to get back into NY was CRAZY!!!!!!!!!! I laughed when our realtor told us they had alot of traffic in CH due to the football game...Hey you don't know traffic until you cross a bridge back into NYC!!! :lmao: :rotfl2:

Well anyway it was a very productive trip.

Hope everyone is doing good.
Sounds like everything is falling into place. Sorry about the ticket though. :(

Good gracious. :sad2:
I just got an e-mail from a nanny I know. Someone she knows is going to WDW in March. For Spring Break. She wants anyone who gets a code to give it to her so she can get a discount. She is already getting the free night's stay for her birthday. Anybody else see the problems in this scenario? :headache:
Bonehead.

DS got his report card today. A's in everything except math, language arts, and reading. Those are B's. What boggles my mind is language arts and reading. He aces those subjects, so how on earth did he end up with only an 84 in BOTH classes? That strikes me as VERY strange. I e-mailed the one teacher. The other one doesn't have an e-mail on file with the office. I just find it so bizarre that he had like a 98% at the 3 week mark when progress reports came out, and then it dropped to an 84%? What on earth did he do that made his grade that low in BOTH classes? Unless there is some sort of combining of the class grades? Last year he had the same teacher for both classes but there was a separate grade for each. Weird.
Excellent! I hope you get to the bottom of the mystery grades.

We had a very nice day.

Bob and Bethany came over and after breakfast we were off and running. First we took both of my kids for haircuts, then off to the mall. Alyssa got a few new outfits and I got my eyebrows done. They were slowly turning into a unibrow. I got some things returned/exchanged and then we stopped for a game of putt-putt. Bob sucks at putt-putt.

Which makes me looks REALLY good! He took us all out to dinner at Smokey Bones. Alyssa had ballet tonight and Nicholas' football practices have been changed from Tues/Thurs to Mon/Thurs. I felt so much better today, until I spent 2 hours out in the damp, cool air at football. Now I'm coughing again. It was nice to get out of the house for awhile.

Kevin's boss saved my sanity today by closing down the office at noon (the courts were already closed for Columbus Day).

I was confident that I could handle portraits by myself, because I packed popcorn and a movie. I figured we could get a few shots of all three kiddos and then I could set Alyssa and Matty up with the movie and focus on Noah. The only problem...the TV was broken!

Kevin wins the "husband of the day" award for deciding to join us for this expedition without my having to call him. After Kevin viewed the proofs, he took Alyssa and Matty home.

I should be able to share the pictures with you by the end of the week. We also saw the big wall portrait of the DDA celebrities, Avery and Elise. :goodvibes

Oh, and I wasn't the only one panicked about a broken TV...you should have seen the poor photographer. She was already in a frenzy because yesterday, a co-worker's appendix burst and this morning, another co-worker was in a car accident. Thank goodness corporate promised her a new TV shipped within 24 hours!

Yay for Kevin! And I am assuming you are feeling better today, Amy. :thumbsup2

Tammi, that sounds like a wonderful day, until the coughing part! I hope tomorrow finds you feeling even better.

Thanks to all of you for the good comments on my itinerary! :goodvibes

Elizabeth and/or Marci - Have either of you heard from Lindsay lately?

Tammi - Tell him to hit the ball with the heel of the club. I read that in a Golf magazine. It is very, very good advice. I rock at Putt Putt. ;)
Sorry your cough is back. :guilty:

NO! I don't want him to beat me. I had 44 and he had 60something. ;)

We were short handed at work tonight. Thankfully it wasn't extremely busy, but it was busy enough. I really shouldn't have gone in as it only took minutes before I was simply exhausted with a bad back ache. I made it until the end, but it sucked. I have tomorrow night off. I should be feeling much better before my shift on Wednesday night.

Once I got home from work I gathered us all together and we made little snack bags for our flight. Reese's peices, M&Ms, chocolate covered pretzels, peanuts, chex mix. Everyone put only what they wanted in their bags so everyone should be happy :thumbsup2 We'll grab some drinks at the airport. Our flight is almost 5 hours as we have a stop in Philadelphia that I didn't notice when I booked :sad2:

Sorry for the layover. I hope that you have no issues and get to Florida quickly. You are going to have a great time.:thumbsup2

the band should be playing right now...they got 3rd from last performance because of their regional score last year....it's COLD here today but it is home field so that should help too. I can't wait to hear their score in an hour.

:wizard: for a great score!

Since I stayed home with Abi I actually got a little bit done...I also remember why I would love/hate to be a stay at home mom. It was nice to make sure Cassidy had a good meal before she went off to play but I also know I wasn't meant to stay at home and do just housework.

Elin - where did you book your carriage ride? I made our reservation at FtW but all they had was 8PM. I was hoping for something earlier, since our Park Fare ADR is 4:30. Plus I want to get to get the kids to bed at a decent hour. I'll keep checking to see if something earlier opens.

Tammi-I've been dealing with that cough the last week....It is no fun!!:wizard:
